It was a lovely evening. This musician was playing wonderful music at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody, BC, Canada.
Most of the Bears love music and they like to hang near the gear. This guitar is my PRS Santana SE. I recently did some work on this guitar where I floated the trem, changed strings, and adjusted my intonation. Guitar players would know what I mean. I have been watching YouTube videos and learning more about guitar set-ups. I am a drummer first but also play guitar. I have two acoustics and 8 electrics.
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday
Another view of The Guitar Hotel. This one in a more open setting. The lagoon is in the foreground with several pools between that and the hotel. Truly an impressive place.
One of two photos today.
My old pal and I messing, trying out shots, and I came away with this image of his Gibson Les Paul which I like. I am drawn to the burnished colours partially, but primarily to the solid engineering excellence of it. I took the shot with the intention of a mono conversion which I did, and I like, but I couldn't deny those colours!
One of the things that gives me enjoyment as much as taking a photograph is playing a tune on the guitar. Here's a photo of the headstock of my Yamaha acoustic guitar.
Taken using a Yongnuo 50mm reverse lens macro.
It was his beautiful orange jumper which caught my eye. I pointed to my camera and he nodded yes.
Only afterwards did I realise this was Marvin who is already in my Human Family project. I did not stop to talk as on my previous encounter Marvin told me busking is an essential part of his income. He also teaches guitar.
I noted he was offering for sale his CDs, also copies of his book: Diary of a Busker which he has been keeping online for more than 10 years now.
Marvin's website:
Oh, hush, my dear, it's been a difficult year, And terrors don't prey on, Innocent victims, Trust me, darling, trust me darling
It's been a loveless year
I'm a girl of three fears, Integrity, faith and
Crocodile tears, Trust me, darling, trust me, darling
So look me in the eyes, tell me what you see
Perfect paradise, tearing at the seams, I wish I could escape, I don't wanna fake it, wish I could erase it, make your heart believe
But I'm a bad liar, now you know,
I'm a bad liar, now you know, you're free to go ♥
I took some gig pictures at the weekend, I was really chuffed with my pictures, think I am getting the knack of this photography lark!
The only unique knobs in our entire house. My husband's guitar cabinets are embellished with these. HMM everyone!
A banjo player prepares for the weekly jam session at Gilchrist Park in Punta Gorda, Florida, known as "Guitar Army." Diverse musicians, instruments, and styles are featured in these well-attended sessions.

Creative Challenge Group is 'Music to my eyes'. this is a guitar that sits as an ornament, maybe it will get some play now as it looks good on the eye.
