Looking through archives finding Mt.St. Helens with all his charisma on a sunrise morning from our backyard hill.
In AWE of mother nature and all her wondrous beauty! And the recovery of Mt. St. Helens burst in 1980. Which I witnessed that horrific morning.

thru the airplane window. I always like getting a good view of St Helens when flying to Seattle from Anchorage. Always amazes me the devastation caused when she blew
The was taken with my iPhone and I zoomed in with it quite a bit and the effect I thought ended up being kind of cool, sort of like a watercolor look
My mom's name was Helen and I have a good Flickr friend named Helen. Both like pink💕 My mom loved to get a box of chocolates from dad on Valentine's day. Not sure if my Flickr friend likes chocolates ;D

The Helen K is one of the two boats in the foreground of this photo (if you enlarge you'll clearly make out which). Autumn is in full swing now in Tasmania, as can be seen from the trees in the background.
Of all the shots I took during our riverside walk a couple of weeks ago, this one is my personal favourite.
Watching the different relationships each cow have with one another is really interesting. Just like humans they have their own clicks.
This was the first time I saw these two interact so affectionately and it made me happy because i initially thought they were both loners.
It's a beautiful star filled sky tonight at St Helen's Pier Rosslare County Wexford. The Tuskar Lighthouse shining bright on the horizon.

A little walk this evening from Ballytrent to Oldmill and St Helen's. The tide was coming in with some nice waves and those big shower clouds out toward Tuskar Rock lit up beautifully at sunset.

Helen Lake near Muir Pass, Kings Canyon National Park, California.

This is a panorama, a stitch of 8 single exposures made with a Nikon D7000 and Tokina 11-16mm. Besides the stitch and Nikon's 'Vivid' Picture Control these images are SOOC.
A bit of trivia: Muir had two daughters, Wanda and Helen. These are also the names of the lakes closest to Muir Pass along the John Muir Trail - Wanda Lake on the north side of the pass and Helen Lake on the south side.

Helens Bay and village are named after Helen Blackwood, Baroness Dufferin and Claneboye (née Sheridan), who owned Clandeboye Estate and was the mother of Frederick Hamilton-Temple-Blackwood, 1st Marquess of Dufferin and Ava.
Fredrick was a Victorian public servant and went on to become Viceroy and Governor-General of India, 3rd Governor General of Canada amongst many other appointments and achievements

I've always thought that home should be a comfortable place. It shouldn't be fussy, just warm and inviting. I was out shooting with Tim and Christina today, and we met at Christina's Mom's house in Cerrilos. It was a very nice time.

A test shot attempting to capture the Milky Way from the Johnston Ridge Observatory at Mt. St. Helens. The bright sky on the horizon in the lower right of the frame is most likely light pollution from the Portland-Metropolitan area approximately 50 miles south.

After we got back from the Mills Creek Falls trail, dehydrated and famished, we ate at the cafe at the Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center. Then it was back in the car to drive up Lassen Peak Highway (CA-89) through the park.
Along the way, we stopped; first at the Bumpass Hell parking lot, then at Emerald Lake, and finally at Lake Helen--named for the first woman to summit Lassen Peak and supposedly the snowiest place in California. Who knows if that is true. After all, you can't always believe what you read on the Internet.
