Happened to see these two by the side of the road as I was driving by. Did a quick turn around found a place to park and got a few images. I pretty much always have a camera in the car with me as I find it comes in handy at time like this.

There's something about mushrooms that always makes me think of magic and fairies. Not seen one yet though... :-(

One of my recent in-camera monochromes with the helios lens, but given a slight creative twist for fun. (Produced by adding coloured pixel layers and using blend ranges to restrict the colours to just the highlights. With a bit of masking to get the colours where I wanted them. [The colours were purposefully kept really subtle, so don't worry if you miss them!] )

I just can't see it anymore.

It's exhausting.

It's not fun.

It upsets me that what came so easily is now so difficult.

I only have one left and I'm lucky to have it.

I'm sorry.

I'm in a bad place, but will leave in time.

Until then, maybe this will help move something along.

I love the Oregon coast, and I also love being in the forest, so here, I was in the forest on the Oregon coast. I find that being in a forest, I immediately feel a sense of calm and oneness with nature, and am in awe of everything around me. When I try to capture that on camera, it's never what I experienced, so have a hard time working with any of my forest images. The magic happens when I'm there, but it doesn't seem to look the same on the screen. Oh well....

I wasn't able to be online much the past couple of days, so most likely, you only received faves from me. I'll try to remedy that today. Have a lovely Monday!

Les richesses matérielles aide au Bonheur, mais ce n'est pas le Bonheur.. Moi je m'en Fou de gagner peu ou beaucoup , l'important c' est ce que je cultive à l'intérieur de mon jardin et que je partage à l'extérieur.... mais il est vrai que si je suis la seule à partager mon Intérieur... et bien je n'aurai rien à partager avec ceux qui sont différent de moi, qui sont fermés et ne disent jamais ce qu'ils pensent.

l'Orgueil, un ego surdimensionné, l'avidité, la vanité, le mensonge et la fausseté ne font pas partie de ma vie. Et je ne suis même pas là pour la supporter ! lol !.

so here it all happened... i walked humbly in the front zoo gates, as a little school kid would, anticipating the most wondrous of things.. came across mountain goats, soon a silverback gorilla, and then this tall and gentle giant, an African giraffe. so very tall i think it a statue; and so you see it came to wonderful life, turning from stone into flesh - at that very moment, my heart 'burst' out the chest and the tears stream down the face. creation has then stunned me with her beauty and i devoted myself to the faith from this very day. thank you flickr friends, because it was you, who led me there...

began by reading the bible on daily basis and this then helped me through countless trials and tribulations. now i'm a regular church attender, my sister, who lives in Cape Town, she too now follows in the faith. we need it.
