It never fails to make me smile when I see Guru sprawled like this. He often sleeps taking up extravagant amounts of space. The best part: he accepts belly kisses.
I haven't posted this before... It bothered me that his eyes were different sizes, I guess... but I keep coming back to it, because of his earnest, friendly face. Guru makes a lot of eye contact--one of the things I really love about him. That's why I'm choosing this image for this week's Happy Caturday group theme: a photo we love of a cat that we love.
Happy Caturday! =^..^= ❤️
I haven't been able to take any photographs for a little over a week because I have to hop around on one foot with a walker (torn Achilles' tendon). Guru gave me this shot, however, which I could take from my recliner.
I left my favorite shorts on the bed, smoothed flat, in case somebody wanted to sleep on them. Guru had a better idea.

Has anyone else run into this behavior? Guru does it when he's really happy. He latches on with his teeth (usually somewhere on my arm), but without breaking the skin. He isn't sucking, but I wonder if it's some sort of carryover from nursing. Maybe he was orphaned or weaned very young? We got Guru from a rescue organization, but they weren't very forthcoming about his history--other than that he was taken from a shelter. I actually don't mind it, because it makes him so happy.
update: I am reposting this for the Happy Caturday group theme that includes "your cat behaving in a way that is... special to them". Inexplicably, I love it when Guru does this. His purr becomes really loud.
Guru burrowed his way into the laundry bag. He likes to spend time in there, just hanging out and looking through the mesh fabric. Muse thinks it's a little strange.
The squirrel wasn't the least bit intimidated by Guru, and thrashed through the leaves at the base of the stairs & close to the pen, ostensibly to find acorns.
