A shot from La Grange, Texas. So different from the hill country where I live. But, still pretty in its own way.
I signed up with Airbnb and I have my first people coming on Friday. However, I have discovered a down side to Airbnb. They report all your income to the IRS..;( I didn't see that coming. So, I'm still listing room mate wanted in the newspapers..:).
OK, I couldn't find 3 bunnies eating grass in front of a church..:) I hope this will do. I turned my car around so I could go back and take this shot. As you can see, the deer couldn't care less. I told them to look up because I was going to make them famous..Nothing..:) Hope you have a Happy Easter

..lol..You had to know I took more than one drive by fence shot..;).However, I think this is the last one I'll post. They others don't do as much for me. This one didn't either until I ran it through Topaz Studio.
I've noticed, that every time I drop a blueberry or a grape on the kitchen floor, it rolls under the refrigerator or the stove. So, since it happens every time, I decided it must be one of those universal rules that aren't written down, but we all know they exist. Maybe, some one should be writing them down. That way we'll have a list and when something happens we can just say, "Oh, that's a rule, don't you know."
There was an art festival going on while I was at the coast. I had forgotten that Rockport was an art community. After taking this pic I went and walked around the in side and was really impressed by the work of so many artist. However, most of it was paintings. I hate the fact that people to recognize photography as art. Sure there was some photography work but selling for so much less than the paintings.
Other than that..;) The festival was fun. There was live music, lots of different foods and of course, the rides. I didn't go on the rides..:)
I have not great skills in Photoshop, but just for fun I tried to make a card for Halloween.
I hope you have a great time on this eccentric day. Unfortunately Halloween is not part of our culture, but I admit that in recent years Brazilians are trying to introduce, unofficially, this celebration in our calendar :)
I took advantage of it being dark on the way to work today and pulled over to take this shot.

Not every boat goes out in the morning I guess. And, maybe it can't. Because of the high tide it's hard to see the fence part. Plus, it's not much of a fence..;)
Hope all my American contacts had a wonderful Thanksgiving and everyone have a wonderful weekend. I have to work Friday and Saturday but I'm taking a week off Yay!
It's starting to look a lot like Christmas..:)) Christmas light shows are everywhere this time of year.
The cold weather has hit this place. We don't get show, just the cold and windy at times.
OK, I was mistaken..;) I had one more picture of Webberville city park..:) So, this one is actually the last one. The weekend wasn't a total loss. I did manage to take on shot that was worth posting and I'll probably post it during the week. And, I have one video I was going to post for Halloween.

I do a lot of architecture photos because architecture interesting and I not very creative so it's easy..;) I don't find animal or people pictures very interesting.
Anyway, this is another business in Dripping Springs, Texas.
After working at a rental shop in East Texas while in college, Buddy recognized a need in his hometown of Dripping Springs. Started from scratch and supported by word of mouth, Dripping Springs Rental Center has been providing fine rental equipment to the hill country for almost 14 years.
Good thing we have flickr. Our connection to the outside world..;) For a big bird, Sea Gulls don't like to be in a space where they don't have a 360 view. At least from what I can tell. I was trying to be a little creative here and only focused on the bench.
I'm taking a couple of days off this week. I don't have anything planed, just trying to use up my vacation time before the first of the year.

This looks like a really simple shot and processing, but believe me, it wasn't. I shot it from across the harbor and it was so dark I couldn't really see what I was shooting. It took about 10 shots to get the one I wanted and about 10 attempts in Topaz Studio to get it looking the way I wanted.
I'm leaving in the morning to go back to the coast, so I should be packing but I decided to wash a load of clothes first..Crazy. Anyway, I can't check in until 3.

One would think, with all those benches that it was the place to be for sunset or sunrise but no one was there when I was. Maybe on the weekends. Speaking of which, I hope every one had a great weekend. It's makes the work week easier to face ..;)

I only have 2 of these shots left..:) And, with the weather like it is, I may have to wait a while.
I knew the cold was coming so I stayed in town at an AbAb so I wouldn't have to drive in from the hill country. Good thing too. I had to get off the freeway because my defrosters couldn't keep the ice off the windshield. I drive a convertible, so the inside never got really warm either.It got to 21 with a wind chill of 14. My face was burning from the short time I was exposed. I don't see how you cold winter people do it every year.
Hungry, but not for human food...

I took this on Sunday after my hike was rained out. On the way home it stopped raining so I started looking around for something to shoot.
I rarely bracket my shots, but I did on this one because I was trying to pull the clouds into the shot. I think it makes the image look heavy.
This place was a gas station, of course, but than it became a Mexican food restaurant but the food was so bad that it didn't last long. Now, a bus company, Mega Bus, wants to use it as a place to pickup and drop off there passengers. The city isn't to excited about it.
Rhododendrons are ornamental shrubs with bell-shaped flowers and wide, evergreen leaves. They can be difficult plants to grow as they require specific conditions to flourish. Rhododendrons prefer well-draining, acidic soil and thrive in dappled shade with mild temperatures.
