Many hungry gullwings shining on this time. Mist is comming slow, the lake is quiet, but the gull are stil squawking. Last sunbeams of this day are painting shimmering plumes in soft light at the birds. Behind the flying birds you see the Bavarian Alps, because it´s 'Föhn'. I´m sitting on ground and apperceive the end of this day. Then I think, what a wonderful moment on 'Lake Starnberg' (German: "Starnberger See"), what a great place.

Gullwing Lake is a freshwater lake near Torrance in the Muskoka region of southern Ontario.

Original photography from 2015 using a Canon EOS 60D body with a Sigma 17-70mm f2.8 DC Macro OS lens. Reprocessed in 2017 using Silver EFEX Pro as a Lightroom plugin for the Black and White conversion.

The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (chassis code W 198) is a two-seat sports car which was produced by Mercedes-Benz as a gullwinged coupe (1954–1957) and roadster (1957–1963). It was based on the company's 1952 racer, the W194, with mechanical direct fuel injection which boosted power almost 50 percent in its three-liter overhead camshaft straight-six engine. Capable of reaching a top speed of up to 263 km/h (163 mph), it was a sports car racing champion and the fastest production car of its time
