A hack of the MIT Media Lab.
A livingroom was installed on the underside of the sculpture attached to the MIT Media Lab (normally it looks like www.media.mit.edu/about/images/e15.jpg ).
Of course, there's a drain and p-trap coming down from the sink and going back to the wall, so, in order to make the drawers functional, I had to shorten them. This wasn't particularly difficult - cut the drawer base to the desired depth, cut grooves in the sides to receive the drawer back, drill 4 holes to attach the drawer back with the original plastic ikea hardware. Works just like it did before only the drawers are a little less than half as deep. It's a lot better than nothing, though, and my wife uses the top drawer as countertop space when she's getting ready in the morning because our vanity is so small.
Transferring private and important data over the Internet can expose users to
the prying and hacking of ruthless cyber criminals. There is an urgent need for a
comprehensive solution to secure the safe transmission of information from point A to B. This godsend will be the cavalier who fights hackers incessantly, and strives to slay the dragon who has been devouring the most valuable and vulnerable asset of all netizens.

Because only the professional photo store scans slide film, and it'll take two days(!), I resort to taking pictures of my slides while holding them against a window and using a macro lens.. That's why it looks so lo-fi.
But I kind of like it.
Hacked my oscilloscope from the 50MHz model to 100MHz one. You can see that by the 2ns time setting.

I found this nice little tool pouch a while ago but it lacked a good place to hang my tape measure, so I bent some aluminum into shape and mounted it on the pouch.
D100 hack shutter. This sequence motor has 3 functios:
- Shutter loading sequence
- Mirror-up sequence
- apertue control.
I only need the shutter sequence hence the hack.
Sony MDR-V150 hack for broken headband: new headband from one wire coat hanger, insulation tape and some fleece material from a hat.
Fleece hand sewn around wire.
D100 hack shutter . All the excess parts are removed. Only the loading mechanism for the shutter remains. An encoding disk is hidden in the module. This disc indicates the correct position of the motor sequence. Also, the mirror housing has been removed. Everything is now ready to activate only the shutter.
