Dreams become goals when you believe in yourself and they become true when you put your faith, soul and efforts in all you do, when you keep going and fighting for what you want in life, when you are willing to learn from everything and get up stronger, wiser and even more determined after each fall or hardship. Always keep hoping, believing, growing, improving yourself and your mindset, be grateful and keep your happiness and standards close to your heart regardless of anyone else or anything you go through.

* I took this shot following a good meal at one of my favourite hotels in France . The La Chaîne d’Or is situated in the little town Les Andelys in Normandy. The Hotels setting is quiet and charming and its literally right on the edge of the Seine.
So it was no hardship after dinner to step on to the river bank with a camera and watch the sky light up the river . Good French cuisine and wine in a tranquil setting plus a sunset . It appeared that I threw a six that day
THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH. ANYONE MAKING MULTIPLE FAVES WITHOUT COMMENTS WILL SIMPLY BE BLOCKED
This is a rather poor image technically, and the pylon spoiled everything. So I'm posting temporarily, until I manage to get a better shot. But I like the action and it shows the hardships that eagles have to endure once they catch the fish. I can confirm that the eagle at the top, who caught the fish, was able to fend off his challengers and got to enjoy his lunch.
you love very much, in the beginning you can't bear it, but as the years go by, the pain of losing them is what reminds you so vividly of them — that they were alive :-)

In these days, many will not know life as they once did.
My heart goes out to those that have, and will, lose loved ones. And to those who are struggling everyday because of this dreaded disease. The hardships and sorrows are unthinkable.
I pray for comfort to those who are in need ♥♥

I made so many mistakes in trying to become a better person. Maybe I will never succeed. But when I'm dying, I'll know that I've tried it from the bottom of my heart.
From my original photo taken in Brittany in 2007.
Vitré is a town located in the Ille-et-Vilaine department of Brittany, France. It has a population of approximately 20,000 people and is known for its medieval architecture, including a castle, ramparts, and half-timbered houses.
During World War II, Vitré was occupied by German forces and its residents experienced hardships and restrictions imposed by the occupying army. The town saw heavy fighting between the German army and the Allies, and was eventually liberated by American forces in August 1944.
The people of Vitré played a significant role in the resistance movement during the war, and their sacrifices and efforts are remembered and honored to this day.

It was such a wonderful feeling. Riding on a hot-air balloon, slowly rising up in the air, watching all the other balloons moving slowly up, seeing the morning light shining on the valley, wonder whether it is real or a dream or watching a movie. Everyone riding in the ballon basket were so joyful. We forgot the hardship of waking up at 4:00am, It got paid off with the unforgettable experience.
We Northern Californians have been lashed with rain and snow of late. This weekend we're expecting an atmospheric river event that will undoubtedly lead to lots of flooding, and with it, hardship for many.
Still, in the midst of nature's calamities there are always beautiful moments. Here is a shot from my front porch on a quiet and serene snowy night. The warm glow from my neighbor's house across the road is a comforting sight.

Today in Smile on Saturday the subject is not so much a smile as it is compassion. To feel the pain of others, to try and understand this hardship. So it is Blue For You - ME 2021....so for this a empty blue seating in a stadium. Shot taken in the outfield curve of the stadium at Drillers Stadium ONEOK Field, Tulsa OKlahoma.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

The little man imagines a brighter future…
Skippy envisioned his universe with the help of the following:
Killer's Productions' Old Train Wagon!
Soy's Rusty Pipe Bed!
THOR's Wandering Mug, Hanging Crate, and Candle Holder!
And the little dreamer wears:
Contraption's Labourer's Cap, which is available at The Men's Dept. (TMD)!
Train to The Mens Dept. (TMD)!
Let's keep building a community founded on kindness and compassion.
Let's remember to do our part to help the less fortunate among us.
Let's envision a brighter future for all.
Keep shining bright, my friends!
Property of the Crown, then royal residence, Chenonceau Castle is an exceptional site not only because of its original design, the richness of its collections, its furniture and its decorations, but also because of its destiny, since it was loved, administrated and protected by women, who were all extraordinary and who, for the most part have marked history.
For the historical background, the “Château des Dames” was built in 1513 by Katherine Briçonnet, and successively embellished by Diane de Poitiers then Catherine de Medici. Chenonceau was protected from the hardship of the revolution by Madame Dupin.
The iron, but very feminine, fist in the velvet glove has always preserved Chenonceau during times of conflict and war in order to make it forever a place of peace.
Chenonceau Castle has an exceptional museum collection of the Old Masters’ paintings: Murillo, Le Tintoret, Nicolas Poussin, Le Corrège, Rubens, Le Primatice, Van Loo... as well as an extremely rare selection of Flanders Tapestries from the 16th century.
Throughout its history, this emblematic Castle has always attracted talent and inspired great artists. Conveying beauty and combining the elegance of architecture with that of the spirit is also sharing an elegant way of life.
At Chenonceau Castle, the flower display in every sumptuously furnished room adds to its elegance. The room of Five Queens, the living room of Louis XIV, the grand gallery overlooking the River Cher, fabulous kitchens constructed in the piers of the bridge, the Green Cabinet of Catherine de Medici...Step by step, Chenonceau takes you back in time to share its dreams and reveal its secrets.
Life is full of ups and downs. It's the down part that tears at your soul. My sweet kittie ET has a tumor on the right side of his face. It is and will continue to cause great hardship to him and will take him away very soon. We'll make the very best of what time he has left. Almost 19 years with a great friend will make it difficult to say goodbye but it will happen and I will have to bid him farewell and walk him to the last moment and breath. I consider it a painful honor to be his companion on this last journey. Taking some time off from Flickr. Thank you all so much for your support.

"Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is the longest running floral event of its kind in Australia as the premiere celebration of flowers, food, wine, culture.
Since its inception in 1949, the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers has flourished and is now an iconic Queensland event.
The brainchild of Essex Tait and the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce, Carnival was created as a way for the city to use its “Garden City” reputation to promote increased economic activity following the hardships of WWII.
On 21 October 1950 the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers commenced with a street procession that stretched three miles in length. Led by a bullock team and watched by a crowd estimated to be 50,000 strong, it was a resounding success.
Our tour hit a lot of National Parks in Arizona, Colorado, and Utah, and spent a lot of time on the road. The first contact with the Grand Canyon was here, on the South Rim at Grand Canyon Village. Flickr has a lot of commentary on the hardships associated with landscape photography, but none of that applies to this first photo I took of the canyon. I saw only a few places along the rim here that would not be accessible by wheelchair, due to stairs on observation platforms.

I wasn't going to make any posts. I intended to do a basic effort. I'd want to wish everyone a happy 2023 and write a regular post. But I got a bit carried away. Despite the recent chaos and hardship of life, I still wanted to take a moment for you.
Additionally, I didn't want to be corny, but New Years is all about being cheesy, so I can't avoid it.
I would like to take a moment to thank you all for being by my side and making my day better. Recently, things have been a little gloomy but also necessary, and you're always there to brighten my day with a funny or humorous post, your blog posts, or whatever.
The cliché part is now.
I desire for you to be in excellent health in 2023 because you can't really do anything without it. I also hope that you will be able to fulfill all of your wishes and achieve all of your ambitions in every aspect of your life, including your career, personal relationships or work in yourself, and love life.
So, my dear friends, here's wishing you all a magnificent year and nothing but joy in these new chapters of your lives.
Thank you and I adore you all.
I sincerely appreciate you being there ❤

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
We have to find love and if we look around us at the beauty that surrounds us, surely we can feel the positive vibes and share them. Here in Florida, we have many beautiful flowers, as does the whole world, but it is so important to recognize, appreciate, enjoy, and share our feelings of the wealth of beauty we have. We need to change from division to inclusion, and love and respect one another.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

This is one of the few areas that was saved from the vast "hardships" of the long drought, above all thanks to the strong temperature range which determines a considerable accumulation of dew almost every clear night.
On average, we are dealing with 0.2/0.5mm of water every night, which means about 10/15mm per month, clearly superficial, but so much so that they were sufficient to keep this markedly continental area green (micro-climate, despite being only 50km from Trieste).
The geography of the area (a vast concave plateau) and the morphology of the terrain (mainly porous karst, clayey impermeable only in the lower areas) allow temperature ranges which in spring can exceed 30°C, with lows close to 0°C even in June (rarely) and September (as in the photo) and the absolute minimums are below -30°C from December to March, -21°C in April (the only very recent cold record, 7 April 2021), which is the lowest value for April ever and for the whole of Slovenia, including the mountain stations.
Middle of our family forest there is a spot where there is leaf trees when everywhere else there is just evergreens. This place is pretty far from everyone else and there wasn't even a proper road.
And once this place house home and a family, but living here alone was rough. There were many hardships and finally even the house burned down. Now there is nothing else left than fresh forest with leafy trees. With time those trees will be overtaken by evergreens.
Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.

This close-up portrait captures the face of an elderly woman from a modest village in Pakistan. Her weathered, wrinkled skin and deep eyes are evidence of a life filled with hardships. Despite the challenges she has faced, she remains resilient and strong, serving as an inspiration to others.
"They say beauty comes from a spirit that has weathered many hardships in life and somehow continues with resilience.
Grace can be found in a soul who ages softly, even amid the tempest,
I think the loveliest by far is the one whose gentle heart bears a hundred scars from caring, yet still finds a way to pick up the lamp, one more time, to light the way for love"

Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and heightened devotion and worship. Muslims are expected to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam. The fast (sawm) begins at dawn and ends at sunset. In addition to abstaining from eating and drinking during this time, Muslims abstain from sexual relations[3] and sinful speech and behaviour during Ramadan fasting or month. The act of fasting is said to redirect the heart away from worldly activities, its purpose being to cleanse the soul by freeing it from harmful impurities. Muslims believe that Ramadan teaches them to practice self-discipline, self-control,[62] sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate, thus encouraging actions of generosity and compulsory charity (zakat).[63]
Muslims also believe fasting helps instill compassion for the food-insecure poor.[64]
Exemptions to fasting include travel, menstruation, severe illness, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. However, many Muslims with medical conditions[vague][who?] insist on fasting to satisfy their spiritual needs, although it is not recommended by hadith.[58] Those unable to fast are obligated to make up the missed days later.
Ramadan (Arabic: رَمَضَان, romanized: Ramaḍān [ra.ma.dˤaːn]),[a] also spelled Ramazan, Ramzan, Ramadhan or Ramathan, is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar,[9] observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting (sawm), prayer, reflection and community.[10] A commemoration of Muhammad's first revelation,[11] the annual observance of Ramadan is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam[12] and lasts twenty-nine to thirty days, from one sighting of the crescent moon to the next.[13][14]
Fasting from sunrise to sunset is fard (obligatory) for all adult Muslims who are not acutely or chronically ill, travelling, elderly, breastfeeding, diabetic, or menstruating.[15] The predawn meal is referred to as suhur, and the nightly feast that breaks the fast is called iftar.[16][17] Although fatwas have been issued declaring that Muslims who live in regions with a midnight sun or polar night should follow the timetable of Mecca,[18] it is common practice to follow the timetable of the closest country in which night can be distinguished from day.[19][20][21]
The spiritual rewards (thawab) of fasting are believed to be multiplied during Ramadan.[22] Accordingly, Muslims refrain not only from food and drink, but also tobacco products, sexual relations, and sinful behavior,[23][24] devoting themselves instead to salat (prayer) and recitation of the Quran.
The word Ramadan derives from the Arabic root R-M-Ḍ (ر-م-ض) "scorching heat"[27], which is the Classical Arabic verb "ramidha (رَمِضَ)" meaning "become intensely hot – become burning; become scorching; be blazing; be glowing".
Ramadan is thought as one of the names of God in Islam by some, and as such it is reported in many hadiths that it is prohibited to say only "Ramadan" in reference to the calendar month and that it is necessary to say "month of Ramadan", as reported in Sunni,[28][29][30][31][32][33][34] Shia[35][36][37][38][39][40] and Zaydi[41] sources.
In the Persian language, the Arabic letter ض (Ḍād) is pronounced as /z/. The Muslim communities in some countries with historical Persian influence, such as Azerbaijan, Iran, India, Pakistan and Turkey, use the word Ramazan or Ramzan. The word Romzan is used in Bangladesh.
The month of Ramadan is that in which was revealed the Quran; a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the criterion (of right and wrong). And whosoever of you is present, let him fast the month, and whosoever of you is sick or on a journey, a number of other days. Allah desires for you ease; He desires not hardship for you; and that you should complete the period, and that you should magnify Allah for having guided you, and that perhaps you may be thankful.[Quran 2:185]
Muslims hold that all scripture was revealed during Ramadan, the scrolls of Abraham, Torah, Psalms, Gospel, and Quran having been handed down on the first, sixth, twelfth, thirteenth (in some sources, eighteenth)[42] and twenty-fourth Ramadans,[year needed] respectively.[43][self-published source] Muhammed is said to have received his first quranic revelation on Laylat al-Qadr, one of five odd-numbered nights that fall during the last ten days of Ramadan.[44]
Although Muslims were first commanded to fast in the second year of Hijra (624 CE),[43] they believe that the practice of fasting is not in fact an innovation of monotheism[45] but rather has always been necessary for believers to attain taqwa (the fear of God).[46][Quran 2:183] They point to the fact that the pre-Islamic pagans of Mecca fasted on the tenth day of Muharram to expiate sin and avoid drought.[47][self-published source] Philip Jenkins argues that the observance of Ramadan fasting grew out of "the strict Lenten discipline of the Syrian Churches," a postulation corroborated by other scholars, including theologian Paul-Gordon Chandler,[48][49] but disputed by some Muslim academics.

♫ The Wolven Storm - Priscilla's Song ✨
To bind our fortunes, damn what the stars own
Rend my heart open, then your love profess
A winding, weaving fate to which we both atone
You flee my dream come the morning
Your scent, berries tart, lilac sweet
To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy
Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep
The wolf I will follow into the storm
To find your heart, its passion displaced
By ire ever growing, hardening into stone
Amidst the cold to hold you in a heated embrace
You flee my dream come the morning
Your scent, berries tart, lilac sweet
To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy
Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep
I know not if fate would have us live as one
Or if by love's blind chance we've been bound
The wish I whispered when it all began
Did it forge a love you might never have found?
You flee my dream come the morning
Your scent, berries tart, lilac sweet
To dream of raven locks entwisted, stormy
Of violet eyes, glistening as you weep

We as humanity always desire to get to the finish line without hardship. We may desire to have some elements of challenge, or maybe none at all, but if we are entirely honest, we never really do reach the finish line the way we expect to. Life has a way of throwing unexpected changes at us, many we may not even know how to handle. That is why life is a journey not a sprint. In order to receive the prize at the finish, we don't take the easy or at least what seems to be easiest route. What may seem to be the easiest way can also be the most destructive. Look at what happens when we live solely off of our feelings. Could you imagine what would happen every time someone gets cut off in traffic. Doing what is right is not always easy, in fact, most of the time it is not. The broad path leads to destruction, but the narrow path leads to life and a life that can not be taken away!

The world has undergone collective trauma through this pandemic.
We all have suffered, lost someone and witnessed loss and hardship.
I find great comfort in this deeply beautiful song, whose lyrics are the famous poem by Chilean poet Violeta Parra.
We always have something to give thanks for. Life can be brutal , but also remains incredibly beautiful and precious.
A long abandoned cottage in Connemara, West of Ireland. The hearth grown cold; its people moved on; their hardships forgotten.
