Rumors have been received last night that this would be the "place" where Santa was staying for the summer-holidays........

When you look closer you will notice some square eyes......Now who has been trying to look inside? or is it the other way around, trying to look outside......?

If you want to know why the window is still closed, click here.......

Have a great weekend!

Photo No. 6 of Study No 4 for 2023, Black and White photos. Because of the very strong winds this winter many trees or branches have fallen this season. I lost a cedar in my own backyard. Even sadder than climate change, I feel it's people's refusal to believe it is happening.

I have long time been thinking of making horse portrait with paint and texture. But I have not photographed any good pictures. So this night I searched for Public Domain and found several nice pictures.

Here is my first attempt. Not particularly bold maybe. We look forward to the next try.

Have a Wonderful Day, Flickr Friends.

The Canada Goose is a large wild goose species with a black head and neck, white cheeks, white under its chin, and a brown body. Native to arctic and temperate regions of North America, its migration occasionally reaches northern Europe. It has been introduced to the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, and the Falkland Islands.

Like most geese, the Canada goose is primarily herbivorous and normally migratory; it tends to be found on or close to fresh water.

Extremely successful at living in human-altered areas, Canada geese have proven able to establish breeding colonies in urban and cultivated areas, which provide food and few natural predators. The success of this common park species has led to its often being considered a pest species because of its depredation of crops and its noise, droppings, aggressive territorial behavior towards both humans and other animals, and its habit of begging for food (caused by human hand feeding).

The oldest known wild Canada Goose was a female, and at least 33 years, 3 months old when she was shot in Ontario in 2001. She had been banded in Ohio in 1969.

have a nice weekend :)

I am very tired, no Spring yet, cold again ... just fun shot for today

We have wiped out many of the pests and scourges which afflicted humanity. We have advanced science to the edges of the inexplicable and hoisted technology to the sun itself... In brief, we are prosperous, lively, successful, inventive, diligent — but, nevertheless and notwithstanding, something is wrong and we know it :-)

Have a nice and peaceful third advent everybody. :)

Residents have been flocking to this tropical island paradise for its beautiful views and innovative wave system for years. A great place to relax and listen to the tide crash on the shore.

Have a lovely weekend all my Flickr friends. I took this photo in a local churchyard minutes before I heard of the passing of Prince Philip. My thoughts are with the Queen and the Royal Family.

Having fun with crocuses. Happy weekend!

I have seen one (and only one) of these Katydids in our yard each year for the past five years, but I heard it every night. This summertime visitor happily munched leaves in the large locust tree in our backyard. The tree was removed this year, and I imagine the source of most of the insects in our yard will be gone as well. (Honey Locust trees attract a profusion of aphids, leafhoppers, lacewings, katydids--well any type of sucking or chewing insect that eats plants).

Broad-winged Katydid (Microcentrum rhombifolium).

been so disappointed in someone, you forgive them and don't say anything, but in your head you detach yourself from them completely?"

Thankyou in advance for your support, faves, comments and awards!

I do appreciate you all ❤️

Well, you have to walk for miles along the coast of the Dutch Wadden island of Ameland to reach this untouched piece of nature.

It's too far away to find bathers there and you'll feel like you're in a trance when you feel the force of the wind, the drifting sand and the roar of the surf.

On this still young dune top it becomes clear that the wind causes the dune top to grow.

Before your feet it looks like a surf, but consists of sand that forms at the bottom of the beach and blows upwards.

You can sit there for hours and watch and listen to these primal forces.

This spectacle almost forces you to have respect for nature and you will not find this at all on the coast of the mainland........

I have a grandcat and a granddog and even a cat nephew. But I have no cute face shots of my grands that were taken by me, and I'm pretty sure my sister will be posting a photo of my feline nephew. So here is Rufus, my Connecticut neighbor's cat. We called him "the philosopher cat" because he would sit on his porch for hours staring in one direction, seemingly contemplating life on Alewife Cove. He's been gone for several years now, but I still think about him often. And he looks a lot like my grandcat! ^-^

and, Good morning ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و

Have a wonderful new week to all (๓´˘`๓)♡
