Sometimes, I am just lucky! I was in Chinatown in Philly on the holy Caturday of the week waiting to meet my friend Chris when this woman stepped out of the house across the street with her cat, Gunner. Look at this adorable cat belly! I'm a bit late on the Caturday post but there is still just a little bit of time left today.

Finally Gunner is here! I had the concept since January and it was the Doll I was most interested to build. This final result isn't as good as I expected, mostly because of the cape as I wasn't able to find a better piece of cloth (which comes ironically from my own cape), but for now it works. =P

Also known as as Gunner Pool Dam. Built by the CCC but still a worthy stop for us on our trip. I lost two shots out of this pack when a tab broke. Also didn’t share one that wasn’t real clear. I’ve got about two more to share and that wraps up the Polaroids from the trip. The rest will have to wait until October and most likely the Fall Polaroid Week because they’re part of the ghost series.

Just wanted to attract your attention, in order to introduce this video, the thumbnail of which doesn't look that good. I made the video with my new DSLR, a Canon 5D Mark ii.
GUNNER is 50 years old and was raised in captivity by the original owner. Present owner have had him for the past 7 years. Original owner was an elderly lady and she had to move to another state to be closer with family. She couldn't bring Gunner with her.
Finally having some strength on my right wrist and hopefully be able to comment on your beautiful photos soon!

Door gunner.
A door gunners role was maintain the manually operated weapons system on board a helicopter. His function was to bring suppressive fire support to the aircraft and also to support ground troops.
The dive bomber that won the Battle of Midway.
This is the twin 30-caliber machine guns operated by the gunner who sits behind the pilot, to keep any attacking Japanese Zeros at bay. It fires a 30-06 caliber bullet, which is the exact same bullet the troops carried and fired from WW I, WW II, and Korea, in their Garand M-1 rifles and the light machine gun. This bullet is still in use today in hunting rifles.
I was given the honor and pleasure of climbing up into the gunners bay by one of my Flickr Contacts, who is a volunteer worker at the Commemorative Air Force, who rebuilds and maintains these old warbirds at tremendous expense. Please, never hesitate to contribute to their cause. I had one of the most outstanding and thorough, amazing tours of a small hanger of warbirds I could have ever dreamed of.

A new edit of an old photo never published before. This is Gunners Park in Shoeburyness in Essex at sunrise. I remember this morning very well as after i shot this location i walked down to Thorpe Bay at low tide and got some a cracking portfolio shot of the Liberty Belle boat. Yep this was a good day at the office :-)
