Its my wedding anniversary tomorrow and i thought I would celebrate by posting a photograph of a recently married couple, who like myself (many years ago ) are starting on a journey. One that I have loved and still love.
Got to spend a bit of time with this merganser at the pond by the river. After floating about for awhile, she hopped up on this log and proceeded to go through a very intensive and thorough grooming ritual.

I am beyond fortunate to have these Cooper's showing up multiple times a day right behind my house. I have learned so much about their behavior and temperament. Yesterday I was able to watch this one for over two hours, and this was caught during their grooming ritual.
A bee in a lockdown garden. Caught this bee having rest and wash after a busy session of collecting.
Over lockdown trying to do haircuts and other grooming has been a feature. How well it is completed is a whole other thing! I have documented some of my items, enjoy.

While taking photos of a church in Grayson, Saskatchewan I noticed what I at first thought was a coyote in a vacant lot nearby. It was a red fox grooming itself. It was not bothered by three photographers moving closer to take photos. When I knelt down to get a lower angle this is how the fox reacted.
Hi Everyone! A young Red Fox grooming its fur. I was thrilled to watch him/her so relaxed in my presence. It was nearly nightfall so I was fairly happy with how the image turned out.
