Wow, it was a crazy trip to the Alps. 1200km within 27 Hours without sleep.
Our first destination for the sunrise was actually the Geroldsee in Bavaria. The castle Neuschwanstein was on our way, so we wanted to take a look on it. Well, we didn't see much because the castle will not being illuminated in the night. But we saw some low fog patches in that area and decided to wait here for the sunrise - and that decision has more than paid off. Great point of view, autumn foliage, fog and alpenglow in the background - it could hardly be better.

Wow, das war eine verrückte Tour entlang der Alpen. 1200km in 27 Stunden ohne Schlaf.
Das erste Ziel für den Sonnenaufgang war eigentlich der Geroldsee in Bayern geplant. Da das Schloss Neuschwanstein auf dem Weg lag, konnten wir nicht anders und mussten ihn uns anschauen. Nun viel vom Schloss haben wir nicht gesehen, weil es Nachts nicht beleuchtet wird. Was wir aber ausmachen konnten waren flache Nebelfelder am Fuße des Schlosses. Da haben wir entschieden hier auf den Sonnenaufgang zu warten. Und das hat sich mehr als gelohnt. Toller Standort, Herbstlaub, Nebel und das Alpenglühen im Hintergrund - besser könnte es kaum werden.

Villamorón es un pueblo de la provincia de Burgos que cuenta con una población de dos habitantes. En 2010 apareció en la prensa como uno de los diecinueve pueblos de la provincia de Burgos en los que sólo residía un habitante.
La iglesia de Santiago Apóstol de Villamorón fue declarada Bien de Interés Cultural en 1994.
El edificio presenta un aparente mezcla de estilos que no es tal, sino que se trata de un gótico inicial en el que aún se están probando y mejorando soluciones.
La pureza de su estilo fue alabada por el arquitecto Vicente Lampérez y está considerada como uno de los mejores ejemplos del primer gótico en la provincia de Burgos (junto con las iglesias parroquiales de Grijalba y Sasamón).
Actualmente la iglesia se encuentra sin culto y ha sido rehabilitada recientemente, aunque en su interior permanecen los andamios de obra.

Uno de los sitios más conocidos y fotogénicos de la costa de Girona, y por desgracia uno de los más degradados por construcciones de grandes mansiones y degradado por restos de basura dejada en el suelo por algunos visitantes.
Para la fotografía se utilizo un filtro densidad neutra de 10 pasos y un filtro degradado inverso de 3 pasos movido durante la exposición.
One of the most famous and photogenic sites off the coast of Girona, and unfortunately one of the most degraded by buildings and large mansions degraded by remnants of trash left on the floor by some visitors.
To photograph a neutral density filter 10 steps and a reverse gradient filter 3 steps I moved during exposure was used.

I spent the weekend with my Uncle out shooting on saturday at his cottage up in the Kawartha's in Ontario.
Between the two of us we probably took over 1200 photos of everything from long exposure night shots to flowers, wildlife and sun rises and sunsets...
I am not generally one ot post images of flowers but here is my contribution to Macro Mondays and a little tip o' the hat to mother nature for bringing spring to us a little early this year
