The adventures of Superman and Batman continue in Phayao as our super heroes pose for the camera!
I'm still trying to learn how to use my new phone's camera, so there will probably be a few over saturated and way too exposed photos until I get the hang of it. :P
Anyway, here are all the "heros" from this wave of designer dolls! This wave has most defiantly been my favorite designer colection released thus far, they're all so detailed! I'm really excited to see what they do next year! :D

This time of year, I can always count on the American Goldfinch to come over and save my bird photo outing. They always seem to appear when nothing else is in sight.
Mi favorite fictional hero, Captain America. This is a 6" action figure toy that I have from years ago. I want to share this song/video about his memories on war. Is one of my favorites songs, dedicated to the character in the movie, Steve Rogers.

The Heroes' Cross is a monument built between 1926 and 1928 on Caraiman Peak at an altitude of 2,291 m located in Romania, in the Bucegi Mountains of the Southern Carpathians. The name of the monument is "The Heroes' Cross", but it is popularly known as the "Cross on Caraiman".
The cross itself has a height of 28 metres (92 ft) and two arms of 7 metres (23 ft) each. The monument is the tallest summit cross in the world situated at such an altitude, as recognized in 2014 by Guinness World Records. The width of the vertical pole is 2 metres (7 ft), the horizontal arms have a length by spindle pole of 7 metres (23 ft), and a square cross section with sides of 2 metres (7 ft). The cross is made out of steel profiles and is mounted on a pedestal of concrete clad with stone 7.5 metres (25 ft) high. Inside the pedestal there is a room that originally housed the electric generator that powered the 120 light bulbs of 500 W each located on the perimeter of the cross" - Wiki
This 220ft monument at High Point State Park was raised in 1930 on the highest point in New Jersey (1800ft above sea level). It was built for:
"the glory and honor and eternal memory of New Jersey heroes by land and sea and air in all wars of our country."
At night it is lighted up on the mountain top and you can see it from all around the area.

The Commando Memorial is situated about a mile from Spean Bridge village in Lochaber in the Scottish Highlands and is dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces during World War Two. It overlooks the training areas of the commando training depot at Achnacarry Castle.
Taken in April with some late snow on the hills.
The mausoleum is to honour of the hero Pahlavon Mahmud, writer, philosopher and fighter who has become a patron saint of Chiwa. After the legend he helped the Indian ruler, and to recompense him, he asked what he wants as a present. He asked to release his fellow citizens in the prison so many as possible who could contain a cowhide. This was accepted, but he cut it in thin pieces to receive a very long belt which saved a big number of them.
The mausoleum comes from 1362, however, was rebuilt in 19. and in 1913 to be converted into the mausoleum of the Khan family. The room is in the Persian style with a turquoise-coloured dome in which the grave of the Khan Mohammed Rakhim is accommodated. In another space there is the tomb of Pahlavon Mahmud, decorates with tiles.
In Ottawa there's a place dedicated to Canadian women who have contributed to our society. This woman is Viola Desmond who, in 1946 dared to sit in a whites only section of a theatre. She was arrested but at her trial she became a hero for standing up to discrimination. The laws were soon changed.
Just this year, in tribute to Viola, it was decided that her portrait would grace our $10 bill.
Laid out in 1896 to mark the thousandth anniversary of Hungary, Heroes' Square (Hősök tere) is the largest and most impressive square of Budapest.
The Millennium Monument in the middle of the square was erected to commemorate the 1000-year-old history of the Magyars. Archangel Gabriel stands on top of the center pillar, holding the holy crown and the double cross of Christianity. The seven chieftains who led the Magyar tribes to Hungary can be seen on the stand below. Statues of kings and other important historical figures stand on top of the colonnades on either side of the center pillar.
When the monument was originally constructed, Hungary was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and thus the last five spaces for statues on the left of the colonnade were reserved for members of the ruling Habsburg dynasty. The Habsburg emperors were replaced with Hungarian freedom fighters when the monument was rebuilt after World War II.
In 1989 a crowd of 250,000 gathered at the square for the reburial of Imre Nagy, former Prime Minister of Hungary, who was executed in 1958. (from visitbudapest.travel/)

I got more animals to showcase. However, the response that I'm getting with the animals was not favorable and I can easily get bored with a series especially when it lacks support from my friends.
So, I'm back with my first love. The Wheels.
I started working with this picture that's made up of 7 exposures on Photomatix. First, I tried my old extreme style that made me known to the HDR world. I was praised and in some quarters, got stoned too. However, I was not happy with the old result and decided to go for a more subtle & realistic looking HDR.
Then, I loaded the HDR image to Photoshop CS2 to work on levels, saturations, curves, etc. And still, I was not at all satisfied.
Finally, I decided to play with my imagination. The funny thing is that I came out with something HDR is not supposed to be. HDR in my opinion is a flat image where highlights and shadows are on equal terms. I'm not a proponent of the flat HDR image where the shadows are almost eliminated. I love my image to be composed of lights and shadows. So, this is the final image where I wish will win your most coveted approval.
In summary, this is 1/3 Photomatix, 1/3 Photoshop and 1/3 KK Touch.
