As one of the new pieces of headgear was a new helmet (and air bottles) for Ben, I redecorated the hat shop to be a helmet shop. With the "imperfect" theme on Macro Monday coming up, I thought I'd use that scene, because Ben's helmet (and air bottles) have been painted with ancient artist's oil paint, which never was up to the job nor had the time to dry when I needed to use that helmet - Ben has had a shabby look since then.
The shop keeper kept her pink look, but adapted to the theme.

This is "Thor's Helmet" in Canis Major, a spectacular nebula that lies 15,000 light-years from Earth.
I captured this image from my light-polluted backyard in Ontario, Canada earlier this year using a 150mm refractor telescope.
This HOO palette image was created by using a monochrome CCD camera and narrowband filters.
All my helmets. i have some more indy military hats -.-. ill paint em camo. and im still waitng for one more order from brickforge
now its a helmet law in Cambodia and this driver had put it on , but the other on the moto ?
Pyjamas works evryday in Cambodia , many peole have it all day
The new law in Cambodia says that a moto can only have 2 people onboard ;-)

Also, not sure if that bubble feature is real in the lower left hand corner, between the little chain of stars?

Today was the last day of filming for 'The First War For The West', and I did a full seven hours of work as an extra on it. Today I was mostly an Athenian hoplite, and it was bloody hard work. The costume was heavy and uncomfortable to wear, and the long spear a lot harder to manipulate than I thought it would be; many of us were in as much danger from our own troops as we were from the enemy. I am utterly exhausted, and ache all over.
This shows off the posh helmet I got to wear. It looked great when I could get it to sit straight. There's actually a cap underneath to help it sit on my head properly. All that did was just make me hot.
Honest opinion: **** the details :D
The new helmets are much too big, I can see how they got the idea for that but it doesn't work well on minifigures. What do you think?

Taken at 1:1 magnification. Cropped. Straightened. The exposed black shock-absorbing material is about 12 mm wide at the narrowest (bottom) section.
My father was a U.S Air Force Pilot and gave me this WWII USAAF A-11 Leather Flight Helmet before he passed away. Shooting this for Macro Mondays Group brought back some wonderful memories of this amazing man!
This helmet was manufactured by Bradley-Goodrich Inc between 1943-1945.

NGC 2359, commonly known as Thor's Helmet Nebula, is an emission nebula located in the constellation Canis Major. This nebula is also sometimes referred to as the "Duck Nebula" due to its appearance resembling a duck in flight. It was discovered by Sir William Herschel in 1785.
The nebula is situated about 15,000 light-years away from Earth and spans about 30 light-years in diameter. It is formed by the fast stellar wind from a massive central star interacting with and shaping the surrounding interstellar medium. The central star, which is a Wolf-Rayet star named WR7, is a massive, hot, and short-lived star that is expected to eventually end its life in a supernova.

GI helmet & Jeep.
Nothing symbolises the US military as much as the Jeep.
It is a basic vehicle and yet it evokes so much emotion and past memories of time in the services.
Communications are vital which is the reason this Jeep is fitted with a 524 radio.
Positioned in the rear seat would be the RTO (Radiotelephone Operator) at the ready to convey communications to the vehicle commander.

The Helmet Sculpture by Enzo Plazzotta was erected in 1964 to mark the 700 year anniversary of the Battle of Lewes. It is sited beside the ruins of the Priory in Lewes, East Sussex.
The Battle of Lewes was fought on 14th May 1264 between the forces of King Henry III and the barons led by Simon de Montfort. The barons wanted the country governed by a council rather than the king. The king's army camped at this site on 12 th May. The king was defeated and signed a treaty, the Mise of Lewes, restricting his authority. In 1845 a large burial ground was discovered at the Priory containing hundreds of bodies from the battle.
Through the cross openings in the helmet you can see the tower keep of Lewes Castle in the distance.

I got set back by a lightning surge which blew a back up hard drive and damaged my boot drive - which ive since repaired.. thankfully my project drive took it like a champ.. but has made me leery - so backed up all my important stuff in case it decides to give up the ghost.
Anyways! - helmet progress.. think i've narrowed down on the jaw \ and helmet shell.. just need to do some more details and design on the visor.
