Not so long ago, poor Tiny lost his brother, Kafara so he's now on his own in a new enclosure. He was completely at one with the universe when I took this shot.
This 'lil guy sure knew the value of shade.

There was no laundry duty for Peg this day, and so she hungout with her friend and made the most of the rain.
We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.
Misery loves company it would seem in this scene in tiny Woosung,IL. Or maybe, underneath a tree at a long abandoned house is a GOOD place to park an old truck....Have a great truck Thursday all!
The Canon EF70-200mm F/2.8L IS II USM is a fast lens, most used for wedding photography. Although it can't shoot like a macro lens; but I like to use it for close-up nature photos. You can capture a bit of 'wildlife' along with the beautiful blooms. Its 8-blade circular aperture delivers foreground/background blur quality that is renowned.
Here are some of my tips:
- Due to the weight of this lens and its focal length, the camera shake could reduce sharpness. Steady hand and holding your breath while shooting as I don't use tripod.
- Control depth of field as narrow as possible by setting the lens aperture to maximum, i.e. f/2.8.
- Position the subject closer or increase the distance between the subject and the background.
- Shooting in soft and warm light. Backlighting can really bring subjects with fine details to life and intensify the foreground/background bokeh.

Found these two Cicada skins today and although they aren't really pretty or cute, I just loved that they had shed their skins right next to each other. A bit of Cicada love for Valentines Day this weekend.
Siesta. A young couple sampling some skunk weed mid-day on a Sunday. BTW, the folks here are taking some chances... Directly below their feet is a 35 foot (12meter) straight drop into a shallow stream with large boulders and concrete rubble directly below. ...Stay safe up there.
It seems like everyone was hanging out at Kakabeka Falls, yesterday

For 122 Pictures in 2022 #40 "Hanging out", this guy seems to like hanging out where he might get a free fish. Texas State Parks that have places to fish provide cleaning stations so you can just carry the fillets home. This one is at Choke Canyon State Park, which has an approximately 25,000 acre reservoir (when full), and lots of boaters/fisherman make use of it. It is on the Frio River and the reservoir is managed by the city of Corpus Christi, which uses it as one of two water sources. It is a bit over an hour drive from downtown Corpus Christi.
It's a little disconcerting that these buzzards are sitting on a tower right next to the Nursing Home! I counted 15 total.
