Με τον διεθνη όρο Λίμπερτυ χαρακτηρίστηκε ειδικός τύπος φορτηγού πλοίου που ναυπηγήθηκε στην Αμερική (ΗΠΑ) σε πολύ μεγάλο αριθμό κατά τη διάρκεια του Β΄ Π.Π. και που παρέμεινε σε ενεργό υπηρεσία πολλά χρόνια μετά από αυτόν, κυρίως για μεταφορές ομοειδών φορτίων.Μετά τη λήξη του πολέμου, 100 τέτοια πλοία "λίμπερτυ" παραχωρήθηκαν δανεικά από τις ΗΠΑ στην Ελλάδα, σε Έλληνες πλοιοκτήτες.
Το έτος 2000 ο εφοπλιστής Βασίλης Κωνσταντόπουλος, συμπαραστεκόμενος και από άλλους εφοπλιστές καθώς και από ναυτικούς παράγοντες, καταφέρνει να δωρίσει η Αμερικανική κυβέρνηση το συγκεκριμένο, ένα από τα 3 τελευταία που έμειναν στον κόσμο, στην Ελληνική Κυβέρνηση προκειμένου να το μετατρέψει σε μουσείο. Κατέπλευσε στο λιμάνι του Πειραιά ρυμουλκούμενο, μετά από 31 μέρες ταξίδι.

In 2000 the shipowner v. Konstantopoulos with other shipowners and seafarers of factors, managed to donate the American government in particular, one of the three last ones left in the world, to the Greek government in order to turn it into a museum. Sailed into the harbor of Piraeus trailer after 31 days trip.

Hella Ingrid is known for the silent film Der Muff/the Muff (Harry Piel, Joe May, 1919). In this crime film of the detective Joe Deebs series, she played the female lead.

Off something European and early 1980s I reckon. There is a reference number on it - 301-119 428. I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything.
Hellas Restaurant was our choice for the penultimate meal of our holiday. Founded in 2001, it's just got better and better over the years, with a small but superb menu at reasonable prices - and easily rivalling the best of the UK's cuisine.
I picked a belly pork dish and Mike went for fish yet again! Don't ask me which one, I stay well away from the fishy part of a menu but I do know it had a poncy 'foam' with it. You can see it on the plate in the photo. Two excellent choices, I must say.

1935 Built by Stephen & Sons Ltd of Linthouse. Glasgow for Tasmanian Steamers a joint company owned by Union S.S.Co and Huddart Parker Ltd and was 4286 GRT.
She was on the Launceston - Melbourne run.
During WW11 she was used as a fast troop transporter and carried over 93,000 troops in a four year period.
Owner: Tasmanian Steamers Pty Ltd, Melbourne.
Builder: Alexander Stephen & Sons, Linthouse, Glasgow.
1959 Sold to Typaldos Bros Steam Ship Co of Piraeus. Greece and renamed Hellas.
1963 Registration of Ownership was transferred to Aegean Steam Navigation who were also owned by Typaldos Bros Ltd of Piraeus.
1967 Laid up at Kynossoura and later near Elefsina Piraeus Greece.
1970 Typaldos Bros Ltd collapsed and the vessel was eventually sold by the National Bank of Greece who were the creditors to Nigdelier Hurdacilik Makina Ticaret SA Turkey.
1989 23rd May arrived at Aliaga under tow for demolition.

So, heute sind die Schuhe gekommen. Die silberne Farbe sieht sehr schön aus.
Die Polsterung innen (Sohle) ist sehr weich und angenehm (--> bin barfuß drin). Allerdings finde ich, dass die Schläppchen sehr knapp ausfallen, bin ganz vorne mit den Zehen, aber vielleicht geben die Schläppchen auch noch etwas nach...? Ich denke mit Socken wirds etwas eng.
