I just spent about 10 minutes letting Azizi come out to me via his cork tunnel in low key. This recent hot weather has made him very active and very hungry and even more curious than he already is.
This incredible super mummy and Sumatran Tiger is called Kirana. I'm sure those photographers who were regulars at Chester Zoo will know her fondly because she is a natural at posing. I rest my case!!
Kirana is now enjoying retirement at the Big Cat Sanctuary, Kent. She clearly enjoys attention though, even on a hot afternoon and from what I observed yesterday, has settled in really well.
Photographed at a local lake, best viewed large.
Thank you all so much for your faves and comments. Have a fantastic day!
Summer memories 😊 - Water volcano in the Park Of Nations (Parque das Nações), Lisbon:
Park of the Nations is an area that was created for the 1998 World Expo in Lisbon. It's a modern, vibrant area, with many open spaces.

A lot of spectators gathered for the fireworks in Yokohama for the first time in three years. It was a short firework of only 25 minutes, but it was a gorgeous firework. I shoot from the back of the audience.
Enchanted with the colours and sounds of the leaves that he steps

We are having muggy days with hellish temperatures here in Italy during this last week of July 2020.

We are in the peak of the extreme heat wave.
Just grasses and sky...

Walking near the water on a hot day, I couldn't resist getting into it.
Thanks to Akeruka, Maitreya, Endless Pain Tattoo, Pumec, Blueberry, Doux and West End Poses I was able to feel sexy and beat the heat in the water.

A view across one of the ponds within Wanstead Park in north east London. In the background a cafeteria where people usually stop to buy something to refresh themselves. Life in London.
Una vista su uno dei laghetti all'interno di Wanstead Park, nella zona nord est di Londra. Sullo sfondo una caffetteria dove le persone solitamente si fermano per comprare qualcosa per rifocillarsi. Vita a Londra.
I was told that the standard procedure for taking bird photos was to set the speed to 1/10 of a second, take 10 shots and pick the best. With unsteady hands I set the speed to 1/200 and picked this. Not great but still the best of the lot and my second bird photo on Flickr, after an Ibis in Sydney, Australia. Thanks Ron Masters. Now how do I improve on this one, Ron?
He - You are not talking to me, love.
She - Can't you see I am drinking water? It's a hot day, love. Get yourself hydrated.
