Yet another Grave neglected and overgrown in the Graveyard at St James Church in Sutton on Hull.

This ujsed to be the base of a roadside cross.

Tombstones marking where two soldiers died at the Battle of Little Bighorn.

If I remember correctly, these two, isolated graves were about a quarter mile from the Last Stand location where many of the 263 soldier graves are located.

I wondered how these two soldiers died - fleeing the battle or making their own desperate last stand, as part of Custer's command of 700 who were overwhelmed by up to 3,000 Lakota, Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians.

It certainly is a beautiful and peaceful resting place.

The graves of the Cundy family, on unconsecrated ground near Curbar. They died of The Plague in 1632 some 34 years before the plague which decimated Eyam.

According to Wiki: Button Gwinnett (/ɡwɪˈnɛt/ gwin-ET; March 3, 1735 – May 19, 1777) was a British-born American Founding Father who, as a representative of Georgia to the Continental Congress, was one of the signers (first signature on the left) of the United States Declaration of Independence.[1] Gwinnett was also, briefly, the provisional president of Georgia in 1777, and Gwinnett County (now a major suburb of metropolitan Atlanta) was named for him. He was named in honor of his mother’s cousin, Barbara Button, who became his godmother.[2][3] Gwinnett was killed in a duel by rival Lachlan McIntosh following a dispute after a failed invasion of East Florida.
