Though Matisse (right) found that Marcelle (left) liked to take charge and determine when and how they played, she was always eager to play with her somewhat bossy minute-older twin sister...unless Marcelle made their games take unpredictable and mysterious twists...

 

Marcelle: "Let's play with Barbie. You and she are my minions; I am Queen of the Universe. Little Minion Barbie: Go make me a snack and bring it back quickly!"

 

Matisse starts to get up to bring Marcelle a snack.

 

Marcelle: "No! I said Little Minion Barbie must go--alone! Don't disobey, Big Minion!"

 

Matisse (confused): "She can't go by herself; I...

 

Marcelle (cuts Matisse off): "Barbie! You have disobeyed your Queen! You must go to jail--jail on Mars!"

 

Marcelle grabs Barbie and scampers off to the bedroom.

 

"Come back," yells Matisse as she runs after them.

 

When she reaches the bedroom, Matisse finds an unusual scene: Marcelle has taken the birdcage containing their pet, Tweetybird, and is holding Barbie near it.

 

Matisse asks, "What are you doing?"

 

Marcelle: "I'm going to put Tweetybird in the little birdcage like we do when we clean this one so we can use his cage as Barbie's jail cell!"

 

Marcelle resumes her solemn and stern demeanor as The Queen of the Universe:

 

"You are sentenced to life in prison, Barbie, for being an evil minion--a traitor--and trying to overthrow your Queen. You are bring shipped to Mars...as soon as I put Tweetybird in the small cage."

 

Matisse: "But Barbie is innocent! And she's too big to fit in that cage!"

 

Marcelle: "I'll make her sit so that her legs can stick out through the bars of her cell."

 

Matisse (to Barbie): "Barbie, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. I was a bad minion, not you; yet, you are being punished!"

 

Marcelle (giving Matisse directions so that they can continue to play): "Matisse, go get our radio. Turn the dial to some really loud static--that will be the outer space noise as Barbie flies to Mars!"

 

Matisse: "Will this be fun? Will Barbie get out of jail and come back home?"

 

Marcelle: "It already is fun! Stop asking questions! Let's keep playing!"
