A massive thank you in advance for all your kindness and support ,i really appreciate each and every one of you so much . Huge hugs and much love to you all my dear friends 💕
Huge shorebird with incredibly long, decurved bill. Buffy overall with brighter cinnamon wings, especially obvious in flight. Occurs in open fields, marshes, and beaches in western North America; can be seen singly or in flocks. Exceptional bill length and shape usually rules out other large shorebirds like Marbled Godwit or Whimbrel, although note that juveniles (especially males) have shorter bills than adults. Also note lack of dark head stripes and blue-gray legs. Listen for “cur-lee!” call. (eBird)

Canadian Lifer! I was not expecting to see a curlew in a sea of grass in the middle of BC. And yet, there it is, quietly stalking through the grass in search of insects. Birds can often surprise me!
Cawston, British Columbia, Canada. June 2022.

The sun has been huge the last few nights. I finally made it to a spot without corn where I could catch the full view - but was about five minutes too late.
Years ago, there was a tree next to the other. Climate change greetings - unfortunately! Ergo, something must be done against it.
A huge ego is your worst enemy. An inflated ego can lead you astray and ruin your life. It can destroy your relationships, prevent you from recognizing opportunities, and inhibit true success. Granted, we all need self-esteem and confidence to win in this world. But when confidence becomes arrogance, you risk ruining everything you’ve worked hard to build.

Thank you for your visits and comments!. especially appreciated about my long time Flickr friend's supporting on my works!.
I saw this great blue heron with this huge fish and I only got a few pictures before it swallowed it whole. It must of been struggling with it for awhile because there is no way it swallowed the fish that easily.
I took both the tours of Blanchard Springs Caverns in Arkansas. I'd never heard of this place, but it had huge underground rooms with lots of elaborate cave decorations like this and was every bit as good as Carlsbad Caverns. I didn't have a tripod, so I braced the camera on the railings where I could.
My inventory is huge. It's almost like a shopping trip when I dig around in there to find something to add to a photo. I think I lucked out this time. I also went to Kustom9 which just opened yesterday and really got a haul. So, I'm mixing the old with the new and it all says to me, "turn on the summer!"

This is the first year our Itoh Peony flowered and was very surprised at the size of these seed pods!!
Itoh peonies, with their spectacular flowers and beautiful colors are a gift to gardeners everywhere.
Itoh peonies originated by crossing herbaceous peonies and tree peonies, and they combine the best features of each. While they have the mounded growth habit of herbaceous peonies and die back to the ground in winter, they also produce immense flowers like tree peonies.
While exploring Squamish in September , we had a look in a public garden. I did not succeeded in growing a pumpkin this year ( only sunflowers and a few cherry tomatoes). I did not carve the pumpkin I had at home , only drawn a face - will not show it on Flickr. There were lots of fireworks in my neighbourhood last night. Today we start November with sun ( unfortunately it is not going to be sunny all week) . To all many thanks for your comment . Have a good week.
Photographed from A12 Prout's Island a Cumulonimbus Cloud over Sesekinika Lake in Sesekinika in the Township Grenfell in Northeastern Ontario Canada
Infamous for bringing heavy precipitation and storms, cumulonimbus clouds are huge clouds that can spread between the differing levels of the troposphere, towering up into very high altitudes (you can’t really miss them). Their tops seem to resemble an anvil.

This was such a cool place
A huge dam appeared when we came around the corner, so we drove up and saw this, sigh
This is up at 1000 meter above sea level
In Schwetzingen castle grounds I discovered a nice view out of the window of an old temple over to a mosque, designed by Nicolas de Pigage. The late-Baroque building serves no religious purpose.
Schwetzingen Palace Gardens are a cultural heritage site of European significance: more than 100 sculptures are scattered throughout this wonderful, and at times surprising, landscape. An assortment of whimsical buildings lend an exotic touch. Most spectacularly, in the Türkischer Garten (Turkish gardens), there is a mosque designed by Nicolas de Pigage – the largest structure of its kind in a German garden. Ornamented with oriental details, the late-Baroque building was purely decorative and served no religious purpose.
Huge gray heron, no other similar species in range. Note large yellow-orange bill, short black plumes on head, and black and chestnut pattern on shoulder. Immatures are more brownish than adults, and have a dark crown. Fairly common and widespread throughout North America; wintering range extends to northern South America. Occurs in almost any wetland habitat, from small ponds to marshes to saltwater bays. Usually seen singly but can gather in numbers where food is plentiful. White form, sometimes considered a separate species (“Great White Heron”), is found in southern Florida and the Caribbean. It is most similar to Great Egret but has a larger bill. (eBird)
---------------
It's tiring, standing around in cold water and waiting for a fish to swim by, so this heron decided to take a nap. He was standing on a branch, head tucked in, for a while before we noticed him. The flurry of cameras and clicks from nearby photographers roused him briefly for a quick look before he resumed his nap. He knew we couldn't get to him across the fast-moving water.
Britannia Conservation Area, Ottawa, Ontario. August 2023.
Working the evening shift at the Redwood Forest, Warburton East. The mosquitos there were huge. I suspect the four EYR's on duty (just in one place alone) were enjoying a feast.
Tree work is tough and dangerous.
While admiring the brave tree workers, I cry for that huge, beautiful tree which had been filtering air and shading us for hundreds of years. I enjoyed so much taking its pictures in different seasons and light. And it was so nice watching from my window the lives on and around it - the singing birds' families; the busy squirrels' siblings; the stopping by but chased off owl and hawk visitors; kids running and swinging in its shade; deer and foxes wandering around it, ...
The enormous emptiness left is unfillable. Trees are our ignored heroes, one of our lifelines.
