Champion: The one who supports a cause.

In HIMSS' vision a champion is "a superhero – someone with, perhaps superhuman powers, dedicated to fighting the evils of the universe and protecting the public, but in the Healthcare universe, a champion of health is a very human, who yet fights evils and villains in the form of disease and illness, inefficiencies, high costs, bureaucracy, one-size-fits-all mentality"

The HIMSS19 Champions for Health consisted a lineup of global visionaries -- all who support a single cause that is the betterment of Healthcare.

The HIMSS19 chapter showcased some of the brilliant minds working behind the scenes for the betterment of Healthcare and brought them on the front stage, these Champions of Health are awarded modern Health Practitioners who are leveraging the use of technologies to create drastic improvements in the Healthcare infrastructure.
