Read an article on this old '60s sci-fi classic(?) the other day which brought back some old cheesy movie memories. This was taken in a very dark, decaying abandoned farm house. Unlike the explorers in the movie, hopefully I didn't bring anything back home with me....we're good so far....
A gator I found while hiking. This sucker was a big 'un!! It's pretty neat how the green slime stays on the gator, camouflaging it whether in the water or on land.
It seems like forever since I posted a photo of Castlerock which is very remiss of me as it really is a pretty little village.
One of the things that I adore about living here is that I have the beach at the end of our road.
So when I get the urge to do a sunrise shot, checked the clouds to see if its going to be an interesting sunrise, actually feel ok to do some photography, I can get into my mini and tootle down.
Every one that knows me, knows that I am always prattling on about the light, especially just after sun rise and before the sun sets.
It was particularly glorious last week, bathing the basalt rocks in a warm glow and really making the colour of the green slime pop.
All I know about the green slime is that it is slimy and only appears on rocks that are normally covered at high tide.
I am not holding my breath about having a lovely Summer this year. I swear it rained every day in May and the average temp. was about 5 degrees.
And so far, June is proving to be even more dismal!!
On the north end of Playa la Ropa on Zihuatanejo Bay is a small rock outcropping, part of it at the waters edge. The green mossy stuff peaks at the end of the rainy season in early November.

After partying like a rockstar on Sunday I thought of this levitation shot and thought it would entertain YOU!
mooring buoys off Long Island - not the most interesting objects to be photographing but these big buggars are very important to me. in the holiday season, throughout the Whitsunday Islands, every boat on the water will be wanting one of these mooring buoys, at one time or another, or usually all at the same time - so to see three vacant is a rare treat.
they have been sitting on the water a while as the green slime has been building up.

This alligator had this green slime all over him...before the rains came, the water had all dried up, and the slime had dried on him, too. (Explored May 30, 2009 highest position #191) Now, if I could just find some long-necked geese, some humpty backed camels, some chimpanzees and a lovely unicorn! To view on black, click below

Happy Brunktöberfest -- I'm officially 33 years old! On this glorious occasion, I'll help myself to this delicious green slime cake! Unlike previous years, unfortunately I won't be traveling to my hometown in Lancaster, PA, but rather I'll stay here in New York to work on more animations and photography. I'd really like for this stop-motion Alice in Wonderland short film to be finished by the end of the year, and with my new job at Goldman Sachs, I'll be able to buy that fancy new computer with superior specs for video editing!
By the way, the cake is actually a cheesecake covered in green icing, with my special homemade slime: tapioca pudding, green food coloring, and orange juice!

i know, all fusion people have this photo but...it is really cool!
for non-fusion goers, these big cubes were set up all around this dancefloor and they would glow and light up on and off...i loved it.
