Train passing through the snow dusted, Fraser Canyon.
A little more than meets the eye.....if you zoom, you may notice the tombstones laying in a turn of the century graveyard ( possibly dating back to the 1800's )
The Fraser Canyon is a major landform of the Fraser River where it descends rapidly through narrow rock gorges in the Coast Mountains en route from the Interior Plateau of British Columbia to the Fraser Valley. Colloquially, the term "Fraser Canyon" is often used to include the Thompson Canyon from Lytton to Ashcroft, since they form the same highway route.
The canyon was formed during the Miocene period (23.7–5.3 million years ago) by the river cutting into the uplifting Interior Plateau. From the northern Cariboo to Fountain, the river follows the line of the huge Fraser Fault, which runs on a north–south axis and meets the Yalakom Fault a few miles downstream from Lillooet. Exposures of lava flows are present in cliffs along the Fraser Canyon. They represent volcanic activity in the southern Chilcotin Group during the Pliocene period and the volcanic vents of their origins have not been discovered.

Snowbirds- 11-Ct-114 Tudors starting up the engines

The Snowbirds, officially known as 431 Air Demonstration Squadron are the military aerobatics or air show flight demonstration team of the Royal Canadian Air Force. The team is based at 15 Wing Moose Jaw near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The Snowbirds' official purpose is to "demonstrate the skill, professionalism, and teamwork of Canadian Forces personnel". The Snowbirds are the first Canadian air demonstration team to be designated as a squadron.
The show team flies 11 CT-114 Tutors—nine for aerobatic performances, including two solo aircraft, and two as spares, flown by the team coordinators. Approximately 80 Canadian Forces personnel work with the squadron full-time; 24 personnel are in the show team that travels during the show season. The Snowbirds are the only major military aerobatics team that operates without a support aircraft.
The Snowbirds continue the flying demonstration tradition of previous Canadian air force aerobatic teams, which include the Siskins, the Blue Devils, the Golden Hawks, and the Golden Centennaires.
Number 431 Squadron formed on 11 November 1942, at RAF Burn (in North Yorkshire), flying Wellington B.X medium bombers with No. 4 Group RAF Bomber Command. The squadron moved to RAF Tholthorpe in mid-1943 as part of the move to bring all RCAF squadrons into one operational group – No. 6 Group RCAF – and converted to Halifax B.V four-engined heavy bombers. In December 1943 the squadron moved to RAF Croft where it was re-equipped with Halifax IIIs and later, Lancaster B.X aircraft. The squadron moved to RCAF Station Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, after the war, disbanding there on 5 September 1945.

4-8-2016 - Emirates, Airbus A380-861.
This was taken the day after the 777 accident in Dubai. As a result of the crash, "Uniform Alpha" night stopped with us at Gatwick, which gave me an opportunity to obtain some different shots of the whale before she was loaded up and readied for her departure.
I took this from jetty number 1 which is used on the upper deck for 1st and business class passengers - taken with my go pro and given a touch of editing using snapseed and photoshop.

Well this is a re-work of old data. though I was more than happy with my previous version I thought the data was clean enough to try and get the image detail to pop a lot more.
What I did was run a:-
1. "High Pass" filter (at 6 pixels for fine detail)
2. Set blending mode to "overlay"
3. used a mask to highlight the bright denser parts i.e. the bubble.
Note:-
1. I add the Ha stars back in near the end of the process, given me smaller stars and no colour Halo's....
2. This is not true Hubble as it only made up of Ha & Oiii data
Information:
The "bubble" is created by the stellar wind from a massive hot 8.7 magnitude young central star. The nebula is near a giant molecular cloud which contains the expansion of the bubble nebula while itself being excited by the hot central star.

If you are hiking through all the neighborhoods surrounding Insadong on foot, you might just stumble upon this beauty in a back alley way. Only several blocks from Jongmyo Shrine.
This a photo of my mate Stefans' girlfriend, Christina. We were at a party and I had my camera with me as I do (did). When I took the photo and looked in the preview I realised that the flash was on +2 but the high definition looked pretty cool. So after working on it in PS a bit I ended up with this. There's not a lot more I can do till I get a camera :-((
