Long gone but not forgotten

Had one of these growing up. He was the most awesome dog I ever owned.

This big beautiful boy posed for my camera! He was attending a dog show in Castle Hill in March 2003. Apparently he was still only young in this photo with some growing to do still! His owner wasn't exactly short either!

and it's helping get rid of those baby teeth! yes...

We just found out Tug's good buddy, Eustace (who is three years old) has Wobblers Disease.

Wobbler syndrome is a disease of the neck (the cervical spine) that is seen in large and giant breeds of dog.

These dogs experience compression of the spinal cord and the spinal nerve roots,

resulting in nervous system deficits and/or neck pain.

He is presently doing okay but it will shorten his life.

Eustace is such a sweet, beautiful boy.

So sad this has happened to him.

hera sits at my feet each day as i go through my morning routine, one of which is using a hair dryer... she loves to chew at the air blowing out, and i love shooting her goober face when she does it.

Last June while biking through the marsh this young man and his Great Dane were out for a walk. I asked to take a photo of them and promised to contact him when finished. With all the work on my book I finally got it finished. When I called him today he was very surprised and happy as his dog got pneumonia and died. I am happy I followed through with my word and did the picture. Just called "Friends"
