One of Mother Nature's most beautiful creations. There is something so magical about horses and the way they move, about the look deep in their eyes and how they can make us feel when just being near them.
Something I never get tired of.
Gypsy moth. Our native UK strain went extinct in the early 1900s. A local population of the destructive European species was discovered when they were building Fairford Leys estate around 2003 - eggs were probably imported in on timber. Pheromone traps were used in an unsuccessful attempt to attract and eradicate them.
The caterpillars are incredibly destructive, their hairs can be an irritant...and birds don't like the taste of them. But they look cute!

Not at all sure what's going on! I posted a textured shot of this image, and just now, I discovered that the texture had been removed! Might be something to do with the way I save the shot coming out of Photoshop perhaps.... Anyway, here is something a bit more like the original post, though I didn't keep a track of the adjustments so actually, who knows!
