Esta misma ruta conduce a otro de los sitios históricos más representativos del municipio, el pueblo de Jarpitío (lugar de frutas agrias), actualmente conocido como comunidad de Aldama y considerado el único pueblo del municipio, ubicado al norte del mismo,

Fue fundado como la estancia de Jaripitío a mediados del Siglo XVI, época de la cual aun existen viviendas, aunque de la hacienda quedan sólo bardas derruidas.

En pie queda bien conservada la Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, de la cual destaca una sola torre de corte colonial y que a diferencia de la mayoría de las iglesias tiene su entrada en la base de la torre que alcanza más de 20 metros de altura.

Esta población fue rica en producción de limas y limones así como de leche de cabra y productos derivados según refiere la historia local, de aquella tradición actualmente en el pueblo permanece una fábrica de dulces de leche que se denomina Aldama.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.

St. Louis is an independent city and inland port in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is situated along the western bank of the Mississippi River, which marks Missouri's border with Illinois. The Missouri River merges with the Mississippi River just north of the city. These two rivers combined form the fourth longest river system in the world. The city had an estimated 2017 population of 308,626 and is the cultural and economic center of the St. Louis metropolitan area (home to nearly 3,000,000 people), which is the largest metropolitan area in Missouri, the second-largest in Illinois (after Chicago), and the 22nd-largest in the United States.

Before European settlement, the area was a regional center of Native American Mississippian culture. The city of St. Louis was founded in 1764 by French fur traders Pierre Laclède and Auguste Chouteau, and named after Louis IX of France. In 1764, following France's defeat in the Seven Years' War, the area was ceded to Spain and retroceded back to France in 1800. In 1803, the United States acquired the territory as part of the Louisiana Purchase. During the 19th century, St. Louis became a major port on the Mississippi River; at the time of the 1870 Census it was the fourth-largest city in the country. It separated from St. Louis County in 1877, becoming an independent city and limiting its own political boundaries. In 1904, it hosted the Louisiana Purchase Exposition and the Summer Olympics.

The economy of metropolitan St. Louis relies on service, manufacturing, trade, transportation of goods, and tourism. Its metro area is home to major corporations, including Anheuser-Busch, Express Scripts, Centene, Boeing Defense, Emerson, Energizer, Panera, Enterprise, Peabody Energy, Ameren, Post Holdings, Monsanto, Edward Jones, Go Jet, Purina and Sigma-Aldrich. Nine of the ten Fortune 500 companies based in Missouri are located within the St. Louis metropolitan area. The city has also become known for its growing medical, pharmaceutical, and research presence due to institutions such as Washington University in St. Louis and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. St. Louis has two professional sports teams: the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball and the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League. One of the city's iconic sights is the 630-foot (192 m) tall Gateway Arch in the downtown area.

Busch Stadium, also referred to informally as "New Busch Stadium" or "Busch Stadium III", is a baseball stadium located in St. Louis, Missouri, the home of the St. Louis Cardinals, the city's Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise. Team owner William Dewitt Jr., said: "From the day we began planning for the new ballpark, we wanted to keep the name ‘Busch Stadium.' August Busch IV and Anheuser-Busch share our vision for continuing that tradition for our great fans and the entire St. Louis community."

It is the third stadium in St. Louis to carry the name Busch Stadium. Sportsman's Park was renamed Busch Stadium in 1953. Team owner August Busch Jr. had planned to name it Budweiser Stadium, but league rules prohibited naming a venue after an alcoholic beverage. Busch named the stadium after himself & his Anheuser-Busch later introduced the "Busch Beer". The first Busch Stadium closed in 1966 and both the baseball Cardinals, and the National Football League (NFL)'s team of the same name (now the Arizona Cardinals) moved to a new multi-purpose stadium, named Busch Memorial Stadium (Busch Stadium II).

- I just spent the afternoon in a wonderful nature park in Sainte-Catherine on the St-Lawrence River (Fleuve Saint-Laurent) facing the Lachine Rapids. I had never been there. This is a beach right next to the river at the entrance of the park. I took this photo through the chain-link fence as I was leaving and the sun was setting. The water level is obviously much higher during the bathing season. It was very hot! Our Summer has finally arrived (we had so much rain since the Spring until mid-August.). Now, we have real Summer weather.

- Je viens de passer l'après-midi dans un magnifique parc nature à Sainte-Catherine au bord du Fleuve Saint-Laurent face aux Rapides Lachine. Je n'y étais encore jamais allée. Ceci est la plage juste à côté du fleuve à l'entrée du parc. J'ai pris la photo à travers la clôture de métal comme je quittais et que le soleil se couchait. Le niveau de l'eau est évidemment bien plus élevé durant la saison de baignade. Il faisait très chaud! Notre été vient d'arriver (on a eu tellement de pluie depuis le printemps jusqu'à la mi-août). Maintenant, on a une vraie température d'été.

L'uva fragola (detta anche Uva americana, Isabella, Raisin de Cassis) è la più antica "vite americana" introdotta in Europa ben prima che sorgesse il problema della fillossera ed ascrivibile alla specie linneana Vitis Labrusca (ma per alcuni potrebbe essere un ibrido americano tra la V. labrusca e la Vitis vinifera). In Francia si hanno le sue prime notizie nel 1820 e in Italia nel 1825.

È un vitigno poco resistente alla fillossera ed alla peronospora, ma resiste bene al freddo, il che spiega la sua diffusione nelle vallate alpine. Il vino che se ne produce, detto fragolino, ha un particolare aroma di fragola che i francesi chiamano framboisier o cassis e gli anglosassoni foxy (volpino). Questo aroma in passato non è stato molto apprezzato, ma ora il fragolino sta trovando sempre più estimatori.

We’re going to help them by creating a brand new marketing campaign that includes a new responsive website, trifold brochure, postcard sized pamphlets for handing out on the streets, posters and some t-shirt designs.

The ZURB Wired 24-hour marathon is where our team and the team from one lucky local nonprofit get together to do something great in 24 hours. We spend the day helping the nonprofit solve a big challenge; whether it be marketing for an upcoming event, or completely overhauling their brand; and we get it all done in 24 hours.

this afternoon i found this little guy on my patio. he was a little upset but not too stressed now that he's had some food and a dish of cream. he has no tail, is very probably male (but won't let me check to be sure) and is very affectionate. he's met a couple of the neighbourhood cats who dropped by to visit and they all seem to get along decently, so he may have been living with other cats. he wants in my apartment but i've set him up with a comfortable bed and he's found a few nooks in the woodpile and among the plants to hide in.

i've put an ad up on craigslist and attempted to do the same on kijiji (but that site is screwy as hell for me when i want to post - anyone who is a wizard there, please feel free to contact me). hopefully we'll get this guy back home before long. if any of you locals recognise him (or would like to have a very affectionate cat in your home), please get in touch. i've nicknamed him swayback for the moment as he crouches and walks a little oddly - he may have a rear hip or leg problem but it's not bad as he can jump up on my benches easily.

update: i just found out he belongs to a neighbour and he's not an outdoor cat. unfortunately i haven't seen him in a few days, but apparently he was recently spotted so he may get home soon. his name is sailor and he was last seen on salisbury avenue.

final update: sailor's back home after his adventure. a neighbour a block away found him and called his humans, i just found out. good news at last.

Porquerolles (French pronunciation: ​[pɔʁkəʁɔl]), also known as the Île de Porquerolles, is an island in the Îles d'Hyères, Var, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. Its land area is 1,254 hectares (12.54 km2; 4.84 sq mi) and in 2004 its population was about 200.

Porquerolles is the largest, most westerly of the three Îles d'Hyères. It is about 7 km (4.3 miles) long by 3 km (1.9 miles) wide, with five small ranges of hills. The south coast is lined with cliffs, and on the north coast are the port and the beaches of Notre Dame, La Courtade, and Plage d'Argent.

The island's village was established in 1820, with its lighthouse constructed in 1837 and church in 1850. The entire island was purchased in 1912 by François Joseph Fournier, apparently as a wedding present for his wife; he planted 200 hectares (500 acres) of vineyards which produced a wine that was among the first to be classified as vin des Côtes de Provence.

In 1971 the state bought 80 percent of the island to preserve it from development. Much of the island is now part of a national park (the Port-Cros Parc National) and nature conservation area (Conservatoire botanique national méditerranéen de Porquerolles).

It is the setting for the 1949 novel Mon Ami Maigret (My Friend Maigret) by Georges Simenon and the 1964 novel Valparaiso by Nicolas Freeling.

Since 2010, the island also hosts a jazz festival each summer ("Jazz à Porquerolles").

On December 28, 2016 Var Martin reported that residents were considering blockading the port to protest the closure of the post office and the police station.(Wikipedia)

Day 6 of our Tour du Mont Blanc, on Exodus' Mont Blanc Circuit trip - a clockwise circumambulation of the Mont Blanc massif

It was a day to say Tschuss to Switzerland (our time here was short but sweet) and Ciao Italia as today's route took us to the head of the Swiss Val Ferret, across the Grand Col Ferret and into the Italian Val Ferret, aka the Val d'Aosta.

We left La Fouly along the road, catching views behind us of Mont Dolent, before turning off the road and onto the footpath towards La Peule. There were a few more stretches of tarmac en route, but having crossed back over the Dranse de Ferret at Les Ars Dessous the slow, steady climb we were on an unpaved track, overtaking and being overtaken by a large group of American schoolkids, carrying heavy looking packs.

After a breather at the Alpage de la Peule, where we admired the cows and the yurts(!), Hazel, Waiora and I continued our steady ascent towards the Grand Col Ferret. As we climbed under grey skies, it got colder, windier and bleaker, so our lunchtime stop at the Col was decidedly brief. Still, enough time for photos of us at the highest point of our TMB, and into Italy along the Dora di Ferret, winding its way down from the Pre' De Bar glacier towards Courmayeur, passing beneath the Grandes Jorasses.

A steep descent was broken by the need to take more photos at almost every turn, but eventually we reached our rendezvous with Simon at the Refugio Elena where we treated ourselves to the super gloopy Cioccolata Calda (I didn't realise at the time that the unctuous consistency is usually generated using cornflour... ) to fortify us for the final 45 minute stroll down the road to the bus stop at Arnuova (1,769 m), where the tarmaced road runs out. It was a little further (and less obvious) than we thought, and even with gravity assisting us we only just made it with a few minutes to spare.

The Savda bus brought us to Camping Grandes Jorasses on the northern edge of Planpincieux, where we were to have the luxury of two nights, and showers at 0.50€ per 15 liters of hot water. Exodus cover the first 0.50€ each day, and 15l proved enough (for me!). A cool afternoon and evening, so after sorting out our tent and a cup of tea and a biscuit, Hazel and I stretched our legs with a stroll down to Planpincieux and views up to the Grandes Jorasses, Pointe Helbronner and assorted glaciers before the epic 16+ pizza gluttony dinner, provided by the Camping Grandes Jorasses's onsite pizza oven.

2da Edición Festival Indio Catrina 2017

Con gran éxito se llevó a cabo la segunda edición del Festival Catrina con sede en San Andrés, Cholula Puebla.

En punto de las 12:00 del día los accesos al Parque Pirámide de Cholula, se habilitaron para recibir a los cientos de fans entusiasmados por bailar y cantar al ritmo de sus canciones favoritas.

La fiesta comenzó y la agrupación que se encargó de abrir el escenario Catrina fue Surfistas Del Sistema, integrado por Francisco Frione, Cisco Achaval, Rama Vázquez, Mariel Santiso y Agustín Eloy Landriel originarios de Argentina, con toda la energía tocaron canciones como “Ni bien ni mal” “Labios de Miel” “Como muere el tiempo” “Cuerpo de Luz” .

El Músico Chileno Sebastián Soto mejor conocido como El Viaje de Seth dio lo mejor de su repertorio en el Escenario Cholula siendo las 12:10 del día, acompañado de cuatro músicos presentaron canciones de su más reciente álbum “En el Tiempo” este segundo disco trata principalmente de su viaje al pasado y futuro dedicado a el niño interno, canciones como “Niño” “Calma” “Transparente” fueron la sensación.

Originario de Monterrey, Charlie Rodd con 24 años de edad y una fusión de todo tipo de géneros musicales, comenzó su participación a las 12:20 del día, las fans corrían al escenario Indio para cantar con él sus mejores y más sonados temas como lo son: “Historia” “Eternidad” “Estrellas en el mar” y muchas más.

Posteriormente el grupo Indio, creado en 2009 en Rosario, provincia de Santa Fe. La agrupación ha participado en diversos festivales, tienen dos discos “Indios” y “Asfalto” que reúne canciones propias, los integrantes son Joaquín Vitola, Nicolás de Sanctis, Patricio Sánchez, Guillermo Montironi, Agustin Majdalani, Federico Pellegrini. Melodías como “Lucidez” “Tu geografía” “Jullie” dieron ese toque fresco en el Escenario Catrina.

424 es una banda de rock costarricense. Su historia comienza en el año 2009, sus integrantes: (cantante) Felipe Pérez, (guitarrista) Guayo Mena, (bajista) Leonardo Valverde y (baterista) Juan Carlos Pardo. Con su música “Animo” “La Olas” “Al Hueco” “Gala” sorprendieron a los asistentes en el escenario Indio.

Desde que la cantante, compositora e instrumentista nacida en Córdoba, Argentina Daniela Spalla se presentó en el escenario Catrina el público poblano comenzó a bailar al ritmo de su música. Con diversos géneros de música como jazz, pop, rock hizo que a las 13:20 horas la gente se mantuviera contenta con este magno evento.

Lori Meyers es uno de los grupos de mayor popularidad en España, y en esta ocasión visitando nuestro país con gran respuesta, esta agrupación es originaria de la localidad granadina de Loja, se formó en 1998. Su sexto disco llamado "En la espiral" se publicó a comienzos de 2017. El grupo formado por Ale Méndez, Alfredo Núñez y Noni López conjuga inmediatez y complejidad. En el escenario Indio ofreció una selección de sus mejores canciones como “Mi Realidad” “Siempre Brilla el Sol” “Emborracharme” por mencionar a algunas.

Con su peculiar estilo y la conjunción de músicos argentinos Banda de Turistas, retorna a Puebla. Presentándose en el escenario Catrina, la agrupación surge a principios de 2006 es una fusión de dos grupos: uno predominantemente instrumental, con guiños al rock alemán y la música de fines de los '60, y otro enfocado en la canción pop. El particular sonido de la banda, rápidamente logro captar la atención del público.

Desde Noruega llega al escenario Indio con una energía impresionante la banda Kakkmaddafakka con un género de Rock combinado con elementos del hip hop, reggae, disco, R&B y música house. Formada por los hermanos Axel y Pal Vindenes, junto con sus amigos Stian Saevig, Kristoffer Van Der Pas, Lars Helmik Raaheim, Sebastián Emin.

A la 15:30 horas el reggae se apoderó del escenario Catrina con la agrupación SOJA - Soldiers of Jah Army con origen en el condado de Arlington, Virginia. Jacob Hemphill, cantante y guitarrista desde el instante en que comenzó a cantar “Rest of My Life” género desde el primer momento una gran interacción con el público quienes no dejaron de corear y bailar al ritmo de la música.

Camilo Séptimo se formó en 2014, Manuel Mendoza decidió reunirse con viejos amigos, músicos todos ellos, para hacer folk y pasarla bien. Los integrantes de esta agrupación son Jonathan Meléndez (teclados), Manuel Mendoza (voz y bajo), Erik Vázquez (guitarra) y Marco Alarcón (batería). Sus grandes éxitos como “Miénteme” “Vicio” “No te Puedo Olvidar” cautivaron a los asistentes en el escenario Indio.

Desde el escenario Cholula, José Madero prendió el entusiasmo, quien interpretó temas como “Noche de brujas”, “Lo sobrenatural” y “Sonámbulos”, los cuales fueron coreados por sus seguidores. Ante los medios compartió su emoción “Disfrute mucho mi participación; es diferente este tipo de eventos en los que tienes tiempo límite. Venimos de tocar ayer en Mérida y antier en Cancún”

En punto de las 19:30 horas el escenario Catrina recibió al músico estadounidense Albert Hammond Jr. desde que apareció en escena el público quedó asombrado con su talento musical, tocó sus mejores éxitos como lo son: “Losing Touch”, “Full Performance”, “Coming to Getcha” por mencionar algunas.

“¡Cómo está la Banda!” “Micky” Huidobro grito para dar inicio la presentación de la banda de rock Molotov, junto a los demás integrantes Ismael “Tito” Fuentes, Randy Ebright y Paco Ayala. “Perro negro”, “Fuga”, “Puto” y “Amateur” fueron algunos de los éxitos con los que Molotov hizo que el público diera brincos y mantuvieran las manos al aire.

Una de las bandas más esperadas fue Zoe presentándose en el escenario Catrina a las 20:30 horas. Desde el instante en el que el vocalista León Larregui pisó el escenario el público no paraba de ovacionar su nombre. Con su cálida voz deleitó al público presente, canciones como “Love” “Arrullo De Estrellas” “Labios Rotos” “Soñé”.

Conmemorando el 30 aniversario de una de las bandas Mexicanas más exitosas. Caifanes se presentó en el escenario INDIO, el cuarteto conformado por Saúl Hernández, Diego Herrera, Sabo Romo y Alfonso André, apoyados por Rodrigo Baills en la guitarra. Demostraron que a pesar de los años, siguen con su estilo característico. “Dioses ocultos”, “Viento” “Antes de que nos olviden” y “Nubes “son algunas de las canciones que se dejaron escuchar.

Panteón Rococó fue el encargado de cerrar el festival con el género de Rock, su presentación fue muy exitosa ya que la mayor parte del tiempo interactuó con el público. Canciones como “La dosis perfecta” “La carencia” “Vendedora de Caricias” hicieron que los asistentes se volvieran locos y eufóricos con su presentación.

Sin duda la segunda edición del Festival Catrina fue todo un éxito, con más de 12 horas de diversos géneros musicales, sonidos de guitarras eléctricas, bajos, baterías, sintetizadores, panderos y demás instrumentos crearon una atmósfera de fiesta que combinaron a la perfección con los diferentes estilos de voz que estuvieron acompañadas de la energía del público poblano.

The prominent net huts on the beach in Hastings Old Town are made of clinker weather boarding and stand an average of 25 feet high. Style of the structures is possibly early 17th Century and the unique wooden buildings were originally used as workshops and storage for nets, sails and ropes.

In 1934 the Borough Council restricted the area allowed for each net hut to eight square feet because of the limited space between the cliffs and the sea. To overcome this problem the fishermen built their equipment stores upwards to maximise the allowed space and constructed three stories, one above the other.

About 45 of these unique structures can still be seen today and they are considered one of Hastings most famous and internationally known landmarks. Many more were originally built but have been destroyed by strong seas during the past 150 years. The council also demolished some during the 1950's to clear the beach area for development.

With the advent of nylon nets there was less need for workshops and the buildings main use became storage. The remaining net huts are still used for this purpose today and are regularly maintained to withstand the elements.

Eu tava pensando em fazer a décima unha com o degradê na mesma unha, mas como nas unhas violetas eu já fiz o degradê, resolvi fazer essas diferente.

Os esmaltes são quase os mesmo das unhas violetas, mas é pq eu consegui fazer o gradiente certinho com esses tons. :)

Premiere of THE PISTOL SHRIMPS, a new feature length documentary that celebrates basketball and some of the funniest women in comedy. The film stars Aubrey Plaza, Molly Hawkey, Angela Trimbur, Melissa Stetten, Maria Blasucci, and Jesse Thomas.

The documentary reunites the team behind the 2014 hit A BRONY TALE, director Brent Hodge (“I Am Chris Farley”) and executive producer Morgan Spurlock (“Inside Man,” “Super Size Me”), and follows the 2015 winter season of the popular all female basketball team The Pistol Shrimps – made up of actors, comedians and models in LA.
