Gray tree frog, National Arboretum

The frog was climbing a window at night and its exact ID has been somewhat shaky, but I'm happy with Gray Treefrog (Hyla versicolor or Hyla chrysoscelis). Thanks to Tony and Mike for the help.

I brought the critter cam inside. It wasn't until I sat down in the comfy chair that I noticed a little frog had come along.

The two species of gray treefrog (Hyla versicolor and Hyla chrysoscelis) are nearly identical in appearance and habits, but only Hyla chrysoscelis occurs in southern Indiana.

We must really need rain if this little guy is hanging out in our hot tub. Found him clinging to the underside of the hot tub lid. Central Illinois
