Theme : "CARVED ARTPIECES" - January 23, 2020

From the same boats as in the previous picture, (in first comment box) now with a new experiment processing.

First, I treated the image with light, color, sharpness. Then a thin layer of filters from Topaz Impression, with low opacity. Flatten.

And on that picture I used Sevenstyle's Watercolor action.

It took me a while to first change PS from Swedish to English version to use Actions from the US, then to understand how Sevenstyles works.

This is an initial attempt.

I usually don´t share two pictures on the same day, but maybe it's fun to compare similar motives with two completely different processing.

Wish you all a wonderful day.

Visited this printed textiles/hand-craft shop in Daikanyama today with K. Quite inspired and excited by it to say the least! Bought some fabric to make a cushion cover from (the assistant is just getting the roll down for me here!).

SORRIA

My aunt's made quilts from domestic necessity and later for pleasure. The oldest were born in 1910 and 1913 and lived to be 96 and 93. I spent a lot of time with them and my other aunts as a little kid and learned a lot of things about early 20th century life.

I feel lucky to have several of these old quilts that we use daily and many in the closet. In the 60's, we used old quilts to cover tobacco. They were threadbare but would have been a treasure today.
