Back in February as I was almost done with covid, I had been experimenting with Photoshop's artistic filter gallery. I had found something called halftone. it creates a pattern similar to what would be printed with the halftone process in newspapers and pulp magazines. I had created a monochrome image of it. Then I played with adding back the color image, but set to Multiply blend mode. This resulted. I really like the gradients of tone that the dots created.
This was in the same time frame in which I was playing and created the one in the first comment box.
When our hearts stop ticking 462, based very loosely of off Death Cab for Cuties' St. Peter's Cathedral, off of the album Codes and Keys. Was listening to this tune on constant repeat while creating this piece, does that count?
And loving this entire album in particular, appreciating the dreamy fact that Ben Gibbard was heavily influenced by electro-whiz musician & producer DNTEL (Post-Postal Service). So nice... with all the mechanical, melancholic blips and bleeps... and Gibbard's telling lyrics:
It's either quite a master plan

True macro photo of a Bluebottle fly (Calliphora vomitoria vicina) on the colour halftone pattern of a paper bag (was actually a barbecue charcoal bag). The halftone dot pattern gives some idea of how shallow the depth of focus becomes at greater than life-size macro ratios.
Taken using a 50mm f/2.8 EL Nikkor reversed on extension tubes. Macro ratio approx. 2.6:1.

As I turned from the ticket machine screen vertigo overcame me again, turning the world into a concrete maze. Would I be able to find my way out this time? A couple of new things for this attempt. First off, it's not a painting. Shocker. Second, these are not my photographs, but they are licensed under creative commons - photo attributions below.

This is the 1st photo of a 3 part processing series. Halftone pattern has always been one of my fav. filters of all times in photoshop and this time, with this photo, I used the line halfton pattern.
I was so lucky that this guy was basically standing right in front of me during the whole performance.. however, he was moving so fast, so not all photos turn out as great as this one.
Anyway, I think this guy looks pretty evil but he has a very powerful singing voice. I still can't forget the performance.
For whoever wants to do a retouch on this, here is the original version.. is big.. is TIF.. and I want you to work with the best material!
Something a bit different for me! I thought I'd try my hand at a bit of post-processing! I quite like how it turned out! I hope you do too!

An experiment with halftones and the trendy pantone color dubbed "Scuba", this image depicts a modified photoilustration of the original space walk from Gemini 4.
This is the final piece of the 3 part processing series with halftone pattern filter from Photoshop. I love the whole series!
This performer is incredible! She can basically put her whole body inside that small circular shell. I have a lot of fun watching this performance because she and her partner's expressions are too weird, lol!
