Hella Flyin 2015 - Again working for a living - Taking up a load of Parachutists up to 13.000 feet. Cargo doors removed (and seen lying on ground in foreground).
I have to say that I'm very proud of my dad. He took a lot of good pictures.

Με τον διεθνη όρο Λίμπερτυ χαρακτηρίστηκε ειδικός τύπος φορτηγού πλοίου που ναυπηγήθηκε στην Αμερική (ΗΠΑ) σε πολύ μεγάλο αριθμό κατά τη διάρκεια του Β΄ Π.Π. και που παρέμεινε σε ενεργό υπηρεσία πολλά χρόνια μετά από αυτόν, κυρίως για μεταφορές ομοειδών φορτίων.Μετά τη λήξη του πολέμου, 100 τέτοια πλοία "λίμπερτυ" παραχωρήθηκαν δανεικά από τις ΗΠΑ στην Ελλάδα, σε Έλληνες πλοιοκτήτες.
Το έτος 2000 ο εφοπλιστής Βασίλης Κωνσταντόπουλος, συμπαραστεκόμενος και από άλλους εφοπλιστές καθώς και από ναυτικούς παράγοντες, καταφέρνει να δωρίσει η Αμερικανική κυβέρνηση το συγκεκριμένο, ένα από τα 3 τελευταία που έμειναν στον κόσμο, στην Ελληνική Κυβέρνηση προκειμένου να το μετατρέψει σε μουσείο. Κατέπλευσε στο λιμάνι του Πειραιά ρυμουλκούμενο, μετά από 31 μέρες ταξίδι.
The international average of Liberty featured special type of cargo ship, built in America (USA) in very large numbers during the Second WW and remained in active service for many years after that, mainly transport similar loads.After the war, 100 of these ships "Liberty" granted loans from the U.S. to Greece, to Greek shipowners.
In 2000 the shipowner v. Konstantopoulos with other shipowners and seafarers of factors, managed to donate the American government in particular, one of the three last ones left in the world, to the Greek government in order to turn it into a museum. Sailed into the harbor of Piraeus trailer after 31 days trip.
