The rural township of Grandchester is located 76 kilometres south-west of central Brisbane. Being only an hour’s drive from the capital presents a fantastic opportunity for locals and tourists alike to pack the family into the car and head off for an educational adventure—to discover a part of Australia that is often overlooked.
Grandchester Railway Station provides a glimpse into the construction and operation of Queensland’s first rail line, which ran initially from Ipswich to Grandchester, before being extended to the Darling Downs. The once-essential equipment and machinery on display will fascinate young and old alike. Guided tours of the station allow visitors to connect with a place that ranks high as one of the state’s most significant railway heritage places.
In addition to being the terminus for the first section of railway line laid in Queensland, the Grandchester Railway Station building was the first in the state to be constructed using local materials. The Station complex includes the station building and a signal cabin with a 22 lever T-bar machine that was decommissioned with the introduction of centralised traffic control. At its peak, Grandchester Railway Station also featured a number of smaller buildings, such as a cream shed and a trolley shed, as well as a fork line and cattle yards.
Today the station is a much quieter place. The station building with its signal cabin and two water tanks remain. So too does the importance of this first terminus in the timeline of Queensland history.

Oi gente tudo bem!!! Quanto tempo, não sei nem se vocês lembram de mim kkk. Fiquei mais ou menos 1 ano e meio fora não é? Bom, eu não vou voltar para a blogosfera porque eu agora estou no 9 ano, e agora preciso me concentrar em passar em concursos, então a minha agenda tá cheia né kkkk. Eu fiz essa header pra passar o tempo e ver se eu ainda consigo fazer layouts, quem sabe eu não faça uma doação generosa?? Ai como eu senti saudade de fazer headers kkkkk

Tô gripada, tipo mal consigo respirar pelo nariz, meu corpo tá todo dolorido e mal sinto gosto de comida. Com os animos a todo vapor, fiz isso aí. Nem tive disposição pra fazer um post e uma sidebar pro layout, pq sério, não fui com a cara dele. Mudei meu estilo, não uso mais aquelas texturas luminosas de antes, enjoei dela já, prefiro essas que dão um tom pra header q não seja o branco. Bom, pelo menos o png ficou descente, pq né...
Continuação do post anterior KKKKKKKK Gostei bastante do primeiro e do ultimo header, o do meio da fail. Achei os dois meeega lindos, coloridos etc. São os headers do suposto slide do lay das Ash. Me digam o que acharam também *-*

Double Header!...
On April 28, Virgin Trains East Coast VTEC Class 91's, 91103 and 91104 pass Hornsey station on the East Coast Main Line ECML, working 1A06 0640 Leeds to London King’s Cross.
A 'Dutch' double-header with Class 73 No. 73119 & Class 33/1 No. 33108 both carrying the former BR Departmental 'Dutch' livery, so called as it mirrored the then yellow and grey colours of Nederlandse Spoorwegan. The train is the delayed 1300 Kidderminster Town - Bridgnorth on 19th May 2024, running 45 minutes late due to the earlier failure of Class 46 No. 46045 on the approach to Bewdley Viaduct. The 'Peak' can be seen on the 'naughty step' at the far end of the platform, together with Class 37 37263, which had rescued the stricken train. Plenty of passengers remain on the platform, many, no doubt, intending to travel of the following delayed 1330 shuttle to Bewdley hauled by Freightliner Class 59 No. 59206 'John F.
