This is from the summit of Monte Palanzone, the second summit for elevation of the so called "Triangolo Lariano", the area where the two southern branches of Lake Como, with the shape of an inverted Y, design a sort of triangle.
View toward the summits of Monte Legnone, on the left, and the sister summits named Grigne.
Dalla cima del Palanzone, seconda vetta per elevazione del triangolo Lariano, vista verso il Monte Legnone e le cime sorelle delle Grigne.

Verbano is the second largest lake of Italy, with a surface of, 212.5 sq kilometers (82.0 sq mi).
The waters of the lake separate the region of Lombardia from that of Piemonte.
The city on the peninsula on the left is Verbania.
At the horizon the Central Alpine range.
Il lago Maggiore, o Verbano, dalla cima del monte Mottarone, 1490m. Si vedono la città di Verbania, sulla penisola a sinistra, il paese di Laveno e, all'orizzonte, l'arco Alpino. Chi è allenato distinguerà anche le Grigne e il gruppo del Bernina.
Monte Moregallo. Italy
The twin mountain peaks named Grignetta, 7,145ft, on the right, and Grignone, 8,070ft, from the summit of Monte Moregallo, 4,195ft.
When I climbed Monte Moregallo, three weeks ago, then I realized that this was the last year for me under these mountains. My company is going to move the facilities to another place. So I planned to climb other three summits above the city of Lecco in three weeks, Resegone, Monte due Mani and, last but not the least, Grignetta. Today I closed the loop and I climbed Grignetta when the work was over. I will bother you with some shot from the summit of this baby, but not tonight. Tonight the memories are just for me.

From the summit of Southern Grigna, alias Grignetta or little Grigna, 7,145ft; view toward the Northern Grigna, alias Grignone or Big Grigna, 7,920ft. The view goes on toward the distant summits of the regions of Valtellina, IT (on the right), and Grigioni, Switzerland.
Dalla cima della Grignetta, 2.178m, vista verso il Grignone, 2.410m. Una di quelle rare giornate tanto serene che lo sguardo può spaziare fino ai monti della Valtellina e dei Grigioni.
Inversione termica dalla cima del Grignone, una sera di ottobre.
