I have taken this photo on December 06, 2016 as the first rays of sunlight fell on the Rock ! This photo and the previous photo (#1321) were captured by me less than two minutes apart ! !
I had a whole bunch of these beautiful flocks of pansies in deep violet and purple shades blossoming in my garden in the spring ! Every morning, and these rich vibrant lil fellas would embalm me with the color and its energy and bright happy moods !
And i found my best color :)

I have tried to capture the nothern lights and the Big Dipper together for awhile now. Rhis is my best attempt to date. I'm not sure how many exposures I took trying to get this photo. The northern lights were out but not extremely strong. After about an hour they briefly got more intense. It was not a really clear night so that gave less stars visible in the sky which fortunately brought out the Big Dipper. The fog lights of my vehicle were turned on for about half the exposure giving a little light to the foreground.

It is naptime for me now and grumpy face has come to get me. Cammy always looks so mad, but he is the most affectionate cat (besides Patches) I have ever had. Cammy reminds me of a dog. He plays fetch. He waits for me, greets me at the door.

The Canada Goose is a large wild goose species with a black head and neck, white cheeks, white under its chin, and a brown body. Native to arctic and temperate regions of North America, its migration occasionally reaches northern Europe. It has been introduced to the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, and the Falkland Islands.
Like most geese, the Canada goose is primarily herbivorous and normally migratory; it tends to be found on or close to fresh water.
Extremely successful at living in human-altered areas, Canada geese have proven able to establish breeding colonies in urban and cultivated areas, which provide food and few natural predators. The success of this common park species has led to its often being considered a pest species because of its depredation of crops and its noise, droppings, aggressive territorial behavior towards both humans and other animals, and its habit of begging for food (caused by human hand feeding).
The oldest known wild Canada Goose was a female, and at least 33 years, 3 months old when she was shot in Ontario in 2001. She had been banded in Ohio in 1969.

We have thousands of these things all over our town right now, they are on just about everything. I photographed this one with the bricks of my building as the background. I purposely cut off the rear part as it was 2 long hairs that were close to 3inches long.
We have arrived home and being knackered as we are I guess it is nighty Night from us! Tomorrow is another day and I will start the long road of catching up with everyone :)

I have a grandcat and a granddog and even a cat nephew. But I have no cute face shots of my grands that were taken by me, and I'm pretty sure my sister will be posting a photo of my feline nephew. So here is Rufus, my Connecticut neighbor's cat. We called him "the philosopher cat" because he would sit on his porch for hours staring in one direction, seemingly contemplating life on Alewife Cove. He's been gone for several years now, but I still think about him often. And he looks a lot like my grandcat! ^-^
