I'm becoming more fond of sculpting on to heads instead of modifying parts or painting on masks. I use TLG's Nightwing head as a base, and it worked really good. The rest is pretty much just paint, aside from the belt buckle (Greenstuff) and the boot things (edge of a square stud).

Enjoy!

P.S: I'll be taking a break to avoid BvS spoilers.

Second figure in the classic Marvel wave.

Head is Bruce Wayne's. Suit collar is sculpted, rest is paint.

For the chair, I took two of the 1x1 bricks with the connectors on the front, and the holes in the back, then I put legs in there and bent them down a bit. I squared it off with greenstuff, waited for it to cure, and sculpted the slated part. Most of the rest of it is TLG pieces, except under the armrests, and the padding on the back of the chair which is greenstuff.

Huge thanks to Dylan, who recommended sanding sponges to me, and it made that gold go on a whole lot easier.

Enjoy!

My Mad Max sculpt from the first movies ending where Max surprises johnny the boy.

I tried to make him as accurate as possible.

i used citadel miniature paints and greenstuff for this one.

let me know what you think :)

Thank you!

I know a lot of people don't like this version of batman and I didn't either at first but it has come to grow on me. I made this mostly to go inside of the batman robot armor I made. You will see that soon.

The ears is a custom peace inspired of the black panther ears. I made them of an antistud and greenstuff. You will see why I didn't just use a regular batman cowl when I show the robot armor.

Other than that the whole figure is painted by me.

This is the sculpt for an upcoming figure of regime flash from injustice gods among us.

It is completely made out of greenstuff sculpted around a head with oil so that the sculpting material would not stick to it wich made a removable helmet.

Please tell me if you like these w.i.p. update pictures or if you would rather just have a picture of the completed figure without the steps in between :)

Some green stuff in the forest. ;)

John Marston and his Repeater carbine

The rifle was made from small plastic pieces and greenstuff

and the rifle can be holstered to the back

I think this turned out well :) what do you think?

let me know in the comments!

Time to continue work on storyteller and edna ;)

Thank you all

Custom lego wolverine with hair customized with greenstuff and custom made bone claws. everything else is hand painted as usual

He is also my entry to BossBricks contest

This was a custom that took a lot of sculpting and minimal painting. The sculpting was extremely difficult, but the whole this was made of greenstuff and some interior LEGO pieces. The legs are toothpicks. The only part that I had to detail paint was the face, which I think turned out pretty well. The rest was just coats and washes. I coated the whole thing with floss to make him look a little grosser and shinier. Once again thanks to JerdFigs for the inspiration in making this guy!

Didn't like this suit when I first saw it revealed but over time it has really grown on me. After I saw the movie I thought the new suit was super cool so of course I had to make a figure based on it.

The torso, helmet and shoulders are sculpted out of greenstuff and the entire figure is hand painted.

The armor can't come off on this figure as it did on my last iron man but I think the trade off was worth it for getting the armor as thin as it is while still maintaining some 3d detailing.

At some point I hope to make the back and the boosterpack but as of now there is nothing to see there yet.

Hope you like the figure! :)

Sorry for not posting him here on flickr sooner I just kind of forgot to post him here :/

Just want to give out an update on customizing, since that's still my forte. Anyways, some things I want to address:

WIPs:

- Zoom (Flash S2)

- Zoom (Flash mini-series)

- Rick Grimes (S5)

- Green Arrow (Elseworld)

Paints:

I'm planning on changing pants from craftsmart to apple barrel. After painting, craftsmart seems to keep chipping, and is impossible to work with. I know that some people here on flickr use craftsmart, and it'd be great if you guys could give me some suggestions!

Sculpting

Sculpey or Greenstuff? I've been using greenstuff, but what's better?

daredevil: the helmet is an ultron helmet with greenstuff the torso painted is based of the mgf netflix daredevil

punisher: the face was originaly an indiana jones head i make the jacket with electrical tape all the detail except the teeth of the skull are three-dimensional

these were painted by me

tell me what you think in the comments :)

Respect my authoritah!

Really like this one. :)

I'm a huge South Park fan and Cartman is by far my favorite character. I want to do some more customs from South Park, but I'm not sure who to do, aside from the 4 main characters.

All sculpts are GreenStuff, and he's painted with Testors except a bit blue Sharpie Paint Pen used to get the color of his hat.

Tell me some other SP characters you'd like to see, or any characters in general.

Please comment if you favorite!

Thanks y'all

Since I started reading a Hawkeye comic/graphic novel I decided to make hawkeye. His outfit is based on the cover which is why I painted on some shading on the side. His hair is a modified bruce wayne one and his Quiver is a huge modified lego suitcase. Which has got a brickforge arrow in it. His bow was a mangablux one. His pockets are all cutted dryed greenstuff ones.

everything else is just painted.

Hope you guys like it.

Here is the legendary storyteller and his companion edna.

Really happy that i took my time with this one

i used citadel paints and greenstuff to make the armor and the tri beam laser rifle

edna is made completely out of greenstuff.

let me know what you think in the comments :)

thank you

This was made by using citadel greenstuff and paints.

The revolver was made from plastic pieces i cut off from miniature frames.

Please comment if i should add anything or remove something from this one

thanks!

"My name is Paul Monroe... But my friends have taken to calling me Jesus."

Jesus is definitely one of my favorite parts of the "New Beginning Era" of the comics, and one of my favorite characters on the show from what little we've seen. This figure was based on the McFarlane Toys figure, and this cover:

vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/walkingdead/images/5/53/TWD1...

The head is a CMF samurai hairpiece, and the face is a clone trooper. All sculpting is GreenStuff, and all painting is Testors. the weathering looks a tad messy in places, but I like it. The sword is a katana, and the CMF king sword glued together.

I put a lot of work into this guy, so I'd really appreciate it if you left a comment. :)

Cheers!

Some new sculpting tools for details and a procreate test pack thing. So i can try which one is better for me. Greenstuff or procreate.

Helmet mod done with Greenstuff, and the vambraces/gauntlet things are cardstock paper. I should have done a picture of the side, but oh well. :P

ok, another figure!

I really like this guy too ;) he fautres an autumn oak leaf camo smock and helmet cover, greenstuff rigging and pouches as well as the new k43 rifle

Baby Groot from the newest GotG2 teaser trailer.

Groot was one of my favourite parts from the first movie so I definetly wanted to make one now.

The Base was a Lego Microfigure. The Arms were Lego Lever pieces which I glued on and scupted over with Greenstuff so it looks more accurate.

His Head and every detail on the Body were sculpted out of Greenstuff. I then shade and layer painted everything.

Stay tuned for even more GotG figs Im planning on making the whole squad.

Hope you guys like it.

Bought 50 cm of greenstuff and a 2/0 detail brush :D

"I once had strings, but now I'm free... There are no strings on me!" ~Ultron

So, finally, here he is!

I'm sorry it's taken me this long to finish this fig, it's just that I lost all inspiration. But once I working on my Fallout 4 fig, I got the motivation to finish Ultron. Something that makes him special, is that he is the first figure that features sculpted Greenstuff parts.

His mask was made using a mold, so I didn't have to mutilate one of my Ironman helmets. He was painted with Testors enamel model paints. Other than that, he was fairly simple. If I missed any details, just ask about them.

Tell me what you guys think, I'd love to hear what you have to say! :) Drop a fave, comment or even a follow. They all go a long way!

Seeya in the next one!

*Spartan out*

"Anakin Skywalker was weak, i destroyed him."

Here is the final painted Rebels version Darth Vader.

I used the lower helmet part as a base to sculpt the helmet by myself. I tried to make the helmet look like in the show as much as possible. Whether or not i succeeded in that i leave it up to you.

The pic doesn't do the fig justice so i might upload more pics if i fell like it.

This was sculpted by using greenstuff.

Thank you!

I don't know any kick ass quotes.

I reached the Kick-Ass movies the other day, and o remembered how awesome they are. I like the design in the comics more, but I much prefer the movie version of the Dave Lizewski character. If you're wondering what the difference is, its just the mask.

The head is sculpted with Greenstuff, and everything else is painted with Testors. I used stud tops like I usually do for his gloves.

Enjoy!

Here is my Marked one from stalker shadow of chernobyl.

Finally got this fig done!

This was sculpted using citadel greenstuff.

the vss vintorez is custom made as always.

Let me know what you think :)

Thank you!

Yo!

So I made this minifigure some days ago and decided to upload it.

The body curves were sculpted ny me same as hair piece that I added to a Lego cap I painted.

I wanted her to be a blonde but I used to much wash and she is ginger now but I like this color as well :P

I used Greenstuff to sculpt this elements by the way

That's all enjoy it ;3 more customs coming soon

P.S.

Added some friends and inspirations ;) if I forgot to tag anyone just tell me and I will tag you to this and other figures ;)

Taken in Thailand's Khao Sok national park, this was the day when I decided I would spare no expense on my next tent!!

Thank you for beating a path here :)

Today is the first of February, so the return of TWD isn't far away.

As much as I love Andrew Lincoln as Rick, but I think that this design is cooler, especially his stub. I wish he'd lose it in the show.

spoolers

I used Testors paint on him, and Greenstuff on his arm. Tony Stark face on him. I plan to post my Negan on the 14th.

Please comment if you favourite.

Thanks!

As the Villain

GreenStuff is god. I used Testors for all the painting, and GreenStuff for all the sculpts. Hair is sculpted onto a Bruce Wayne hairpiece as you'll see in the video. His mask is the front of a Lego head and I used a file on the sides of it for the cheekbone effect. His watch is made with the same effect I use to extend my arms. I really like how he turned out. :P

Please comment if you favorite.

Thanks!

My very own take on one of my favourite DC characters, Deathstroke. I combined several existing Deathstrokes (The version from Arrow, Injustice and Arkham Origins in particular) aswell as some own designs.

As usual, everything is sculpted by yours truly, the top chest part however was Brickforge ODST armour that I got from TheRaconteur a long time ago. The shortened Tactical Sword he wields is from Brickarms and the Rifle from Minifig.cat.

Information about Greenstuff and how to work with it here .

Here's my take on Big Boss.

The rifle was made from normal lego blaster. I used citadel paints and greenstuff to make this fig.

Really like how this looks :)

What do you think?

Thanks!

So for this figure I started with the idea of making him in my favorite outfit, the hylian tunic which I dyed green. The face was for sure the hardest part, but I'm super happy with how it turned out. The body has some greenstuff on it as well as the arms, and the hair was sculpted. The belts are e tape and the skirt part is an old cape. The sword is from a 3D printing company online (I forget the name). I got it a couple years ago and it's not the highest quality so I decided to make the rusted sword. Also I was super disappointed that the sword wasn't when I found it in game. It woulda been really cool to have to like repair it or something. Anyway I hope you guys like it and I hope it makes a good contest entry.

Got so frustrated that I spread the greenstuff over the eyelids, then I ended up making the mask. Anyways, features include:

- Poor paintjob

- Poor sculpting

- Arealight Torso

- Sculpted belt and mask.

Also, since we're on the subject of Batgirl, what do you guys think about the rumor about Jena Malone being cast as Barbara in BvS?

Just a Quick Western figbarf. Tried to edit the photo in my phone to look "old".

From L to R:

Bandit leader with Peacemaker

Bandit with dubble Colt Navy

Bandit with Winchester Rifle

Bankowner with custom Winchester 1873

Bank worker with sawed off Shotgun

So yeah my sister took her camera with her when she went back to her university last friday so it'll take some weeks before I can use that again.

Fortunately my phone (iPhone SE) came today so I could use it for taking the picture. Tomorrow I'm leaving for a camp and I'll stay there until saturday. So I won't be uploading before then.

Hey guys! It's me, AFreakofLego.

This is my newest custom! The Fallout 4 "Lone Wanderer" (default character settings, as there are like, billions of options to choose from :P). This figure took me forever to make, as I had to go through many different sculpts, and many of which turned out to be failures. But I was finally able to achieve this sculpt, and I'm pretty satisfied!

Almost all of this figure is sculpted with GreenStuff, but the Pip-boy is sculpted with Procreate. Now that I have that clay, I'm pretty sure my customs are going to undergo a huge boost in quality.

On the talk of Fallout 4, I might as well tell you that its been out since November 10th and i already have 39 hours logged (which probably isn't even CLOSE to what some of you guys have), but that is a pretty big number for me. It's such a fun game and there is so much to do and the story is amazing if you ask me. But despite all that, nothing can compare to Skyrim :3. Sorry Bethesda xD.

But anyways, the figure is painted with Citadel and Vallejo paint, and I used a 10/0 brush to paint all of the fine details on the figure like the neon on the Pip-boy, and the gold on his collar. I gave him a few scars and wounds to add to the wasteland effect that i was going for. I also washed his torso and legs with a Nuln Oil (Black Wash) to make them look dirty. I am making a custom base plate for him too, so that's pretty exciting.

I used my own reference pictures that i manually screenshotted for myself from the game because i find that much easier to do than to spend like 30 minutes scrolling through the billions of pages of google images trying to find a decent reference picture :p.

I hope you guys enjoyed this figure, as it took me a very long time to make it and i put a LOT of work into this custom.

Thanks,

Henry (AFreakofLego)

I COMPLETELY redid my Warlock. In fact, this is a completely new figure, completely sculpted again of course. The weapon is a combination of numerous Rifles I'v seen in videos, this also has custom sculpted parts.

This one has armour that is based off this concept art image, of course I gave it a personal twist. img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130425201650/halofanon/imag....

Information about Greenstuff and how to work with it here

guess what I've had for lunch yesterday

"Reasonably."

Been picking away at this dude for some time now, since I kept forgetting to send him to Taylor, as part of a trade.

There's not really much to say about him, other than he's fattened up with Greenstuff. It is hard to tell, but his limbs are extended.

If you don't know who Huell is, shame on you.

Just kidding... I'm from hillbilly stock but I don't go for frog legs LOL!!!

Whoo!

Yeah, so I made this for the contest and am uploading it the day it ends. What a day. ;)

Anywho, I hope you guys like it. It is s fully custom made figure ("gee Jesse, you seem to only make fully custom figs for contests...") by me using a variety of third-party items including CombatBrick, Tiny Tactical, Brickarms, CitizenBrick, and Warhammer 40k.

I have personally sculpted the hood (what a pain in the neck, attempted it over 19 times and now I officially hate sculpey [asked for Greenstuff for Christmas ;D] and am still only moderately satisfied with the result...), and the kneepads are also sculpted by me.

Other "stand-outs" are the painted weapons (of course), including a tactical-M93 Raffica, and an extended mag M1911.

Love the CombatBrick products! Many thanks to Alex the man, these pieces are great! Best of luck to those entering the contest!

Yeah, so Christmas break, more time for AP homework, college apps, lego, and flickr uploads! Expect more sometime soon....

Oh yeah, Merry Christmas everyone!

Others added are primary inspirations. Kudos to them for their awesome work!

Enjoy, and let me know what you guys think!

EDIT: I won first place!!! :D
