Another of my bird discoveries in Australia was this fierce looking bandit with the Brylcreem slicked back greaser haircut. Found on the shores outside Melbourne where we were on our way to see the little (Fairy) penguins at St Kilda. Unfortunately the pier was under development so we never did get to see them. Picture of the little penguins on a previous trip below.
So Taylor....pretty much one of the funniest people i have ever met...along with Jacob...and Sarah....well...everyone was hilarious actually! Anyways loved this idea she had and i think everyone shooting it got some awesome shots out of it!!!!
Not a bad way to break in a new camera! Seconds from an A+ greaser onto RWY 23, UR-UKR is one of the Ukraine's several VIP government birds, and had on this day popped into Zagreb for an official state visit of some sorts. A curious looking machine, the An-148 was supposed to be one of the Ukraine's big commercial hopes following the collapse of the USSR, but various financial, technical, organizational and support issues - plus a fair bit of ill reputation in the West - had quickly turned it into just another failed CIS aviation project.
Built on the general layout and structure of the An-72/74 tactical transporter, the 148 (previously designated the An-74TK-300) sports a fully digital cockpit, Fly-By-Wire controls - and twin Motor Sich D-436 high bypass turbofans obstructing quite a bit of the view out of the 85 passenger cabin. Though pitched aggressively to the West before the current political crisis, the 148 had failed to attract any meaningful orders outside isolated socialist countries, always living in the shadow of the more refined E-Jets and CRJs dominating European skies...

Fourteen year old “Shorpy'” Higginbotham was a 'greaser' on the tipple at Bessie Mine, Alabama, of the Sloss-Sheffield Steel and Iron Co. 1910. He died seventeen years later in a mining accident.
"Oh poo! It's those damnable Franken-Greaser punks again, bunch of ne'er do wells. Go on you lot, rack off would ya!"
"Unnngh, this ourr turf, you go away orrr get brains bashed up. Unnngh!"
We on Earth don't quite realize how good our broadcasting tech actually is. Fekrid here is a smuggler in a different part of the galaxy. Somehow, he came across a copy of Grease floating around space and became obsessed with it. He even calls his Scoot-O-Bike, "Grease Lightning". Its turns out greased hair is quite frightening in his corner of the milky way, which is good for business!
So the scurriers from NEXO Knights make good heads. Who knew!
This guy was with his father, or possibly his grandfather, cruising around in this vintage auto. He really had the greaser look going on and fit right into the era as they got back in the car. They had burgers and milkshakes.....how cool was that!
When I take shots like this, I never approach a car, and almost never talk to the owners......SOOOOO, I’m not sure what the car is, maybe a Ford or Chevy. If you can identify it, please do.
Problem solved......Don identified her as a beautiful 1956 Ford......and beautiful she is.
