Its full of beautiful trees, and people, and dogs with people, and kids, and birds and butterflies and deer and goats and roses and .....

 

It is a source of London sanity. It is our temple.

Hackney, on the other hand, is still pretty rough around the edges.

There's a show at the Hackney Museum and Library called "I Heart Hackney" where various Hackney luminaries testify on why they heart Hackney. Me? I heart Hackney because of the corrupt officials and dog shit in the streets.

The square before Hackney town hall. I increased the gamma on this. I need to play with the colour settings more on my camera to increase light sensitivity, or I need to steady my hand more. Part of the problem is that this evening's phots were taken while running, at night. This demands a steady hand, but even with my breath held, my hand jitters from side to side.
