The church was built by William Sinclair, a son of the Earl of Orkney, in the 1400s. The Sinclairs original name was St.Clair revealing the Norman connection to the family. William who was considered a ne’er do well by his father was never a Knight Templar. The knights had been dishonoured and disbanded by Pope Clement long before (in 1312)....
.....The Knights Templar themselves had a long, controversial and colourful history. Though they began in the spiritual idealism of the early Crusades, in time they amassed great wealth in the Holy Land and became known for their excesses. “To drink like a Templar“ was an adage of the day. They were eventually accused of heresy and sorcery by the church. Their order ended in dissolution and disgrace with the burning at the stake of their leader and Grand Master, Jacques de Molay in Paris. It is said he died defiant, condemning both the pope and the church!

Painted jezebel having a good breakfast!!
And now the most interesting part of All🙏
Etymology
From Jezebel, the Phoenician princess and Queen of Ancient Israel who appears in the Old Testament (1 Kings). She incited heresy and lured the Jews away from their God and back to idols. Before her death, knowing that she was soon to be slain, she took the time to fix her hair and paint her face.
From the 16th century, some people believed that makeup was worn only by immoral women; hence the wearing of makeup implied immorality.

The Berbie Palace is an old urban castle of the bishops of Albi, built between 1228 and 1308, which stands in the French commune of Albi, in the southwest of France.
Built during the second half of the 13th century, it was first intended as a prestigious residence. It then became a fortress, facing the hostility of the Albigensian population, both economically and religiously, with the Cathar heresy. Subsequently, it was several times revised by the bishops of the city between the 16th and 18th centuries, gaining in comfort without completely losing the appearance of austere fortress.
It was declared a French historical monument in 1862. Since 2010, it is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by its membership in the medieval architectural complex of the episcopal city of Albi. It adjoins the Cathedral of Saint Cecilia for which it has tested some architectural techniques. It shares with it and many of the buildings of the old city the red brick fairground.

Capital of planet Arrakis (also known as Dune)
Imperium Year 10391
A visitor stops in front of a painting of a father and son on a walk through the desolate surroundings of Arraken, the capital of the Planet of Sands.
The visitor remembers with pain what his father had told him at the time: “Respect for truth comes close to being the basis for all morality. 'Something cannot emerge from nothing,' he said. This is profound thinking if you understand how unstable 'the truth' can be. ”
The visitor could not suppress a smile as he looked at this image he himself had created several years ago. It had sparked so much debate about freedom of artistic expression both here on Dune and throughout Imperium. You should know that water is very scarce on Dune, it does not rain! Access to water is therefore a source of constant tension. However, his image showed clouds of water vapors! while the only clouds visible in the sky of Dune were clouds associated with sandstorms. Then a clamor was heard all over the planet: on the one hand, there were those who shouted at heresy, at an impossible dream, at an unforgivable departure from the truth ... And, on the other, those who asked: “What senses do we lack that we cannot see or hear another world all around us?”
Yet he had only put into practice this other idea formulated by his father: “There is in all things a pattern that is part of our universe. It has symmetry, elegance, and grace - these qualities you find always in that the true artist captures. "
However, these qualities lacked in Dune and it was time for him, to honor the memory of his father, by designing another future for the Planet of Sands ...

Note: All the ideas presented in this text (in quotes) are those of the creator of Dune, Frank Herbert, a great artist and intellectual. The setting above presents him as the father of a young artist "Dunian" who, in turn, will invent a future for his planet. Dune is one of the landmarks of modern science fiction.

Cordes-sur-Ciel (French pronunciation: [kɔʁd syʁ sjɛl]; Occitan: Còrdas, [ˈkɔɾðos], before 1993: Cordes) is a commune in the Tarn department, region of Occitania, Southern France. The fortified town was built in 1222 by Raimond VII, the Count of Toulouse, who, though not a Cathar, tolerated what other Catholics considered heresy.
There is one key which will open the Book to you and reveal its golden treasures. That key is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Foundation, the Center, and the Mainspring of all Divine Truth. This is what He said, “Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me.” If we would avoid error in interpreting and applying the Scriptures, we must understand that everything in the Bible speaks of and relates to Christ. Divorce any doctrine from Christ and that doctrine becomes heresy. Divorce any precept from Christ and that precept becomes self-righteous legality.

The largest brick cathedral in the world, 113 meters long and 35 meters wide, it dominates the city with its 78-meter bell tower, which was completed in 1492 shortly after the consecration of the choir in 1480.

Shot wide-open, contre-jour (with two LED lamps plus reflector). In the public discourse of the West, there is a resurgence of medieval brutality. Some interest groups believing in the righteousness of their cause show a worrying tendency to publicly shame those with a different point of view. These are not just considered as thinking differently, they are publicly "exposed" as traitors. As in any ferocious kind of religiosity, "heretics" need to be persecuted, tortured by the thought police and then quartered and burned - if not physically, then at least in the social media. As I said, these are worrying times. The re-introduction of the Inquisition can be in nobody's interest.

There is some major drainage work going on and our High Street is frequently closed. And then you have the road to yourself. You can walk freely, focus your camera, catch the late afternoon light - and you are getting "heretical" ideas: a world without cars! As said before, it's kind of heretical and would need a bit more thought. But you cannot get to a new way of thinking without producing one or two heresies. Leica M Mono, Voigtlander CS 2.2/50.
Windy Mount St. Helens
A landscape photograph shot in the middle of the day? What heresy is this? But seriously, it's about much more than just epic light (not that my previous image would have given you that idea). This was the first shot taken on an amazing workshop with @CandaceDyar back in July of last year where I learned how to shoot flowers in front of mountains yay! I had a hell of a time focus stacking this one as the wind was blowing the flowers all over the place.
I know this picture isn't my M.O. but honestly I'm still trying to find my visual style, if I even have one. I see so many people with really coherent and consistent styles and I realize I don't really have that at all. I treat all my images as unique entities and process them all from scratch with the goal of conveying the feeling and emotion of being in these beautiful places on earth. Maybe that's why? I don't know. Hope you enjoy!

Sliding down from the Brescian Prealps into the Po Valley is the ancient Lombard city of Brescia, some 3500 years old. Fascinating place and as I walk the streets I think I hear Marco Uccellini's (1610-1680) Sonata 'La filosofia'. Brescia around the turn of the 16th century was a mistress of violin making; think of master Giovanni Paolo Maggini (1580-1630) and his school.
From my balcony in the middle of the night this view of Brescia's two cathedrals. The new one on the left was built from 1604; it's also called 'the Summer Cathedral'. The old one is just visible on the right; its affectionate name is 'the Winter Cathedral' and it dates from the 11th century, which makes it romanesque. I saw the new cathedral yesterday and its twin organ. But this morning I'll visit the old one with an organ dating to the 16th century.
And the sky is Bright Blue!
Ah! Yes! and Brescia was the home of the radical social-political thinker - perhaps philosopher - Arnold of Brescia (1090-1155), renouncing property ownership. He was hanged for his 'heresy'.

This is just one section of three at my local neighborhood grocery. I found the offering from the Death Wish Coffee Co. interesting. Happy Crazy Tuesday!

"The Church of Saint Joan of Arc (French: L'église Sainte-Jeanne-d'Arc) is a Catholic church in the city centre of Rouen, northern France.
The church of Saint Joan of Arc was completed in 1979 in the centre of the ancient market square, known as the Place du Vieux-Marché, the place where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake for heresy in 1431. A small garden, Le Bouchet, which is outside and to the north of the church marks the exact spot.
The modern church Sainte-Jeanne d'Arc and the adjacent market halls were designed by the architect Louis Arretche, who was commissioned in 1969. The sweeping curves of the structure are meant to evoke both the flames that consumed Joan of Arc and an overturned longship. Many early Christian churches were designed in the shape of an overturned boat. The market halls simultaneously resemble smaller overturned boats and fish with gaping mouths, which are also rich Christian symbols. The tiled roof echoes this theme and forms a covered walkway over the square." (Wikipedia)
It is not without reason that you usually only see photos from the inside of the church, because the complex, which continuously extends into the market halls on the one side and the marketplace roof on the other, is not easy to photograph from the outside.

Since the late 20th century, the village has become a popular tourist destination. Until 1993, the town's name was Cordes, a word thought to come from the Indo-European root "corte" meaning "rocky heights." That year, it was renamed Cordes-sur-Ciel, to indicate its height above the clouds over low-lying areas of the valley.

GPW Heavyweight Title Match
Bubblegum © vs. Dirk Feelgood
Just a few months ago you'd be forgiven for taking a double take at this match. The friendship between the two former friends totally imploded with the desire to become Heavyweight champion. Refusing to accept the demise of his friendship with Dirk Feelgood, Bubblegum spent months in turmoil not wanting to retaliate to the cutting comments and brutal attacks levelled his way by former friend and champion Feelgood. As time went by however, Bubblegum eventually unloaded on Feelgood but this will be the first time the two have ever come face to face in a one on one match. And to make things just a little more interesting... it's for the GPW Heavyweight Title. Can the fairytale championship reign continue for Bubblegum, or can Dirk shatter his dreams and become the first ever 2 time Heavyweight Champ?
Tag Team Special, Skeletor vs. Stella
Lethal Dose vs. Voodoo & "Sober" Mike Holmes
Alan Alan Alan Tasker's henchmen, Lethal Dose march into battle against former stable member Mike Holmes and the man they hold responsible for Holmes' new found sobriety - Voodoo. Cyanide and Toxic hope to tempt Holmes back over to the stable that two months ago he turned his back on. They want to snap him out of the spell they accuse Voodoo of putting him under. However, Holmes seems very happy with his new outlook on life and he and Voodoo look to send Lethal Dose packing in this tag team special. Lethal Dose have warned they will not be coming to the ring alone though, with them along with their attorney and law - Alan Alan Alan Tasker will be a 12 pack of Stella. Hoping the case of beer will prove to be a bigger demon to Holmes than the tag team itself. To fend off the 12 pack, Holmes and Voodoo will have Vooodoo's trusty skull, Skeletor in their corner. An unpredictable tag team match. Can MIke Holmes stay sober? Will Voodoo's spells work? Or will Lethal Dose deliver a beating big enough to break Voodoo's spell?
GPW British Title Match
Jak Dominotrescu vs. "Super" Sam Bailey
After pinning the British Champion last month in a tag team match, WKD's "Super" Sam Bailey has earned himself a title shot at GPW: "Christmas Crunch". Bailey, already a former tag team champion looks to add to his growing reputation by capturing his first ever singles gold in GPW. While reigning champion, Romanian Jak Domitrescu along with his cohorts - The Eastern Bloc look to make life as difficult as possible for the energetic live wire. Domitrescu has held onto the title since April this year with help from his fellow countrymen, but are his days numbered as champ? He surely wont be alone in this title outing and will have the Eastern Bloc close by, but can "Super" Sam Bailey overcome the odds to win his first singles gold in GPW?
And, the main event for the evening is...
GPW Tag Team Title 2/3 Falls Match
MIl-Anfield Connection © vs. Young Offenders
The heat just got turned up in this feud. The re-united Young Offenders have the most established tag team in GPW - The Mil-Anfield Connection firmly in their sights and not to mention the tag team trophy. These two teams met in September this year where there was no clear winner decided after the match ended in a draw. There will be NO excuses this time to not find a winner. This, for the first time in our history will be a 2/3 Falls Match for the tag team titles. A winner HAS to be decided, but who will it be? A truley epic encounter is in our midst as Jiggy Walker & "The Model" Danny Hope try to cling onto the championship that has defined them as a team and "Dangerous" Damon Leigh & Joey Hayes, The Young Offenders chase the title that one of the most popular tag teams in Europe have never held. Can the re-united friends overcome the well established unit that is The Mil-Anfield Connection? Or can the well oiled duo of the Mil-Anfield do what they've been doing all year and win again?
GPW British Title No.1 Contenders Match
Harry Doogle vs. Juice vs. Dylan Roberts vs. Chris Echo
After an eye catchingly good year from rookie Dylan Roberts, he has been included in this battle to earn a shot at the British Title. With a burning desire to win and the fans firmly behind him, Roberts could well mark his arrival onto the main roster by becoming the No.1 Contender and going for gold here. However, his opponents wont give him an easy ride. In a wonderful CC-08 tournament, no one impressed more than WKD's Chris Echo. Echo reached the CC-08 finals with two broken wrists and proved he is ready to take a step up. His previous attempts for British gold have been thwarted by the foreign legion numbers of the Eastern Bloc, is he ready to prove again that he is worthy of being No.1 Contender and finally lift the British title? Juice, the current CC8 champion has been as impressive as ever in singles competition this year, but can he compete in this match with 3 others all vying to be No.1 Contender? Also replacing Jervis Cottonbelly due to injury is Harry Doogle as a last minute entry could one half of the next gen score the upset win? , but with so many possible outcomes who will leave with the plaudits and go on to challenge for the British Title next year?
Lumberjack Match
Si Valour vs. Heresy
A violent and personal feud that has lasted all year long finally comes to a head in what promises to be a violent Lumberjack Match. Ever since brutalising Valour and cutting off all his hair, Heresy has, in some form or other dodged the challenge of Valour. Heresy claimed not to have lost his bottle or be running scared of the 2007 Break Out Star, yet during their Bull Rope clash at GPW: "V" where the two were tied to one another, Heresy still managed to find a way of escaping and creating distance between him and Valour. This time, in a special Lumberjack Match, no matter where either man go - there will be no escape. All lumberjacks will be at the ready to ensure neither man can escape the others clutches and a clear winner, one way or the other will HAVE to be decided. There will be nowhere to run to and nowhere to hide, no matter where they look. Heresy has been one step ahead of Valour all year, is this where he runs out of excuses, or can the master manipulator manipulate another win?

We're back at the Monaco Ballroom on Friday December 12th for the final show of 2008!! Make sure you make it to see how the year's feuds end at this season ending super show - GPW: "Christmas Crunch"
We promise we wont crunch your credit.... we'll only crunch your Christmas!!

For your entertainment and consideration on this week's episode of CrAzY TuEsdAy is the heretical FranKenKaMerA where I installed the lens/shutter off my $26.81 No. 1 Pocket Kodak onto the front of a Polaroid Land Camera J66. Why would I do this? After a couple hours of trying to patch holes in the bellows on the recently acquired Kodak, I conceded it was toast. I had the J66 just laying around, figuring someday I'd find a lens to stick on the front of it. The hole was just slightly smaller than the Kodak lens required, so only a little grinding with a Dremel stone was necessary to make it fit. The J66 has detents for landscape and portrait focus each - both were too close to the film plane for the Kodak lens; however, the J66 bellows can be extended further where it locks into place. When set there, and with a piece of 4x5 sheet film stuffed in the back, it just so happens to be set to the hyperlocal distance for the Kodak lens. I've got a sheet of HP5+ in there right now, and I'll give it a go soon. Gonna try a night shot with it.
Photo taken by my Sony a7 with a bokeh master Canon 55mm ƒ1.2 lens set wide open on the front.
In time, I'll get around to replacing the bellows in the No. 1 Pocket Kodak.
Yeah I know, this isn't a pretty picture; but hopefully, very soon, it'll take pretty pictures.
