It's pouring rain, stifling and blowing the dog off the chain — time to bring the photographic subject indoors. The hibiscus season is almost over and the flowers are withered, wet and shredded. But wait, there in the dense shrub there's one. Quickly cut, remove insects, stick stem into some water in a wine bottle. Open the curtains wide, set the flower, camera and tripod up, and forget there's another night and day of boisterous La Nina weather. And here it is, the last flame hibiscus of the summer.
El hibiscus, al menos aquí, en el centro de la Península Ibérica, durante el verano, es, como en la frase del dicho, pero literalmente: “flor de un día” que a veces incluso le cuesta completar. Pero cuando llega el otoño, se desarrolla más lentamente y dura varios días, con lo que la planta luces más porque permanecen varia flores abiertas simultáneamente, además, como sucede con las rosas, al ser la luz del sol más dédil, saturan más los colores.

L'Hibiscus rosa-sinensis est l'hibiscus le plus connu et il a été utilisé dans de nombreuses hybridations. Les premières variétés (doubles) ont été ramenées de Chine. Son nom latin y trouve son origine.

That's a result of an experiment with a 31mm macro extension ring. It's not that good. 21mm was great but 31mm sucks a bit. I guess I was at this point before, I just forgot what the problem was.
I saw these pink Hibiscus flowers growing in the Tropical Biome at the Eden Project. They had these flowers in various colours but I liked the pink ones best.
Saw this Hibiscus flowering at Home Depot. Almost bought the plant. Not sure where I would plant it. It caught my eye so I snapped a few shots.
