Rolls-Royce 20/25
La 20/25 è stata un’autovettura costruita dalla Rolls-Royce dal 1929 al 1936. Sostituì la Twenty. In origine era stata studiata per essere condotta dai proprietari, ma molti esemplari furono in seguito guidati da chauffeur. Il motore era simile al sei cilindri montato dalla Twenty. La cilindrata, rispetto a quest’ultimo modello, fu aumentata a 3699 cc. L’alesaggio fu incrementato a 82 mm dai 76 mm del modello citato, mentre la corsa non fu modificata e rimase a 114 mm. Il propulsore era provvisto di un solo carburatore, e l’accensione era sia a bobina che con magnete. Il cambio era a quattro velocità con la leva a destra del guidatore; dal 1932 fu montato un cambio sincronizzato per la terza e la quarta marcia.
Le sospensioni erano a balestra semiellittica su entrambi gli assi con freni sulle quattro ruote assistito da servofreno meccanico. Il freno a mano, con un impianto separato, agiva invece solamente sulle ruote posteriori. Il modello montava il famoso radiatore con sommità triangolare e listelli verticali. Nei primi esemplari le feritoie del radiatore erano azionate manualmente tramite una leva posta sul cruscotto. Questo serviva a far variare la portata d’aria sul radiatore. Gli esemplari successivi avevano un dispositivo automatico consistente in un termostato. Grazie al propulsore più grande rispetto a quello montato sulla Twenty, l’autovettura raggiungeva la velocità di 121 km/h. Molti proprietari appesantirono la carrozzeria per renderla più lussuosa, con conseguente perdita di prestazioni.
The Rolls-Royce 20/25 built between 1929 and 1936 succeeded the 20 hp as Rolls-Royce's "small car". It was intended to appeal to owner drivers, but many were sold to customers with chauffeurs.
The in-line 6-cylinder overhead-valve engine was similar to that used in the 20 hp but was enlarged to 3699 cc by increasing the bore from 76 mm to 82 mm, with the stroke remaining at 114 mm. A single Rolls-Royce carburettor was used, and both coil and magneto ignition were fitted. The four-speed gearbox was mounted in unit with the engine and a traditional right-hand change used. Synchromesh was fitted to third and top gears from 1932. The substantial chassis had rigid front and rear axles suspended by half-elliptic springs with braking on all four wheels assisted by a mechanical servo. Separate rear brakes were fitted for the handbrake. The famous Rolls-Royce radiator with triangular top was used with vertical louvres, the angle of which could be adjusted to control engine cooling. To begin with, the radiator shutters were operated manually via a lever on the dash; later cars were fitted with automatic control via a thermostat.
The larger engine allowed the top speed to increase to 75 mph (121 km/h) but many owners had large limousine bodies fitted to the chassis, with the predictable degradation of performance.
Only the chassis and mechanical parts were made by Rolls-Royce. The body was made and fitted by a coachbuilder selected by the owner. Amongst the most famous coachbuilders who produced bodies for Rolls Royce cars are Park Ward, Thrupp & Maberly, Mulliner and Hooper.
The Rolls Royce 20/25 hp is featured in films such as; The League of Gentlemen (1959), Father Came Too! (1963), The Brides of Fu Manchu (1966), To Be or Not To Be (1983), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Remains of the Day (1993), Simon Sez (1999), Enigma (2001), etc.

Le iniziative di “Amando Cattolica” sono state definite realizzazioni con finalità prettamente divulgativa a carattere culturale e di promozione turistica con il linguaggio universale delle immagini percorre un viaggio ideale rappresentando luoghi, persone, paesaggi, emozioni; che con il cuore racconta la nostra identità più profonda. Il progetto è riconosciuto come iniziativa che costituisce interesse, sotto l’aspetto dell’accoglienza e della promozione turistica a livello Nazionale e Internazionale per il contenuto, per il messaggio, per il sentimento che tramite le immagini desidera trasmettere riguardo il nostro territorio Italia anche all’estero.

Tra la moltitudine di città interessate da questo nuovo percorso fotografico,emerge un prezioso itinerario che collega le diverse città in cui Guglielmo Marconi ha vissuto la sua vita.
Un nuovo viaggio fotografico, tra cui immagini che rendono omaggio al grande inventore italiano Guglielmo Marconi, padre della radio e Premio Nobel per la fisica nel 1909. Bolognese di nascita, Marconi passò molto del suo tempo nella sua casa di Cattolica. Chissà cosa penserebbe oggi, affacciato alla finestra di Villa Marconi, delle persone in spiaggia collegate a internet con computer e cellulari wireless, persone in contatto con il mondo ventiquattro ore al giorno. Su quella stessa spiaggia dove lui ha passeggiato e guardato il mare immerso nei suoi pensieri e nei suoi esperimenti. Forse tutta questa comunicazione l’avrebbe fatto sorridere, lui che fu il padre della comunicazione con telegrafia senza fili. Di una cosa però siamo sicuri, sicuramente affacciato alla finestra della sua camera, avrebbe rivolto lo sguardo all’Adriatico e avrebbe atteso uno di quei meravigliosi tramonti di Cattolica, in cui il sole diventa una palla di fuoco che scompare lentamente all’orizzonte. Uno spettacolo di colori che soltanto Lei può regalare. Attimi, si prefigge l’obiettivo di raccontare attraverso un percorso di immagini e racconti, il legame che la città romagnola conserva con il suo illustre personaggio. testo di Alessandra Fabri

Con questo nuovo libro fotografico prosegue il progetto “Amando Cattolica” e con la VI Edizione, dal titolo “Attimi, EMOZIONI NEL TEMPO INFINITO…sulle tracce di Guglielmo Marconi”, Antonio Barbieri è , ancora una volta, riuscito a catturare, nelle sue fotografie, l’anima più intima di Cattolica e dei paesaggi vicini.
L’attaccamento alla propria terra, la passione e la sensibilità artistica sono evidenziate in queste immagini che mostrano con chiarezza la trasformazione nel tempo di questo territorio, facendone riaffiorare con emozioni intese l’essenza più vera.
L’obiettivo dell’artista si allarga su scorci suggestivi di altre città italiane, cogliendone particolari che ben delineano la ricchezza artistica, culturale architettonica della nostra Italia.
Il mio particolare apprezzamento va ancora una volta rivolto a questo lavoro, alla dedizione particolare e scrupolosa con cui Antonio Barbieri ha saputo mostrate la genuinità e la semplicità di un territorio in continua evoluzione ma sempre attento a rinnovare la propria cultura dell’accoglienza.

Sound Storm was founded in 2002 in Turin, a city in the north west of Italy.The band started composing their own material, with the first three or four tracks finished by the end of 2003.
After two self-released titles ("The Storm is coming..." - Demo, 2005 - and "Northern Wilderness" - EP, 2007 -), in 2008 the band releases the debut album “Twilight Opera” which has got an incredible high quality production, strings section, a 9-pieces choir.
The album has been mastered at Finnvox Studios by Mika Jussila and released worldwide by Rising Records.
On August 30th Sound Storm celebrates the release of the album with a live show at "Ilha Do Ermal" festival, the biggest metal fest in Portugal, with bands such as Blind Guardian, Angra, Sepultura, Korpiklaani, Firewind and many more.
In summer 2010 Sound Storm toured Mexico for the first time: the band played 11 gigs across the country getting and incredible success and many hundreds people were attending each show.
In 2012 Sound Storm have signed a worldwide deal with Scarlet Records for the release of their new album 'Immortalia'.
Over the years the band has developed a very personal blend of Heavy Metal mixed with a theatrical sense of drama, which was internationally recognised with the release of their critically acclaimed debut 'Twilight Opera'.
This new chapter marks another important milestone for the band, mixing their wide range of influences in a piece of work perfectly balanced between powerful guitars, magnificent symphonic choirs, gothic atmospheres and baroque melodies, which is definitely worth listening to.
Recorded, mixed and mastered at Metal House Studio by Ettore Rigotti (Disarmonia Mundi), 'Immortalia' is a stunning concept album on the quest for eternal life, an amazing journey through literature, poetry and history, a collection of songs linked together by the common theme of the immortality of the soul. The evocative artwork was handled by Felipe Machado Franco (Blind Guardian, Rhapsody Of Fire). 'Immortalia' has been released August 28th, 2012.
Shortly after the band supported Norwegian Gothic Metal veterans Tristania on their European tour. At the end of 2012 Sound Storm also toured Italy with Epica and Haggard (in both case as main support).
The "Immortalia tour" goes on also in 2013, first in some headlining shows across Italy, then in some international festivals (Rommelrock in Belgium w/ Therion, Haggard, etc., Into the Limelight Fest in Holland w/ At Vance) and at the end of the year on tour over Europe again.
The "Rock Opera Unveiled" tour will take place in December featuring Therion, Arkona, Sound Storm and The Devil and it will hit the best stages all over Europe, including the "Eindhoven Metal Meeting" festival.

Anything you could imagine is at the SEMA show, from Hot Rods to the latest in modern performance, there was no shortage of things to see. The Detroit Speed booth was packed day in and day out.
The Detroit Speed crew had Moe's 1969 Charger at the HRIA booth and also had Moe’s 1970 Chevelle on hand at SEMA central and immediately received lots of attention. The team from BCIITV were on hand Tuesday with the Chevelle shooting footage for Competition Ready, the new TV show from Velocity that will air early in 2016. The team followed the Chevelle around all week capturing footage of the run to the Top Ten of the Battle of the Builders, being named a finalist for the Mother's shine award as well as capturing a GM Best G-Machine award. Unfortunately the Chevelle didn't make the top 3 but we were all still very proud of the accomplishments and recognition it garnered throughout the week. Detroit Speed also had the CDV (Cool Delivery Vehicle) that was located at the Mother's Polish booth, came in handy, and received a nice plaque from General Motors. Congratulations to Bobby Alloway for winning the competition. Now Moe's Chevelle wasn't the only Detroit Speed built car making some waves, Moe's 1969 Charger was invited to participate in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational following the SEMA show at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Along with the Charger and the Chevelle, Detroit Speed were well respresented with Detroit Speed "Equipped" cars on the show floor and at OUSCI. We would also like to take a moment to congratulate Tim and Cici Spencer. Tim's Detroit Speed "Equipped" 1969 Mustang won the Mother's Shine award. Tim's Mustang spent some time at DSE early in its life.
With the inclusion of the Charger, Detroit Speed now had three cars in the competition to be named the Ultimate Street Car for 2015. Kyle Tucker drove his trusty Detroit Speed 1970 Camaro while Ryan Mathews drove the Detroit Speed 2012 White Monster Camaro. Test Car foreman, Matt Butts, who was out to oversee the 1970 and 2012 ended up becoming the driver of the Charger and performed rather well driving the newly completed monster of a Charger. Before the competition started Kyle was awarded with his GTV class championship trophy and his overall class champion trophy. The competition was stiff as classes were wiped out for this competition and everyone competed in one big field. Danny Popp came away with the victory for the 2nd time in a row.
Ryan will now turn his focus to the Goodguys Scottsdale Autocross Finals taking place November 20th - 22nd. Kyle already captured the 2015 Goodguys Pro Class points championship and sets his sights on the autocross finals. Unfortunately with the Baja 1000 calling his name, Kyle will not be able to compete in the Scottsdale finals.

El Templo Expiatorio de la Sagrada Familia (en catalán Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família), conocido simplemente como la Sagrada Familia (Sagrada Família), es una gran basílica católica de Barcelona (España), diseñada por el arquitecto catalán Antoni Gaudí. Iniciada en 1882, todavía está en construcción (febrero de 2011). Es la obra maestra de Gaudí, y el máximo exponente de la arquitectura modernista catalana.
La construcción comenzó en estilo neogótico, pero, al asumir el proyecto Gaudí en 1883, fue completamente replanteado. Según su proceder habitual, a partir de bocetos generales del edificio improvisó la construcción a medida que avanzaba. Se hizo cargo con sólo 31 años, dedicándole el resto de su vida, los últimos quince en exclusiva.
Una de sus ideas más innovadoras fue el diseño de las elevadas torres cónicas circulares que sobresalen apuntadas sobre los portales, estrechándose con la altura. Las proyectó con una torsión parabólica dando una tendencia ascendente a toda la fachada, favorecida por multitud de ventanas que perforan la torre siguiendo formas espirales.
El templo, cuando esté terminado, dispondrá de 18 torres: cuatro en cada una de las tres entradas-portales y, a modo de cúpulas, se dispondrá un sistema de seis torres, con la torre cimborio central, dedicada a Jesús, de 170 metros de altura, otras cuatro alrededor de ésta, dedicadas a los evangelistas, y un segundo cimborio dedicado a la Virgen. El interior estará formado por innovadoras columnas arborescentes inclinadas y bóvedas basadas en hiperboloides y paraboloides buscando la forma óptima de la catenaria.
En 1926 murió Gaudí; sólo se había construido una torre. Del proyecto del edificio sólo se conservaban planos y un modelo en yeso que resultó muy dañado durante la Guerra Civil española.
Desde entonces han proseguido las obras: actualmente están terminados los portales del Nacimiento y de la Pasión, y se ha iniciado el de la Gloria, y están en ejecución las bóvedas interiores. La obra que realizó Gaudí, es decir, la fachada del Nacimiento y la cripta, ha sido incluida por la Unesco en el año 2005 en el Sitio del Patrimonio mundial «Obras de Antoni Gaudí». Es además, desde 2007, uno de los 12 Tesoros de España.
El Templo fue consagrado y declarado Basílica menor el 7 de noviembre de 2010 por el papa Benedicto XVI.

Madison Democrat Fred Risser at Reclaim Wisconsin rally yesterday at the Capitol. He has never lost an election. First elected to the Wisconsin Assembly in 1956, he is the longest-serving state legislator not only in Wisconsin history, but in U.S. history as well.
A year ago, at the age of 83, he gave up the comforts of home for life on the road when he became the senior member of the Wisconsin 14, the the group of Democratic senators who left the state in order to deny Senate Republicans the quorum they needed to pass Scott Walker's union-busting budget bill.
The bill eventually passed, but the Wisconsin 14's courageous holding action provided valuable time for a mass movement to organize. That led directly to last summer's recall of two Republican state senators. And that, in a nutshell, is why the atrocious strip mining bill -- written to the exact specifications of an out-of-state mining company -- was defeated last week. Thank you, Senator Risser!

About the Batman Exhibit, DC Comics’ iconic Super Hero
Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour worked closely with DC Entertainment to create “The Batman Exhibit” and it will be a featured addition on the studio’s historic backlot for a limited time. Visitors will be able to get up close and personal with the original suits worn by Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Christian Bale in their respective portrayals of Batman, making it the first time that artifacts from all seven films have ever been exhibited together. In addition, the exhibit will feature costumes worn by prominent supporting characters and villains, including Robin, The Joker, Two-Face, Catwoman, the Penguin, the Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Batgirl and Alfred. Also on display will be a wide range of props, including Batarangs, Joker cards, Two-Face coins, one of the Penguin’s umbrellas and Bane’s bomb. In conjunction with the Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour, DC Entertainment has also created a historic display of iconic Batman comic book covers that provides a one-of-a-kind, colorful photo backdrop for visitor photos, readymade for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. In the studio’s Picture Car Vault, several of the Caped Crusader’s most famous vehicles, including the Batpod, Tumbler and Batmobile, will be exhibited as they were in his lair. Visitors will have the opportunity to activate the Bat-Signal and pose at a Batman-themed interactive green screen photo opportunity.

Historia de la catedral de Guatemala
Como la misma ciudad de Guatemala, fundada el 27 de julio de 1524, también la Iglesia Catedral conoció varios traslados y reconstrucciones.
Para 1527 se ubicaba en el valle de Almolonga, donde hoy está San Miguel Escobar, donde se edificó un templo dedicado al señor Santiago, a quien tomaron como “patrón y abogado”. Ya para 1536-37, la modesta iglesia mayor de Santiago se convierte en Catedral por la designación del primer obispo de Guatemala. Ya para 1539, el propio obispo Marroquín escribe: “procuré hacer un templo el mejor que yo pudiese… está edificada la casa, retablo, coro, rejas, campanas, ornamentos, cruces de plata y cálices, lámpara...”. Esta Catedral duró poco en Almolonga, pues un deslave destruyó la ciudad la noche del 10 al 11 de septiembre de 1541. La Catedral sufrió pocos daños, pero inmediatamente se decidió el traslado de la ciudad al valle de Panchoy.
El diseño de la segunda Catedral estuvo a cargo del cantero Rodrigo Martínez Garnica, quien es contratado para construirla en 1542. Desarrollando un diseño que sigue el modelo catedralicio español, tenía nave central, dos laterales, dos de capillas, y coro situado en el tercero y cuarto tramos de la nave central para formar un eje con el altar mayor.
En 1543 se realiza el traslado a esta nueva Iglesia, el día de la celebración de Corpus Christi, pues previamente funcionaba en lo que hoy es la Ermita de Santa Lucía. Pronto se señalan reformas al proyecto original. El obispo Marroquín se preocupa y trabaja en la construcción pero muere en 1563 sin ver concluida la obra. Aunque los trabajos son lentos, se continúan las mejoras y la construcción de sus capillas. En octubre de 1620 se termina la capilla de la Virgen del Socorro; la del Sagrario, iniciada en 1638, se inaugura el 9 de septiembre de 1659. Poco a poco van surgiendo las demás.
En 1617 se acuerda que el gran escultor Quirio Cataño concluya el altar mayor de madera iniciado por Pedro Brizuela. En 1659 se construye una nueva capilla y bóveda para el altar del Cristo de los Reyes, lo cual va mostrando la necesidad de hacer cambios más profundos al templo que, hasta ese momento, tenía un techo de madera y tejas. Llego, entonces, el momento de decidir la demolición de este templo y construir otro, mejor diseñado y realizado. Esta decisión fue tomada en 1667 por el Ilmo. Dn. Juan de Santo Mathía Sáenz de Mañosca y Murillo, iniciándose la demolición en 1679 y prolongándose hasta 1671.
La tercera catedral en el valle de Panchoy
La tercera Catedral ocupa un lugar importantísimo en la historia de la Iglesia de Guatemala por varias razones, especialmente porque fue construida en el momento en que las artes llegaron a su máxima expresión en la época colonial y también porque algunos de sus restos se conservan aún en la hermosa ciudad de Antigua Guatemala. Se inició su construcción el 30 de noviembre de 1671, cuando se colocó la primera piedra sin estar totalmente demolida la anterior. Al principio, se nombró maestro mayor de la obra al español Martín de Andujar y como maestro menor a Joseph de Porres. Ambos contribuyeron a la realización del conjunto.
La construcción avanzó con rapidez, incluso tras la muerte del obispo Sáenz de Mañosca en 1675. El obispo Juan de Ortega Montañés continúa la obra, hasta su dedicación y el traslado del Santísimo desde la iglesia de San Pedro, el 5 y 6 de noviembre de 1680. Juarros describe la ceremonia y la califica como: “la más solemne, suntuosa y completa que se ha visto en Guatemala”. De 1681 a 1684 se terminan todavía algunos trabajos menores. Ya para 1689 esta completamente terminada.
This month i bought another twinlensreflex camera because i need two one for 6x6 and one for 645 format or color/bw. Camera needs repair but i found exposed roll in it. It was ORWO NP22 what is black and white negative film, very old with 125iso. I developed it in Fomadon R09 for one hour in 1+100 and see four images, rest of film was exposed by opening door.

There is outraged public reaction to the Google buses carrying technology workers from the city to the peninsula high-tech companies which employ them. We have outrage over the rising real-estate prices which these "techno geeks" can pay.
We have, for example, libelous and cruel attacks in the Chronicle on our number-one celebrity, the author Danielle Steel, alleging that she is a "snob" despite the millions she has spent on our city's homeless and mentally ill over the past decades.
