The Siberian Husky is a beautiful dog breed with a thick coat that comes in a multitude of colors and markings. Their blue or multi-colored eyes and striking facial masks only add to the appeal of this breed, which was originally developed by the Chukchi people of the Chukchi Peninsula in eastern Siberia. In their language, husky means "hoarse", characteristic of the dog's barking.

They were brought to Nome, Alaska, in 1908 for sled-dog racing.

In general, in competitions, the Siberian Husky, faster than other breeds, compete in a separate category.

Siberian Huskies have captured the imagination of the masses, as well as artists, writers, and film producers, with their eye-catching looks and awe-inspiring talents.

This medium-size working dog possesses power and athleticism. First developed as sled dogs — some are still used in this capacity — Huskies are remarkable dogs — and their ability to learn is staggering.

Beautiful dog seen on Animal Rescue in Australia.

She went to a new loving home.

The Siberian Husky is a medium-sized working sled dog breed. The breed belongs to the Spitz genetic family. It is recognizable by its thickly furred double coat, erect triangular ears, and distinctive markings, and is smaller than the similar-looking Alaskan Malamute.

I was away last week visiting some very good friends in Finland along with their husky and four young puppies. The puppies are about 6 weeks old and full of life. It was great fun to watch them playing in the snow.

We were very fortunate that it snowed in Helsinki just before we arrived after a warmer than usual Winter with very little snow. The temperatures dropped to minus 10 degrees C which was perfect for the activities we wanted to do including skiing at nearby resorts and skating on a frozen lake. We also took a boat across to the old city of Tallinn, Estonia.

Matter of fidelity...

The TXL Br7193.313 is inheriting the "Kassel Huskies" livery previously applied to the Br185.540.

Pretty curious that the hockey team of the "TRAXX City" is now sponsored by a Bavarian Vectron... however the huge delays in the Br188 program led to this.

Here she's running an heavy gas train from the German border to Corneaux in Pieterlen on the Solothurn-Bienne main line.

It seems that TXL has finally replaced with its own Fleet the previous HSL trains.

A beautiful Husky running out at Laytown Beach

Went out yesterday to practice with my new lens, and this handsome fella was the best shot i managed to get.

An easy target and not ideal conditions (sunny), but you've still got to nail the eye. So the lens certainly did it's job here
