When you have that one person in your life that you count on just to get through the day ... then you find out it was all a lie

Never fear, things with Mihailsk are just wonderful. I'm just taking out some mental trash. The person I'm referring to knows EXACTLY who they are. My hope is that I never need this reminder to myself again.

Chloé and the dust bunnies

gathering in her silken locks

all you need to make a home

is a cushion and a Fairtrade box

sparkling diamonds on the grass

Chloé is little Harry's sister

they are seldom seen apart

they still curl up like little kittens

cherished in each other's heart

Every day they make me smile

with their pure and innocent nature's

their birth defects no longer visible

they grew into these perfect creatures

I wonder if they ever knew

how cruel a fate the vet foresaw

I shelter them with love and kindness

from a world that abandoned them; I love them more

than words can every say and so

I show them in so many ways

and in return they give to me

unconditional love for all my days

No matter what the day will bring

to spin me on the roundabout

Chloé, her brother and all my cats

This grows as a wild flower in my garden. It's seed pods when dried are much used by flower arrangers. An example of it's flat round seed pods may be seen just to the right of the flower above. They become silvery white, translucent and papery with time.

I love Honesty seed pods for their transparency and delicacy. The common name "honesty" arose in the 16th century, and may also relate to the translucence of the seedpods. In South East Asia, it is called the "money plant" and in the United States it is commonly known as "silver dollars", "Chinese money", or "Chinese coins" because its seedpods have the appearance of silvery coins. For the same reason, in French it is known as monnaie du pape ("the Pope's money"). In Denmark it is known as judaspenge and in Dutch-speaking countries as judaspenning (coins of Judas), an allusion to the story of Judas Iscariot and the thirty pieces of silver he was paid for betraying Christ.

I was about to take some reflection shots of Cockenzie Harbour (East Coast of Scotland) when Joe, local fisherman came to me and said: 'You should have come at 5.30am, it was a beautiful sunrise this morning!'

We started to chat and turned out he has five other jobs next to being a fisherman, because 'You just never know what tomorrow brings.'

When I asked him how was it out there this morning, he said 'Always changing... that's why we're called fisherman you know, not collectors... but all in all, it was enough for today's rent...'
