'I can bring a change, I can bring the thunder and the rain,

Everything around me, everything will rearrange.

I'm coming back like a hurricane,

I'm gonna take you higher.

On a cloud of silver haze,

I wanna take you higher,

Away, away, away.'

No matter how many nights that you lie wide awake to the sound of poison rain

Where did you go? Where did you go? Where did you go?

As days go by, the night's on fire

Tell me would you kill to save a life?

Tell me would you kill to prove you're right?

Crash, crash, burn, let it all burn

This hurricane's chasing us all underground

Big Sur, California

I wanna wake up

With your weight by my side

And I wanna think that

You look good as you rise

And I wanna turn to you

Turn around by your side

And I wanna think

But not to say

Let me face

The sound and fury

Let me face

Hurricanes

And I wanna see you

As you walk through the door

And time will make us

Some ways less and some ways more

And I wanna talk of nothing

As the world passes by

And I wanna think

But not to say

Let me face

The sound and fury

Let me face

Hurricanes

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag

Drifting through the wind, wanting to start again?

Do you ever feel, feel so paper-thin

Like a house of cards, one blow from caving in?

Do you ever feel already buried deep

Six feet under screams but no one seems to hear a thing

Do you know that there's still a chance for you

'Cause there's a spark in you?

You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine

Just own the night like the 4th of July

'Cause, baby, you're a firework

Come on, show 'em what you're worth

Make 'em go, "Ah, ah, ah"

As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework

Come on, let your colors burst

Make 'em go, "Ah, ah, ah"

You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe

You don't have to feel like a wasted space

You're original, cannot be replaced

If you only knew what the future holds

After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe a reason why all the doors are closed

So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road

Like a lightning bolt your heart will glow

And when it's time you'll know

You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine

Just own the night like the 4th of July

'Cause, baby, you're a firework

Come on, show 'em what you're worth

Make 'em go, "Ah, ah, ah"

As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework

Come on, let your colors burst

Make 'em go, "Ah, ah, ah"

You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

It's always been inside of you, you, you

And now it's time to let it through, -ough, -ough

'Cause, baby, you're a firework

Come on, show 'em what you're worth

Make 'em go, "Ah, ah, ah"

As you shoot across the sky

Baby, you're a firework

Come on, let your colors burst

Make 'em go, "Ah, ah, ah"

You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Boom, boom, boom

Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon

Happy Holidays Everyone and Happy 2009

This was from a short holiday I took last week during the holidays to Olympic National Park up on Hurricane Ridge. I had a blast in the colder temperatures and barely made it out my car or up the hill. I do not think I have seen that much snow in my whole life.

This was shot at f/22 to achieve the sunburst that I wanted without too much sun flare.

Thanks for any comments or critiques

These pine stumps show how far the beach erodes during hurricanes. (Hurricane Michael was the latest in 2018.) This beach is 2-3 feet lower than it's previous level.

Hurricane Ridge is a mountainous area In Olympic National Park with an elevation of 5,242 feet.

With hurricane Ophelia arriving in British Isles. With the unusal coloured skies as seen from our back garden, I photographed the setting sun at around 5pm. I could see a small sunspot & flare coming off sun's limb at 3 o'clock position (on the sun). Click to enlarge :)

The world seems very big from the vantage point of Hurricane Ridge on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.

Hurricane Ridge, seventeen miles from Port Angeles WA, is the most easily accessed mountain area within Olympic National Park in Washington state. In clear weather, fantastic views can be enjoyed throughout the year. The Ridge has a number of hiking trails, from ridge top traverses to steep trails that descend to subalpine lakes and valleys. During the winter months, snow enthusiasts enjoy the winter scenery, along with snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and sledding. My wife and I hiked for hours on the trails, we earned a beer or two after a full day exploring. We live in Victoria on Vancouver Island and Port Angels is only 22 miles away by ferry. We can see the Olympic Mountain range in the background of this photo quite clearly, a spectacular view from our city.

Thank you for taking the time to view.

Took on the challenge to ride up to Hurrican Ridge, in the Olympic National Park. 19 miles of continuous ascending with 12% grades at times.

Panoramic view of the Olympic National Park at Hurricane Ridge.

The Hurricane Ridge is named for its intense gales and winds, the weather in the Olympic Mountains is unpredictable.

The road to the Hurricane Ridge is very steep and needless to say I was very apprehensive while riding up there. Once we arrived, the clouds had formed above the mountains obstructing their visibility, nevertheless the view was spectacular. We went around the place for a while, took some pictures, well a lot of pictures, than started to descend the mountain not fast enough for me.
