Yes, we do reach for the bad snacks, but a good bit of natural health is the best! I started out with a composition of a raspberry, 2 blueberries a hazel nut and a grape, but gradually ate them till I was left with these.
I was going to shoot Pistachios but realised I’d eaten them all!
Also known as a Grizzly. This healthy boar was seen and admired in the Tetons with good friends Debbie Tubridy, Jen Hall and Rodney Lange.
"Meriwether Lewis and William Clark first described it as grisley, which could be interpreted as either "grizzly" (i.e., "grizzled"—that is, with golden and grey tips of the hair) or "grisly" ("fear-inspiring", now usually "gruesome"). The modern spelling supposes the former meaning; even so, naturalist George Ord formally classified it in 1815 as U. horribilis, not for its hair, but for its character.
Occasionally a huge male grizzly has been recorded, whose size greatly exceeds ordinary, with weights reported up to 680 kg (1,500 lb). A large coastal male of this size may stand up to 3 metres (9.8 ft) tall on its hind legs and be up to 1.5 metres (4.9 ft) at the shoulder.
A grizzly bear can also be identified by its rump, which is lower than its shoulders; a black bear's rump is higher than its shoulders. A grizzly bear's front claws measure about 2–4 inches in length; a black bear's claws measure about 1–2 inches in length." Wikipedia
Was a treat to safely enjoy the scavenging, digging and hunting for more food before his time to hibernate.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Here I'm another day enjoying the beach. This time I have prepared a delicious family recipe. I know it looks a bit creepy food, but it's delicious. C'mon. Are you ready to taste it?.

False Creek
Vancouver
British Columbia,
Canada
False Creek is a short inlet in the heart of Vancouver. It separates downtown from the rest of the city. It was named by George Henry Richards during his Hydrographic survey of 1856-63. George Richards named False Creek during his survey of the coast in the mid-19th century. While traveling along the south side of the Burrard Inlet, he thought he was traversing a creek; upon discovering his error, he gave the waterway its modern name. Wikipedia
Burrard Bridge (Background) Vancouver, BC CA
Opened: July 1st, 1932
The Burrard Bridge (also referred to as the Burrard Street Bridge) is a five-lane, Art Deco style, steel truss bridge constructed in 1930-1932 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The high, five part bridge on four piers spans False Creek, connecting downtown Vancouver with Kitsilano via connections to Burrard Street on both ends. It is one of three bridges crossing False Creek.
The architect of the Burrard Bridge was George Lister Thornton Sharp, the engineer John R. Grant. The bridge's two close approach spans are Warren trusses placed below deck level, while its central span is a Pratt truss placed above deck level to allow greater clearance height for ships passing underneath. The central truss is hidden when crossing the bridge in either direction by vertical extensions of the bridge's masonry piers into imposing concrete towers, connected by overhead galleries, which are embellished with architectural and sculptural details that create a torch-like entrance of pylons. Busts of Captain George Vancouver and Sir Harry Burrard-Neale in ship prows jut from the bridge’s superstructure (a V under Vancouver’s bust, a B under Burrard’s).

Tides are the rise and fall of sea levels caused by the combined effects of the gravitational forces exerted by the Moon and the Sun, and the rotation of the Earth. Tide tables can be used for any given locale to find the predicted times and amplitude (or "tidal range"). The predictions are influenced by many factors including the alignment of the Sun and Moon, the phase and amplitude of the tide (pattern of tides in the deep ocean), the amphidromic systems of the oceans, and the shape of the coastline and near-shore bathymetry (see Timing). They are however only predictions, the actual time and height of the tide is affected by wind and atmospheric pressure. Many shorelines experience semi-diurnal tides—two nearly equal high and low tides each day. Other locations have a diurnal tide—one high and low tide each day. A "mixed tide"—two uneven magnitude tides a day—is a third regular category. WIKIPEDIA

Staying Healthy by knowing what and what not to eat
There was a warning last week for foragers not to misidentify mushrooms and toadstools.
I'd never be brave enough to forage!

Trying something completely different.
As I was taking some soup it looked really photogenic. There was no way I wasn't going to snap a picture of it!
I don't usually photograph food but this just caught my eye in a way that I couldn't pass the opportunity.
Eat well and take great photos!

I composed this photograph during a recent photography trip in Canada's Banff National Park. It captures a portion of a Wildlife Corridor across the Trans-Canada Highway.
When the Trans-Canada Highway in Banff National Park was upgraded from two lanes to four, steps were required to curb the high rate of wildlife-vehicle collisions on the highway. Transportation planners and scientists developed a two-fold solution: Install electrified fencing on both sides of the twinned highway to keep large animals from accessing the highway right-of-way, while constructing wildlife underpasses and overpasses to connect vital habitats and help sustain healthy wildlife populations by allowing animals to cross under or over the highway.
With a total of 44 wildlife crossing structures (six overpasses and 38 underpasses), and 82 km of electrified highway fencing, Banff National Park has the most wildlife crossing structures and highway enclosure fencing in a single location on the planet.
It took up to five years for some wary species, like grizzly bears, to start using wildlife crossing structures; however, most species are now using them to safely cross the Trans-Canada Highway. Since fencing and crossing structures were first constructed, wildlife-vehicle collisions have dropped by more than 80%.
