Oh my god, I've changed my mind three times tonight about what to post. Gonna go with this mountain scene taken near Bishop, CA.
Got a couple of hours before I have to go to bed, so I'll let the picture speak for itself, while I go see what you've been posting the past few days.
I'm so tired tonight, drove until 1:30 AM last night and a little past midnight tonight. I'll hit the road at 10 AM tomorrow and should finish by 10 PM. I'm ready to go home for a couple of days, maybe next weekend.
I drove a little over 700 miles in the last 24 hours. (usually average 450-550) Still, I managed to stop a few times today for some 10 minute photo shoots. This was from the last stop just a few miles south of Alamo Nevada off of US-93. This is part of the Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge.
Will be in Grandview Washington tomorrow night, hopefully early enough to spend some time catching up on Flickr.
(I was going to post this last night, but fell asleep while trying to think of a title. Right now I'm in Idaho and taking a short break, wanted post this while I have an internet connection.)
Chopin 12 Etudes, Op. 25 : No.1 in A-Flat Major, 'Aeolian Harp'
Although influenced, I do not remember having had a relaxing week like this in all my life ....
At the moment I do not want to think that it will end soon ....
I hope this can also be transmitted from my images for you ....
Thanks for your recent visits, favorites, comments and invitations, everything is very much appreciated, as always....

C&O GP40-2 #4374 exits the westbound portal of the tunnel at Harper's Ferry. The date is June 6th 1987, and the sun has just about set on the Chessie era. James P Marcus photo, JL Sessa collection.
I spent Thanksgiving weekend on the road with my friend, Greg, in Dinosaur National Monument, the only one of the Colorado National Park/Monuments that I had not seen before.
Goodness, did it exceed all my expectations? Of course, the Quarry Exhibit Hall satisfies scientific/philosophic questions and it makes you as hungry for more just like Smithsonian does. But the scenery while driving, or the gorgeous views while hiking are also hard to put in words. Harpers Corner Trail is amazing.
One can hardly believe that the view on the left and the view on the right are taken from the same outlook. I will post the second vista sometime soon. They are both taken with my iPhone and I am happy enough with the quality, but I doubt that there exists a camera to depict the real beauty of the trail.
Harpers Ferry, population 286 at the 2010 census, is a historic town in Jefferson County, West Virginia, United States, in the lower Shenandoah Valley. Until 1863, it was in Virginia. It is situated at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers, where the U.S. states of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia meet. It is the easternmost town in West Virginia and during the Civil War was the northernmost point of Confederate-controlled territory. It has been called, speaking of the Civil War, "the best strategic point in the whole South".[Wikipedia]

Taken from Maryland Heights from the Maryland side of the Potomac River, after a long walk from the town below, which is in West Virginia state. The town is absolutely lovely, and one can still hear church bells, one of the few places in the USA where bells are ringing, the only other one I know is Charleston, South Carolina, more on the latter coming in the future. The town has historical significance, wikilink:

De Erasmusbrug in Rotterdam kan je blijven fotograferen met telkens weer een ander standpunt, altijd verrassend.
Capture taken along the Potomac River just above Harpers Ferry ... this is taken from the Maryland shore looking towards West Virginia.
