The flower in the image is Hibiscus splendens (commonly known as the Splendid Hibiscus or an Australian native pink hibiscus variant such as Hibiscus 'Aussie Pink').

Key Features

• Appearance: Large, pale-to-vibrant pink petals with pronounced veins and a deep red or crimson-maroon center ring (eye).

• Origin: An Australian native species (or cultivar derived from native species like Hibiscus splendens and Hibiscus heterophyllus) found in open forests and coastal regions of New South Wales and Queensland.

• Growth: A fast-growing, hardy shrub that blooms heavily during spring and summer.

Part of my back fence is still down from the Laurel Oak removal. This is in my neighbor's yard. Tree guys beat it up a bit, but it is still flowering beautifully.
