Can anyone ID this fungus/mushroom? Thanks ;-)
The Superb Starling, native to East Africa, stands out amongst its avian counterparts with its resplendent plumage. Its feathers shimmer with a glossy combination of iridescent blues, purples, and greens, forming a tapestry of vibrant hues that seem almost too perfect to be real. The metallic sheen on its back is a captivating sight, contrasting beautifully against its striking black head and chest.
Found in various habitats across Kenya, from savannas to woodlands, the Superb Starling is a social species that thrives in small flocks. Its melodious song fills the air, creating a symphony of sounds that harmonizes with the rhythm of the African wilderness. These birds are known for their agility and aerial acrobatics, darting effortlessly through the skies, adding a touch of dynamism to their already captivating presence.
As an important member of the East African ecosystem, the Superb Starling plays a vital role in seed dispersal and insect control, making it a key player in maintaining the delicate balance of nature.

After I decided on a title for this photo, I thought "Hmm, that sounds like the name of a song" So I googled it and it is the name of a song, by Rhianna. So I listened to it. Yeah, that was a pretty song.
Then I decided to scroll through my iTunes library and came across "Shallow" by Lada Gaga and Bradley Cooper, tapped on it and listened to it. Started singing along with it and when it got to the chorus where I really had to get my voice up there, Otto's head popped up real quick and he looked at me and let out a bit of what sounded like a disapproving vocalization, LOL, or maybe he was trying to harmonize with me, not sure.
Anyway, I thought maybe he didn't like my singing, but I sang along anyway
Here's a link to Shallow.

The temperatures are starting to go down, especially at night. It's only two weeks until my favourite season! Colours on trees and bushes are starting to change. I saw this bush after our hike the other day, with the sun coming through the leaves. I had the wrong lens on, but I think it still worked to show the beauty of the end of summer.

“My prayers, my tears, my wishes, fears, and lamentations, were witnessed by myself and heaven alone. When we are harassed by sorrows or anxieties, or long oppressed by any powerful feelings which we must keep to ourselves, for which we can obtain and seek no sympathy from any living creature, and which yet we cannot, or will not wholly crush, we often naturally seek relief in poetry—and often find it, too—whether in the effusions of others, which seem to harmonize with our existing case, or in our own attempts to give utterance to those thoughts and feelings in strains less musical, perchance, but more appropriate, and therefore more penetrating and sympathetic, and, for the time, more soothing, or more powerful to rouse and to unburden the oppressed and swollen heart.”

The Obradoiro façade is an example of the ornate and busy baroque style that extended during the 18th century, although the architects tried to harmonize it with the portico while maintaining the lighting.
The idea of monumentality and grandiosity as a way of attracting pilgrims becomes important.

Saint-Martin, the church from Vergisson, although not very old (late 19th century, beginning of the 20th century) has a pretty silhouette which harmonizes particularly well with the landscape.
Small curiosity on the photo: I see my car parked at the foot of the church.

A painted lady settled on a tree trunk.
It harmonizes wonderfully with the bark.
Let me sing with you tonight.
Let me join my voice to yours.
We'll harmonize, you stroke the keys
as deftly as you have led me.
I follow, unbidden- trusting fall
Into your arms or by your side.
I'll sing with you or not at all.
Our song demands we harmonize.
There's no one else I'd duet with.
This song was made for us to sing.
In a society where those who always work never have anything, while those who never work enjoy everything, solidarity of interests is non-existent; hence social harmony is but a myth.... Thus the entire arsenal of governments — laws, police, soldiers, the courts, legislatures, prisons — is strenuously engaged in "harmonizing" the most antagonistic elements in society :-)

The changeover to winter time will take place on Sunday October 29, 2023 at 3 a.m. It will be necessary to subtract 60 minutes from legal time. It will then be 2 o'clock.
The time change was introduced in France following the oil crisis of 1973-1974. Since 1998, time change dates have been harmonized within the European Union. In all member countries, the changeover to summer time takes place on the last Sunday in March.
and the change to winter time on the last Sunday in October,
As this system is increasingly contested by citizens and a growing number of member states, an online consultation on the end of the time change was launched by the European Affairs Committee of the National Assembly in 2019. It received 2,103,999 responses.
According to this consultation, 61.16% of participants had a negative or very negative experience of the time change and 83.71% wanted to put an end to it. If the system was removed, 59.17% of respondents chose to stay permanently on summer time.
On March 26, 2019, MEPs voted to abolish the seasonal time change. This reform should take effect in 2021 after the choice of time (summer or winter) by each EU member state.
To date, given the current situation, everything is called into question, the file is found under the pile, certainly for several years.

Thanks for visiting, enjoy each day.
They sing little songs in little verses, harmonize in little choruses.
They sing the earth and sky, the sun and rain.
They live close to the ground and if you're not listening, you could walk right by.
And they'd keep singing.
I'm off for the weekend. Have a good one.
Invisible light streams down on meadows, woods, and ponds, lending a glow to tattered things.
Infrared is definitely different in winter and early spring. The dominant foliage that is so striking in summer and fall just isn't there, and other things show. At the same time, the restricted palette somehow covers the damage of winter ice and wind, and by harmonizing color reveals forms and patterns.
...It splashes,
crashes, breaks,
roars, laughs, sings,
harmonizes, discords,
welcomes and fuses all
the sharp dissonances
in its deep
volume,
free and beautiful,
numerous and mad,
powerful and sweet,
a living creature
that enjoys
its fleeting
mystery... (D'annunzio)
There is a place on Earth where I live. Every week, new types of images are created in the sky, as a result of changes in the circulation of atmospheric fronts - such an avenue of changes that gives an extraordinary variety of situations and great dynamics of changes. Yesterday, the wind had painted the sky with clouds and harmonized with the movement of the coastal reeds. In the quiet bay of the lake you can see a duck that protects itself from strong winds and rests after fighting it.
It is true that many great landscape photographers say that you do not have to go anywhere, but be careful in your observations of everyday life which is extraordinary in every place.
The largest sanctuary complex of Gerasa today extends from the eastern fence of the archaeological site to the temple of Artemis on the far west, which makes about 320 meters. Originally, a via sacra ran from the residential quarters in the eastern part of the city across a bridge (no longer exists) over the Chrysorhoas (Wadi Jerash), through the elongated eastern and the imposing western Propylaea at the Cardo, ascending the wide staircase to the Temenos courtyard with the temple. Through the staggering of the harmonized buildings, the processional way to the sanctuary of the city goddess of Gerasa was grandiosely staged.
From when on the Artemis sanctuary was built is not documented. A dedicatory inscription on the western Propylaea on the Cardo gives the year 150 AD for the completion of this section. In view of the enormous expenditure for such preliminary work alone, such as the bridge over the wadi, retaining walls, excavations, barrel-vaulted substructures for terraces, the hauling of large quantities of stones, etc., the plans and the start of construction must be estimated much earlier. Artemis coins on the occasion of Emperor Hadrian's visit to Gerasa in 129/30 AD may have been minted in reference to such a construction project (Lichtenberger, p. 200). It far surpassed the previously dominant sanctuary of Zeus and was of fundamental importance for the urban development of the city. "With the erection of this new complex, which served cultic concerns, but also trade and commerce, grandeur and the claim of public self-expression found new expression."

Vicenza is a city to be discovered in every detail, in each of its alleys, and which one should admire from the very first moment. One of the most beautiful cities of Veneto and Italy, where the architecture perfectly harmonizes with the city structure: palazzi, villas, monuments and churches that complete the image of the city.

I have been trying to figure out if there is any way to ensure that images in a composite will work together. I think that one key is making sure that the colors harmonize. The last image had almost no color and metallic elements. In this case, creating a selective color image of the chameleon helped the other two elements to work better with the Chameleon.

Tower Bridge is the most famous building in London, built in the Victorian style. Its history began in 1872, when the English Parliament passed an act to build a second bridge over the Thames. However, a condition was set that the style of the bridge should harmonize with the style of the castle. It is a drawbridge near the "Tower of London", where it gets its name.
The bridge was completed in 1894; it allows the passage of ocean-going ships up to about 40.5 m above the water level.
A characteristic element of the bridge are two main towers, connected at the top by two pedestrian bridges.

Jest to most zwodzony w pobliżu "Tower of London", skąd bierze swą nazwę.
Budowę mostu ukończono w 1894 roku; umożliwia przepływanie statków oceanicznych do około 40,5 m wysokości powyżej poziomu wody.
Charakterystycznym elementem mostu są dwie wieże główne, połączone u góry dwoma pomostami dla pieszych.
A view looking northeast from the Capitol grounds toward the Illinois State Library. S. 2nd Street is in the foreground with E. Capitol Ave. heading eastward on the right.
The Illinois State Library was designed by the Chicago architectural firm of Graham, Anderson, Probst and White to harmonize with the other buildings in Springfield's Capitol complex. Construction began in late 1985 and was completed in 1990 at a cost of $36 million.
The exterior features Indiana limestone set over a base of granite highlighted by a fourth-floor frieze etched with the names of 35 of Illinois' most distinguished authors. Among those whose names have been etched in granite are Ernest Hemingway, Carl Sandberg, Upton Sinclair, Jane Addams, L. Frank Baum, Ray Bradbury, and Abraham Lincoln. Each of the 35 authors whose name is etched in stone has made a mark in the history of literature as well as the history of Illinois.
On June 6, 2003, the Illinois State Library building was rededicated and named in honor of the late poet, novelist and lecturer Gwendolyn Brooks Born in 1917, she is regarded as one of the most influential poets of the 20th century, and was the first African-American to win the Pulitzer Prize. In 1968, she was named Illinois Poet Laureate, succeeding Carl Sandburg, and served in that capacity until her death in 2000.
The Illinois State Library was conceived in 1839 by Secretary of State, Stephen A. Douglas. Over the years it has been housed in the Old State Capitol Building, current State Capitol Building, Centennial Building, and now this building. Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, dedicated in 1889, can also be seen in this photo on the left.

On the lateral accesses in the front facade, two Towers stand out: North and South. Both have the same characteristics: quadrangular base, and are located symmetrically with respect to the center of the facade arch. However, these are inconclusive, as two sections and their respective points are missing. The original proposals of these missing parts are of Gothic characteristics.
Inside, the vertical guideline dominates the space, in which large windows with semicircular arches open. All this harmonizes with the rest of the building. Additionally, the Towers were designed to house bells, clocks and vertical connectors. This would connect the Side Ships with the East Choir and with the Santa Ana Terrace.

Bridge of straight sections of reinforced concrete, covered by motric stone and pink marble, with decorative elements of modernist style. Built on large pillars, from which the six characteristic lanterns that contain this work its marked personality.
At the beginning of the 20th century. The city council supports the construction of a third bridge over the Urumea "in which solidity and resistance are harmonized with the monumentality and beauty of the whole".
Engineer Ribera presented the City Council with an important modification: the Zurriola bridge, initially with arches, will be built with straight sections.
On August 14, 1921, a large audience attended the inauguration.
The metal balustrade and the obelisks that act as lampposts are the work of Victor Arana. The four bronze sphinxes belong to the 1993 reform. They are 120 meters long, like the Santa Catalina bridge, with which it maintains a certain harmony of lines and is somewhat larger than the María Cristina Bridge, which is 100 meters long.
