We made Fish burritos for dinner tonight. Baked the Great Value Crispy battered fish fillets in the oven and put them on flour tortillas and topped them with: Queso, Pico de Gallo and Black olives.

"great value shopping" is taking over our world. It's not making us happier, but it does give us more free time to do the things we love... oh wait, I quite enjoyed browsing local independent shop and colourful markets...

We baked Walmart Great value Frozen meatballs, Zucchini medley and four small russet potatoes in the oven for dinner. We also opened a can of Bush beans Black beans and had them as well.

We thawed out three Chicken breasts today. I butterflied them, seasoned them with Lawry's Seasoned salt & McCormick Montreal steak seasoning and drizzled some olive oil over them. Then I baked them in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. I heated the Marketside Mashed potatoes in the microwave. And heated the bag of Peas & Carrots in the microwave as well. Served with Salt, Black pepper and butter.

Finally the MK1 is complete & operational but still needs a little fettling. 980g incl Manfrotto 323 quick release.
This week we haven trying to reset our diet with Chicken and vegetables for our dinners. Tonight we had Walmart Great value Chicken breast tenderloins (with frozen Peppers & Onions), Frozen Butternut squash and Bush Black beans.

Shock horror! It's yet another food photo!
This one was taken at the request of our school cook. She'd been preparing salads as we're approaching summer and she asked me to photograph four of them so that the catering staff could produce them all in a similar way.
I asked her if she wanted them instructional or 'arty' and she asked for both, as we might make some promotional posters to get the kids buying them.
I don't know about you, but for a school dinner in a secondary comprehensive I thought it didn't look half bad!

We made Taco salad in our large salad bowl for dinner. Ingredients included: Ground beef, Taco seasoning, Dorito nacho chips, Iceberg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese and black olives. We topped our salads with salsa and sour cream. Per usual, we had leftovers for the next day.

I made them up from their private label brand biscuits and vienna sausage, and they taste just as good. (Even with off-brand mustard!)

Cooking up oatmeal on the stovetop (hob) for breakfast.
Oh, but is it steel cut oats? Prolly not: it's the cheap stuff from Walmart, measured out in a plastic measuring cup from Dollar Tree.
But hey, that's a circa 1980 Revere Ware copper-bottom cooking pot, genuine Made In USA!
Anybody who shops at a Walmart superstore, and likes lasagna with no work, should try this frozen 2-pound tray for $5.99!!! It is all you want from a lasagna, and would easily pass for homemade! Microwaves in 14 minutes to a delicious gooey, chewy dinner!
I baked Chicken tenderloins and Zucchini medley. And then heated Black beans on the stove. I seasoned the Chicken with Adobo seasoning. And once plated, I put Salt & Black pepper on the Zucchini. I also seasoned the Black beans with Tajin.

This is my breakfast every day:
Three egg whites, tomato sauce, and some mozzarella cheese on top… it’s like a pizza that’s really good for you.
Ate out for dinner again; an end to a long week, and never again… so sick tonight.
Separated at the factory? Sometimes store brand products either use the same containers or are made by the same manufacturer (I'm guessing here.) The left container is from Wal-Mart, the right is from Food Lion.
