Shadow Face is an abstract portrait where light and darkness merge to give shape to a fleeting and poetic presence.
Cyanotype on watercolor paper.
Making things is such nice way to distract myself and to create beauty in my world. The creation of beauty, being both its birth mother and its midwife, is a part of the answer to some of life’s most existential questions. Plus, the process of making this piece, of cutting the prints and weaving them together, noticing the delightful texture of this paper between my fingers, all of that is calming and grounding. I hope that you’re able to embrace the things that soothe and give you hope during this strange time in our lives.
Toned cyanotype

The strange hat dates back to the Thirties while the 2 Vintage purses I used in this styling are from the Sixties with some intervoven chainmails & rodoid modular disks as a starting point. The stereoscopic photo is almost wholly painted on.

“Kyiv Girl” is a deeply atmospheric mixed-media portrait inspired by the spirit and architecture of Kyiv. The composition merges feminine presence with fragments of the city’s iconic skyline, where golden domes softly emerge through layered textures and pastel light.
The female figure appears partially veiled in honeycomb-like mesh and translucent materials, symbolizing memory, protection, and fragile resilience. Her calm, introspective gaze contrasts with the richly textured surface built from acrylic paint, gauze, fabric elements, and structural pastes. These materials create a sculptural relief that gives the artwork dimensional depth and tactile complexity.
Soft shades of lavender, muted gold, blush pink, and warm earth tones blend together, evoking both nostalgia and quiet strength. The architectural silhouettes in the background dissolve into abstraction, reinforcing the connection between identity and place.
This original artwork reflects themes of femininity, cultural heritage, and inner endurance. It is a one-of-a-kind piece, created using the artist’s signature layering technique that combines painting and collage into a harmonious, textured surface.
The painting will make a meaningful statement in contemporary, classic, or art-focused interiors, adding both elegance and emotional depth to the space.
Photo Encaustic mixed media piece created inside an old cigarette case that I happened to find. The butterfly was a serendipitous find. She was lying on the sidewalk as I was walking home from the grocery store one afternoon. Each image in this box is 3” x 3.5”.

"Spring Maiden" is a mixed-media portrait that embodies quiet anticipation and inner renewal. The female figure, crowned with sculptural, hand-formed flowers, appears suspended between seasons — where the last cool breath of winter meets the first promise of warmth.
The work is created using the artist’s signature layered technique, combining acrylic and oil with texture pastes and fabric elements. Built with expressive palette-knife strokes, the surface is richly tactile and multidimensional. Light interacts with the relief differently throughout the day, revealing hidden nuances in color and form.
The floral crown symbolizes resilience and rebirth. Though the tones remain muted and contemplative, subtle warmth emerges within the skin and petals — a visual metaphor for hope awakening beneath stillness.
This original artwork is a statement piece for collectors who appreciate textured surfaces, emotional portraiture, and contemporary mixed-media techniques. It brings depth, softness, and poetic atmosphere into both modern and classic interiors.

his unique representation is deliberately abstract, with a face emerging almost casually from the surrounding forms. The composition evokes the image of a tree trunk seamlessly integrated with the human figure. The same spots that shape the face extend into the trunk of the tree, symbolizing the continuity and fusion of nature and humanity.
