Imagine the following:
By this small island a small sailboat sank in the 17th century. The 5 sailors who were on board were never found, but the rumor says that someone buried them here, in some shallow graves ....
So who lights the candle in the evenings and is this true? Who knows...Spooky :-)

This actually is not a tombstone, it was found on a random electric box on the side of the street, but by the time I got done editing it looked like something straight out of graveyard, hence the name .. it’s one of the weirder ones from my catalog that I like more then most 4/21/20

Don't look for the township of Kilmuir on a map; you won't find it, yet this scattered area of hamlets and crofts on the north-west coast of Skye's Trotternish Peninsula has a long and rich history. A 16th-century church once stood on a rise of ground, looking west towards the distant Isle of Lewis. The church is gone now, but the burial ground remains, and within it are a wealth of historic graves and monuments, among them the striking memorial to the Jacobite heroine, Flora MacDonald.

Although this is the site of the first British colony in Victoria (dating from 1803), it is believed that these graves are most probably from the 1830s or 1840s when fishermen and limeburners first moved into the district, long after the abandonment of that earlier settlement.
