Nu de horeca weer open is en de 1,5 meter samenleving opgedoekt, is de Dinnertrain weer gaan rijden. De trein rijdt nu voor het tweede weekend met de ex- NS en ex-BE 1835 die inmiddels omgenummerd is in TCS 102001 en in de bijbehorende kleurstelling van Train charger is gestoken. Deze trein passeert hier bij een rondje van en naar Den Haag HS tussen Woerden en Breukelen richting Breukelen, Schiphol en Den Haag HS.

I know it can come through as ridiculous but — perhaps because I don’t have grandkids myself— but I am always thrilled by the angelic young faces working in health care, magazines and horeca (Dutch for hotel/restaurant/cafe business).

De Viersprong gelegen in de Dordtse "Polder De Biesbosch" is een kruising van twee polderwegen, in de late middeleeuwen was de omgeving genaamd "Den Princenheuvel" maar nu is het bekend vanwege een nabij gelegen Horeca Paviljoen "De Viersprong". In vroeger tijd, niet eens zo lang geleden, bevond zich hier een natuurbad. Een zwemgelegenheid in "open" water. Niet zelden zat je met je tenen in een mossel die gewelddadig toehapte en zijn schelp om je tenen sloot.
Het open water bad, laat ik het zo maar noemen, was bekend als een zondige aangelegenheid. In een tijd waarin mannen en vrouwen, in een zwembad, alleen gescheiden mochten baden, was hier gezamenlijk zwemmen toegestaan. Foei!
Inmiddels is de eigenaar van het natuurgebied Staatsbosbeheer. Is het natuurzwemmen daar afgelopen en is het gebied verworven als beschermd natuurgebied.
The Viersprong ( The quadrilateral) in the Dutch "Polder De Biesbosch" is an intersection of two polder roads, in the late Middle Ages the area was called "Den Princenheuvel" (The hill of the prince) but now it is known for a nearby Café "De Viersprong". In the past, not so long ago, there was a natural pool here. A swimming facility in "open" water. Not infrequently you sat with your toes in a mussel that took a violent bite and closed its shell around your toes.
The open water bath, let me call it that, was known as a sinful affair. At a time when men and women , in a swimmingpool, were only allowed to bathe separately, swimming together was allowed here. Fie!
The owner of the nature reserve is now state forestry. Has natural swimming ended there and has the area been acquired as a protected nature reserve.

Ik was afgelopen vrijdag toevallig in de buurt van Amare en zag dat het inmiddels geopend was. Er zaten al wat mensen op het terras.
Ik ben naar binnen gegaan en kon zo het hele gebouw doorlopen. Hier en daar zaten wat conservatoriumstudenten in een hoekje, er liepen wat mensen rond.
Op de derde verdieping is een openbaar bedrijfsrestaurant voor personeel en studenten. Je kunt er als bezoeker ook wat eten of drinken.
op de eerste verdieping aan het Spuiplein een grote ruimte met buitenterras met horeca als bedoeling. Daar was nog niemand maar dat zal ongetwijfeld anders zijn over een paar weken.
Gaat dat zien.

Les restaurateurs ont enfin une perspective de réouverture !!!
Dans une interview accordée à la presse quotidienne régionale le 29 avril, le Président de la République Emmanuel Macron a détaillé son « timide » plan de déconfinement … il en est de même dans toutes les villes européenne, à part quelques rares exceptions !
A compter du mercredi 19 mai, les terrasses des restaurants pourront à nouveau accueillir les clients, avec des tables limitées pour les groupes de six personnes au maximum … à suivre !
Quant à la belgique ce samedi 9 mai , la météo s’étant tout à fait « gourée » et les restaurateurs ayant su disposer une terrasse devant leur établissement attendent impatiemment … les consommateurs !!!
Ils viennent également d'apprendre hier que les cloisons en plexi sont interdites alors qu'elles avaient été autorisées en début de semaine !
Pas évident de faire ou refaire des "affaires" par les temps qui courent ... oups !
Bon appétit les artistes et restez cependant « vigilants » 😗

Parking Quartier Bleu, Hasselt. There's something about those directional signs that was bizarre enough for me to make a picture of them.

De Koe staat aan de Dijk (Haven) in het oude centrum van Volendam.
De Volendamse Dijk, die bestaat uit Zuideinde, Haven en Noordeinde, moet het dorp beschermen tegen het Markermeerwater, maar is ook een belangrijke trekpleister met veel horeca en souvenirwinkels.

Het Vis en Patathuisje op het Deltaplein heeft betere tijden gekend.
Maanden geleden heeft hier een brand gewoed en daarna is het nooit meer iets geworden. Of heropening er in zit denk ik niet want Kijkduin staat aan de vooravond van een extreme metamorfose.
Bekijk het hele plan maar vooral niet schrikken. Je herkent niets meer terug.
Het plan was dat de eerste schop eind 2016 de grond in zou gaan maar dat zie ik niet meer gebeuren. Zal wel begin 2017 worden.
Eerder dan verwacht moest café De Omval aan de Weesperzijde in Amsterdam dicht. Niet vanwege corona maar door projectontwikkeling in dit taartpuntje tussen de Weespertrekvaart en de spoorlijn bij het Amstelstation. Behalve voor de vaste klanten was het café ook een vertrouwd punt voor treinreizigers van Utrecht naar Amsterdam. 'De Omval' was genoemd naar het industriegebiedje aan de andere kant van de spoorlijn bij de Amstel, waar o.a. de fabriek van Blooker stond

Gisteren in een horeca-gelegenheid in het centrum van Utrecht een kop koffie gedronken.
De inrichting was heel bijzonder. Aan het plafond hing een overdaad aan nostalgische lampen, luchters en vogelkooien.
Een grote zwarte tevreden poes lag op een pluchen stoel, die tegen een verwarmingsradiator stond, te slapen.
Het zag er allemaal heel bijzonder uit, maar de koffie was niet te zuipen.
Café Americano, zei het meisje toen ze een kopje met een laagje koffieextract voor me zette vergezeld een klein onhandig kannetje heet water zodat ik de "koffie" zelf op de gewenste sterkte kon brengen.
Deed me denken aan mijn oude Haagse, van origine Duitse, hospita, die de hele dag een stinkend kannetje koffie op een zuinig pitje had staan en op diezelfde manier de ondrinkbaar geworden koffie aanlengde met sloten gekookte melk en als je geluk had zonder vel erbij.
A very nice horeca location at the basement, a nice alternative to avoid the crowdy restaurant at floor level.
