On July 2, Sherman College students had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of upper cervical chiropractic during a special hands-on EPIC (Evolutionary Percussive Instrument Corrections) workshop led by Dr. Theodossis.
The day began with a classroom discussion highlighting key takeaways before students transitioned to the Chiropractic Center for interactive learning. Rotating through small groups, students participated in hands-on upper cervical examination protocols with Dr. Pierce and an X-ray setup workshop with Dr. Theodossis, gaining practical experience with the specialized procedures used in upper cervical care.
The EPIC technique utilizes advanced sound wave technology to deliver precise, gentle adjustments to the atlas and axis without manual twisting or popping, providing students with insight into an innovative approach to upper cervical chiropractic.
Thank you to Dr. Theodossis and Dr. Pierce for sharing their expertise and providing students with valuable hands-on experience that reinforces Sherman College's commitment to excellence in chiropractic education.
