www.intersectionconsulting.comThe problem with Groupon from a strategic perspective is the ripple effect that results from a promotion model purely focused on price.
As the frequency of Groupons increase price integrity will tend to diminish, resulting in a decline in profitability. There is also the chance that the number of new customers getting exposed to your business declines. With each Groupon you are essentially conditioning your existing customers to only frequent your business when there is a deal.
Homerun is a Groupon competitor which features a special members area called Private Reserve. They tout this area as “Unique experiences reserved for our top point-earning members.” An interesting addition to the typical online coupon formula.
I wonder if Groupon will consider adding this sort of membership service to their site and/or if this sort of gamification hurts or helps this business model.
Philadelphia-based burger joint PYT is expanding to the Lower East Side of NYC this July and they’re offering burger lovers a crazy deal!

Day 28 - Today after dinner we headed out to marble slab to get some dessert. Wifey had apple n spice with cookie dough, while I had cheesecake with graham cracker. I guess what we did not compensate for was that the size that came with the coupon was medium. There was so much ice cream that I did not finish eating my waffle cone. None the less it was yummy all the way down. It is noted that next time we will go on an empty stomach, or perhaps will need to freeze the other.
Finished my kub kar today, and I must say my weight is bang on, and my car goes straight, I cannot be any more happier with my work. Tomorrow I will reveal the car here, 1 day prior to the race, as I am excited, I worked very hard this year, with the limited tools I have.
I can hear wifey laughing her butt off from the other room. I had to go check to find that she was watching the voice. This new show where the judges pick teams based on only hearing some guy sing, well it happens that one the judges is Cee Lo Green, and this d00d is just belching away Cee Los song F-You, wearing his favorite colours, for sure he is sucking up, altho I have to admit the guy sang very well.
Over in this room now, I was curious as it seems this Bieber fever is across the land, so I had to naturally Youtube him, currently listening to Baby. I have to admit it is not bad, hmm does this make me a closet Bieber fan? Well I will put it this way, I never said I did not like him, but I would not be caught dead, trying to get near him just to worship the ground he walked on. Still unsure as to this Bieber bobble that everyone talks about, does he do it in the video?

08/03/13: Groupon has the WG-2 for 149.95USD. Mine was closer to twice the price a year ago.
More kidresistant than kidproof for sure. So far anyway.
What is said in various reviews regarding mediocre image quality is true. Generally speaking mediocre image quality is true of most hardened, tough cameras. That said... The WG-2 is stout. Will take a good beating. Very cool microscope mode. For my own purposes the WG-2 being able to take a good beating trumps best possible point and shoot image quality. Sometimes good enough is enough.
For anyone considering a WG-2 you may consider going with a WG-1 if available at substantially less than MSRP. The WG-2 is an improved design, but not far better than the WG-1. I've played around with both. BTW, The GPS feature of the WG-1 isn't all that great. Bit slow to get a lock. WG-2 GPS much better. Keep that in mind if GPS is important.
If you looking for what may be the best of the type look at the Olympus TG-1 iHS. Very nice.
OK. In hindsight a manufacturer refurbished WG-1 for cheap might be what I should have gotten. Live and learn.
Pets.com was falsely perceived as a "dotcom IPO", just like Groupon. Neither are in anyway even remotely related to software.
Groupon send email, that's it.
