I was asking the people on the boat to pose for my photo as I was clicking with my DSLR.
on listening to it the people on the boat said our mobile phone is better than your DSLR😄😄🙏
We were just two of the visitors not privileged enough to live here but fortunate enough to be able breathe the same air and soak up the same atmosphere as those lucky enough to - of that, which is Gwithian....I have always been so thankful for that. It feels almost like a transfusion that has to last us till the next visit....

Siem Reap (rural): Happy Cyclists.
Poverty, the border conflict with Thailand and gasoline price hikes don't seem to worry the young Cambodians. The smiles of these two cyclists typify rural Cambodia. They passed me and then came back to have me take a photograph. At the time, it was 38 degrees Celsius.

Prospect Point is a point at the northern tip of Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, located on the south side of the First Narrows of Burrard Inlet. The point, which as its name suggests, is a viewpoint, landmark and tourist attraction in Stanley Park and has a restaurant and other facilities, is just west of the Lions Gate Bridge.

History of this place
Times Square is a major commercial intersection in central Manhattan at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. It acquired its name in 1904 when Albert Ochs, publisher of The New York Times, moved the newspaper's headquarters to a new skyscraper on what was then known as Longacre Square. The name stuck, even after The New York Times moved across Broadway in 1913.
Longacre Square started with a few brownstones built by a developer who saw potential for a new "uptown" neighborhood. Following the area's development, people moved to the square in droves, and with them came brothels, pickpockets, and streetwalkers. Soon, in a foreshadowing of its later fate, the area turned into a veritable red-light district. In 1895, Longacre Square had a new tenant, Oscar Hammerstein I, who developed a large entertainment complex in the hopes of rekindling an interest in opera. This complex, called the Olympia, occupied a full block on 42nd Street and featured three theaters.
During this time, many new theaters opened on the Great White Way, so named for Broadway's famous light show. The vaudeville circuit found success along with legitimate theater. In 1904, The New York Times held a New Year's Eve event to celebrate their relocation to Longacre Square. Their building was then the second tallest in Manhattan and became the symbol for a new, vibrant era of opportunity. Every year since this first celebration, millions of people have gathered for the well-known and much anticipated ball drop ceremony.

Siem Reap: A Provincial Smile.
I went with my Cambodian friend (ex-student of mine) to see one of his family's bird houses (more about this in the next photograph - think bird's nest soup) in provincial Siem Reap. I stood out on the dirt road in front of the property, in 38+ degree heat, and couldn't resist this capture. The further you go from Siem Reap city, the friendliness of the locals is apparent. Also, Cambodians are very sun smart.
Went for a walk to a favorite location today and there are always people looking for an Instagram moment. These two were no exception. I'm sure the young lady saw me with camera in hand and I wondered if she put on that cutesy pose for her partner or to poke a little fun at me. Either way, it was fun to see happy people enjoying the moment.
A wedding ceremony in Rajhastan to which local farmers drive with a decorated tractor.
They are in full embiance, with flowers, plants and loud music.
The tractor that came from the field was the only transport option.
October 2022 and spring is in full on mode.
Bringing the locals out for some evening sun, and fun, in the Park..

At Gare Saint-Lazare and the rest of the major Paris train stations there are pianos placed for people to do what they want with them.
In this photo people on their way to a train just joined in with the pianist to sing "Back To Black" by Amy Winehouse. The phone in the foreground is from one of the singers and placed in front of me in case I'd changed my mind about snapping photos and decided to sing along.

At least I think it is a Fairy Parade. I was walking in the Jardin des plantes, heard the flute and drums and then they walked past me waving and smiling.
